Basically just a shrimp
a quick turnaround of a bristletail (Dilta sp.) showing how iridescent the scales are under proper sunlight - if you cover one of these guys with your shadow and take an identical photo, it'll be all brown, but as this one was catching some rays on an old wall, the slightest movement created all sorts of hues. i'm a fan of the greens personally

To go with the silverfish from last week, here is a jumping bristletail. Their shiny scales are quite beautiful. And they don’t eat books. #archaeognatha #machilidae #petrobiinae #sciart #jumpingbristletail #sketchbook https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpx1atdhhSB/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=g5pz5sa8fw4q
