10,000 Hours
I could not be more thrilled to see Macklemore and Ryan Lewis stand up at The GRAMMYs tonight and take home four awards. While they have become wildly successful this year and the mainstream media has hoisted them onto the charts, claiming them as their own, MxRL will always be independent. They made it to the Grammys through incredible dedication to their music and sheer talent, nothing more. MxRL winning as much as they did symbolizes what I hope is a new trend in popular music: the talent beating out the industry. They have truly put in their 10,000 hours.
