I approached this more like ‘if Maeve was a Pokemon’ tbh 🤣(a fire/fighting type for anyone wondering, I actually have a whole yap about that here) but was fun! What she lacks in magical ability and intelligence, she more than makes up for in physical strength and speed. And maybe I went overboard with editing… is there such a thing?
Anywho, yap below the cut ⬇️
MAGIC:
girl cannot cast shit. Well, she can, but it ends badly. Until a certain Snake come into her life that is…
STRENGTH:
maybe I exaggerated this one a little because she’s pint sized. But girl is all muscle, tbf. Would knock out a bloke twice her size (or likely die trying)
SPEED:
I literally tell you on fic page one how much she loves going fast (ON HER BROOM). It’s the Chaser in her, she treats her broom with the respect it deserves and it’s in great condition, but she does enjoy pushing the speed beyond its limits (I HC it groans and splutters if you push it too far. That might be in Harry potter actually?) But she’s like a Gen Z kid wanting the newest iPhone. When there’s a new model or part for her broom that promises to go faster, she has to have it (she does have a job lol)
STAMINA:
girl trekked around the highlands saving beasts with poppy. Girl plays quidditch matches that can go on for days. Girl puts up with Sebastian’s shit (well, debatable). Enough said.
AGILITY:
This one’s a little lower because she’s beauty and grace, but can be clumsy af at times. Will stand on her broom and balance to catch the Quaffle, but will knock everyone’s cup of tea over in the common room.
INTELLIGENCE:
pls see spell casting. But also, she didn’t really have much of an education before Hogwarts. She reads and writes and secretly loves romance novels, but that’s about it. She can tell you how to knit an ugly looking duck?
CHARISMA:
oh, she’s charming when she wants/needs to be. However, she’s more likely to stick a middle finger up at you and tell you to jog tf on. She’s nice to her close friends, to the younger kids she teaches, and people who’ve earnt her respect
Thank you so much for the tag, and this amazing sheet @blue-birdie612 !!!
haven’t done one of these in a while and they’re always SO FUN! hate paperwork irl, but seemingly love pixel related paperwork
I tried to fill this out with sort of a Maeve mindset. She doesn’t like talking about her family, but here’s a link to a post about Muggle!Maeve.
And her future is something that scares her so I didn’t pad that part out. To those curious, she does indeed go pro, leading the chasers for the Montrose Magpies 🤩 info dump here
have u done the cursed ship yet? i can’t find it and want to put my oc with maeve 🤭
hello anon 🤩
I wasn’t gonna, because I didn’t know if anyone was interested hahahaha and I’m the worst with brainrotting about ships because I’m not very dedicated to them (shame on me) and I’m biased about seb being her ultimate person 🥹🥹🥹. But if you’d like to do something for fun, here she is. I’ve included a blank but also done one for my OTP lol:
(Sorry, her belongings always get dirty somehow???)
if you want the canva link to adjust anything, lemme know. Otherwise you should be able to pop it into whatever you use and add what you want. Ty @barnabyjr for the template xxx
literally all I have the creativity for is character sheets right now. Sorry not sorry 🤷♀️
I was NOT in the mood to write when I got back from work today so instead I ignored my boyfriend and did this 😌
Maeve doesn’t have THAT much symbolism in her story yet. But I have already included a few (:
Also, think I originally picked Strength as her tarot but I literally had to make a card using Canva elements so I decided to be cute and make a personalised one? Idk I don’t think I really understand tarot, IM SORRY
ALSO, that little Victorian pic was found in the game files. But I’m now stealing it and saying that’s Victorian Maeve cos she got a stink face, little bangs and stars 🥹🥹

You can find this template with questions on over on this post of @writeblood ‘s!!
BLOOD STATUS: Muggleborn. Not that she cares and she’ll deck anyone that insults it or insists their blood is better (get wrecked, Knobhouse).
Deep, deep down it bothers her slightly though. She doesn’t take well to being a witch. She’s slow to learn and, starting in fifth year, is already miles behind so she’s not great at spell work at all. Very much: doesn’t feel witch enough to succeed, but doesn’t feel muggle enough for that world either.
FAVOURITE LESSON: Defence Against the Dark Arts. She insists it’s not because she took Seb down that one time (but it most definitely is). Once she starts having Garreth as a partner in fifth year, she begins enjoying potions too and is ridiculously good at it
LEAST FAVOURITE LESSON: charms. As said above, she’s just not… good. Think this passage from my fic sums it up:
Looking forward to sharing more about her this week!!!!

So Duncan’s father has only been mentioned in my fic, but he’s such an annoyance in Maeve’s life ngl, a pureblood ministry dude who thinks he’s more important than he is 🤣 he’s just protecting his kid, but when his kid is a rat… yeah.
so I didn’t like that my intro on Wednesday gave you zero insight into who Maeve actually is so here’s another thing I made:
Maeve Clancy as told by Sebastian Sallow. (Idea from @theladyofshalott1989 because I LOVED it)
Merlin’s saggy left bollock, where do I even start?
She’s, without a doubt, the most gryffindor-est gryffindor I’ve ever met. Bold as anything, loud, reckless, stubborn enough to argue with the sun about rising in the morning. Swears more than I do, which is saying something, and she has this talent for finding trouble like it’s a bloody Snitch. If she isn’t picking a fight, she’s starting one. And yet, somehow, I’m always the one dragged into the aftermath. Typical.
She acts like she’s made of stone, like nothing gets through that sharp tongue or the glare that could cut through dragon-hide. But if you’re paying attention, like I always am, you’ll catch it. The small pauses, the way her laugh falters at the wrong moment, how her fists ball tighter when someone talks down to her. She pretends she’s untouchable. She isn’t. She’s just terrified of anyone realising it.
She grew up Muggle, down in the South of England, in a so-called middle-class family. Which, apparently, sounds much fancier than it really is. Her parents moved over from Ireland when her mother was pregnant with her brother — something about food shortages and poverty. Why they couldn’t just conjure more food is beyond me. I could never live life the Muggle way, that’s for sure.
Which means Maeve is by far the poshest-sounding one of her lot. And when you add that to the fact she’s stunning — and yes, I was going to say she’s got a cracking arse, OW stop hitting me, woman — you can imagine how her mother had great hopes of raising her into the perfect little wife. STOP, Maeve, let me finish the sentence! The idea was that she’d toddle off and marry some rich bloke with a country estate. 😒😒😒
Luckily for me, Maeve is absolutely hopeless at all of it. Cooking? Burned porridge. Sewing? You’d think she stitched the bloody thing blindfolded and missing a limb. Cleaning? Well… let’s just say she’s more likely to hex the dirt out of spite. She did nearly poison me once, though, so wifey potential. 😍
… Anyway, you’d never guess she grew up without magic when you watch her fly. First time I saw her on a broom I thought Kogawa had gone mental letting Clancy anywhere near the tryouts. Then she kicked off. And Merlin, it was like watching her breathe for the first time. The air belongs to her. On a broom she isn’t the muggle-who-isn’t-muggle-enough, or the witch-who-isn’t-witch-enough (I’ll hold back my eye roll.) Up in the air she burns more. Lights up. She’s fire and freedom stitched into one. You could watch her for hours and forget the ground exists at all. I know I do… I mean I don’t! Stop looking at me like that!
She doesn’t talk about her brother much. Only enough to tell you he mattered. Enough to see that losing him hollowed something out of her, left scars she thinks wit and swearing can patch over. They don’t. But try telling her that — well, I hope you like the food at St. Mungo’s…
Maeve Clancy drives me mad. She’s irritating, impossible, insufferable, all wrapped in a ginger, freckled parcel. Always has been. And still… she’s magnetic. She burns too bright not to notice. Too alive not to follow. There’s a huge heart and undying loyalty in her if she lets you close enough to see it. She makes the world louder, sharper, somehow better just by being in it.
