Here he is, again. Totally wasted per his preferred state. It dulls the pain after all, and that’s all he really wants. He doesn’t want to have to think, to feel. And the alcohol works nicely. Except it also has a few downsides. Like the man currently hauling him out the door.

He finds himself on the cold hard sidewalk, but that’s something he’s entirely used to by this point. He’s even ready for the kick that hits him in the side, causing him to grunt in pain. This has happened many times before.

“If you know what’s good for you, you won’t come back until you can pay,” the bouncer tells him. Something else he’s used to. And then the man walks back inside, leaving him to find his priest collar that was no doubt caste out near him as usual. He’s just having trouble finding it. Another down side to being drunk.
