The Macallan 12yo Double Cask is matured in a combination of American barrels and European sherry barrels imported from Spain, the most expensive types of barrels used to mature whisky. With its unique, contemporary bouquet, the whisky will take by surprise even those whisky enthusiasts who think they have tried all kinds of whisky on the market. Expressive, sophisticated and harmonious, this whisky displays its secrets one by one in the glass, whether you choose to enjoy it neat or with a drop of water. . Here is my review:. . Nose: A unique combination of dried fruit and butter caramels, to which are added accents of candied orange and vanilla. . Palate: Creamy aromas of fresh pastries, filled with raisins and sprinkled with fine cinnamon powder. . Finish: Fruity, vanilla. . Color: Amber. . Have you tried this one?
