Star wars asks: 18 ?
"How has Star Wars impacted your life?"
I made me want to write again. I went through a kind of writing drought and The Clones Wars got me writing again.
It also allowed me to meet awesome people, whom I am lucky to call friends. Some of them I actually met.
I daresay that I wrote more fics for SW than any other fandom. And I got much better. Also, it is the only fandom where my writing has inspired art (I will never be over it) and where I've had folks recognising me as "the one who writes Apocalypse Officers". This is a big deal and I am very grateful.
Also, baby me watching the Phantom Menace decided that: MAUL IS RAD!!! And that I had a thing for long-haired characters (I was a Renegade/Highlander/Xena fan. Qui-Gon was the last nail in that coffin.)
But I really got into it through TCW and the smut and endless ship probabilities. (Much like Assassin's Creed, fanart got me into it faster than Han can shoot.)
Long story short: it made me meet people, made me hone my craft as a writer, and broke my heart.
