So on this note, allow me to introduce you to the 3rd book of the Asylum Series. Let's go, shall we??? Book: Catacomb by Madeleine Roux (Asylum Series, #3). Genre: Horror. 💀MY REVIEW💀 💙💙💙💙💙/5 Stars. THIS BOOK IS THE BEST IN THE SERIES!!!! IT WAS SO DAMN FUN!!! This book had a road trip mystery in it. The book is so damn nice. The entire story had me gripped like crazy. I finished the book in one sitting and was craving for more. The story revolved around the same characters; Dan, Abby and Jordan who go on a road trip to New Orleans to meet Jordan's uncle and soon, on the way find out that they are being followed and the mystery revolves around why and what's wrong in New Orleans. This story is weaved in such a way that it will have you losing your mind. I swear you will go crazy after this book. The mystery is so nice and cleanly written that it will have you jumping on your cosy seat. I think I did end up almost breaking my chair because of this book. I was reading between the lines as I wanted to know the story ahead as fast as I could. This was the last part of the book with Abby, Dan and Jordan so I was emotional in the ending. The book has the most satisfactory ending and loved it a lot. The new characters in the book were also mind-blowing and there were so many funny as well as sad and scary moments that I couldn't think I had a better read in 2021. Overall, this book was mind-blowing and awesome. The writing, the characters, the plot was so intriguing and was woven into such a great story that this book was my favourite in 2021. Great book and definitely must read!!!! So that's it, hope you liked this review. Will be back with more. I have 4 series reviews coming up namely; Asylum series (this one). Folk Of The Air Series. Percy Jackson And The Olympian Series. To All The Boys I've Loved Before Series. I am trying to get these posts ready soon so keep checking my feed if you want. So let's start the review. Title: Asylum by Madeleine Roux (Asylum, #1). Genre: Horror Ratings: 💙4/5 Stars💙. I am writing this review after finishing the whole series and I can definitely say that this book is just the start of the best horror series on earth. I have not enjoyed reading any books as much as I enjoyed reading this one. The Asylum is just the starting of the whole series so it focuses more on character development and world-building. The writing of this book is very easy and suitable for young readers. There are so many important details in this book that are used later on that this book becomes the main focus point ahead. There are 3 main characters throughout the book, Dan the main protagonist, Abby the female protagonist, and Jordan, the homosexual protagonist who represents the LGBTQ+ community strongly. Throughout the book, Jordan has a very strong and good role making me fall in love with how the author gave justice to his character. The book focuses more on building the characters' friendships than the main plot as that is what is used in the other books. Usually, when you read a series' first book their main aim is building the world but as the world is revolving around the characters, the author concentrates more on them. The book has a lot of important information for later on books and also talks about the old times when lobotomy was used for the LGBTQ+ community to turn them into "normal" people as if they aren't normal😒. This book is not that interesting but it is very informative and full of adventure, love, and friendship-related chapters.
