Phil: Now, how do we feel about Gus and this cat potentially…? No? FCK, MAN! I'M NEVER GONNA GET THESE CATS!
Phil: There's no way! [Head in hands] Oh, we can't make Jellie have babies… This is terrible.
Phil: [Reading chat] "Why does he keep getting cats with lore?" I don't want to know! [Laughs] I don't want to know. This time, I don't want to know.
In an effort to keep his first cats in Hardcore "innocent," Phil embarked on a journey to find two other cats to breed — a task easier said than done when his (cat)astrophic search leads to none other than Gus, Jellie, and Madagio! 🐈
Been checking up on FitMC QSMP 2 streams and some of the lore theories about whether it is Fit or Madagio that he is playing and there are two main things that I noticed personally.
Nothing has like concrete evidence because it is more my brain rambling.
The two points are the stream titles and stream starting songs... or lack of them honestly.
This got a lot longer, not all of my thoughts but I tried to keep them clear?
First - Stream titles
QFit is a Historian. The vast majority of his QSMP 1 streams had the day count and a title. Which makes sense. Number can blur together but having words to identify certain days and events can keep those streams from blurring together.
Yet, only the first QSMP 2 stream had a title, which is interesting. And it is about getting more money. Hmm, a bit suspicious.
I may be recalling it wrong but it came off to me that QFit did not care much about the money but instead just wanted to get out of the wasteland. The money was a bonus. So why focus on the money instead of saying anything about being back again?
Well, Madagio isn't a historian. So why would they care about keeping things clean and organised about the events of the different days?
Second - Stream songs
CCFit loves using songs for story telling. I am pretty sure there is a document somewhere detailing the different songs used before each QSMP 1 stream and how they do or don't relate to QFit's character or story.
And there is one song I haven't heard. Maybe it has played and I skipped over it or it only played briefly. Even still I would reckon that it would be important to check. Just in case.
That is Concept of Love.
A really on the nose song about QFit's character and how to love is to be human. He is embracing being human by loving and to reject that it to reject humanity. Not just romantic with Pac and familial with Ramon but friendships as well. It played a lot on QSMP 1 and not during QSMP 2 (as of writing this).
Why?
Because it isn't Fit. It's Madagio. It has always been Madagio.
Personally, I think having Madagio as a character that just does not care or love any of the Islanders would be so much more interesting than them getting any kind of redemption.
And before you say anything about the interactions with Pac. Madagio knows Pac and Fit were romantic together. They know that. So they lean into it. Shower Pac with kisses and sweet words so Pac focuses on that and not the behaviours that would give Madagio away. It's love-bombing. The other original Islanders may not see anything wrong with it because it has been so long for all of them.
Ultimately, if it is Madagio then it makes sense to keep Pac unaware. Pac mentioned Madagio's name on the first day and he was told to not really mention the guy again.
I want it to be Madagio pretending to be Fit because the drama and angst that can come from it? Delicious.
Pac reuniting with the real Fit and having to fight with his brain because it still sees Madagio instead of Fit? Pac asking Madagio questions about their first date and Madagio not giving the correct answer making Pac realise that it isn't Fit? Pac pulling away and not sharing information with "Fit" only for "Fit" to ask him why he is doing that and he has done so much for Pac? Pac expecting Fit to shower him with love and affection like Madagio did only to realise and then feel sick that he would prefer an imposter over his actual boyfriend?
Also, a little small note that just came to mind and I wanted to toss out instead of making a new post
What if Fit saying to Maxo about his memory being hazy was not because his memory is hazy but because he doesn't have those memories? Fit could have easily not given Madagio all information (which is why he was surprised at Pac with Create). Lied or under/over exaggerated different information as a whole. Surely Fit, who is smart, would know better than to give all of his cards up to someone who he didn't really like anyway.
Though, we shall see how the rest of the story plays out. Whether it is true or not, I think it is fun. Once again, no explicit information, if I knew how to properly clip and post I would if I found things to note.
