Rabid (2019)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Basically a parasitic Devil Wears Prada.
This movie was insane because of all the things they wanted to comment on and critique. Capitalism, Canada’s medical system, eugenics, the foster care system, PTSD, vegetarianism, cult-like followers, self-confidence, the list continues. But the things is - it was all done really well. No stone left unturned sort of a thing.
Something worth mentioning, the team that made the prosthetics for this film deserve a raise. So well done. And the writers that worked on the medical/science aspects made sure the script was compelling and not boring. I kiss you all on the forehead. Muah.
Canada can’t do every piece of media well, but I luckily had two good horror movies in a row.
OH MY GOD. I am going to need pre-2020 films to stop mirroring the pandemic. It’s alarming.
You should watch this if you:
are looking for some good ol’ Canadian horror
(you know it, you love it) medical malpractice!!!!
Similar titles:
Ginger Snaps trilogy (hot girl eats boys)
Jennifer’s Body (2008) (hot girl eats boys)

Elsewhere… State Senator from Delaware, Sarah McBride, tweeted about Erik von Detten and asked if anyone knew So Weird. She even linked the theme song! And Saturday Night Live featured Brink! during Weekend Update.
All of this (and tons more) kept the fandom going through a year filled with uncertainty, and we’re grateful for every moment.
We’re also grateful for you. Your interactions through likes, tags, reblogs, retweets, follows, and listens helped keep us connected over a show so many of us felt alone in watching.
So Weird and its fandom have come a long way in 20 years because of that outreach and we’re all not so alone anymore.
Wishing everyone a happy New Year, let’s keep the faith in 2022. 👽

365 DC Comics Paper Cut-Out Villains - One Villain, Every Day, All Year…
September 13th - Jax-Ur
The tyrannical cad known as Jax-Ur is a Kryptonian criminal and scientist who endeavored on a dangerous scheme to take over his world. His efforts to create a fleet of powerful missiles resulted in the accidental destruction of Krypton’s largest moon. He was soon thereafter arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in The Phantom Zone. Ironically, Jax-Ur’s incarceration enabled him to survive his home world’s destruction. He was later freed from the Phantom Zone on earth where he was empowered by the radiation of earth’s yellow sun. Superman was able to defeat the villain and Jax-Ur was once more sent back to The Phantom Zone. There he plotted alongside fellow detainees General Zod and Faora Hu-Ul. He managed to escape on another few occasions but Superman and his allies always managed to recapture the cad and send him back to the Zone. A version of Jax-Ur featured in the movie The Man of Steel portrayed by actor Mackenzie Gray. Another version of the character played a role in the television series Krypton portrayed by actress Hannah Waddingham. Jax-Ur first appeared in Adventure Comics #289 (1961).
Mackenzie Gray (aka Papa Bea/John Kane) was in the hospital battling a dangerous foot infection for most of 2020. Half of his leg had to be amputated and he still has to go through a few months of physical therapy.
Here’s calling all of the So Weird Fandom to join together to send in some well wishes for us to compile into a video to give him as one big virtual get well soon card! Send in a short audio clip, video, fanart, or comment of well wishes to soweirdondisney.gmail.com to be included!
