WARNINGS: graphic descriptions of blood & death, bad ending
SUMMARY: He thought the scarf you made for him can keep both of you warm forever.
„You are cold. Take this.”
The two of you haven’t been together for a long time before you understood what that life exactly meant. Sometimes he felt you were a bit too careless, a bit too comfortable in his presence. Maybe a bit delusional even – as if it didn’t concern you, as if it could be kept outside of your home.
But maybe you were just calm like that, somehow managing not to freak out when he showed up at your doorstep in the middle of winter with his jacket missing because he didn’t have the time to put it on when the bar he was in got raided.
Once the danger was out of the way, he knew that all he needed was your embrace.
You were holding a blue scarf out to him – the stitches were uneven because you started knitting recently and were just getting your hands used to the craft. But he stared at the item in awe.
“You made it?” Your innocence seemed infectious as he wrapped the fabric around his shoulders, looking at himself in the mirror. The warmth spread over his silhouette. The yarn scratched a little, but the softness was predominant.
You nodded quickly.
“It’s wool so it can be a little scratchy. Tell me if it bothers you, I can make a new one with some other yarn.”
He didn’t know wool can make fabric scratchy. But it was warm. He didn’t mind scratchy.
“Oh, wait, shit, I’m sorry…” He suddenly realized there was a cut on his shoulder, and the blood stained the edge of the scarf. He started pulling it off frantically, wanting to rush to the bathroom to try and wash it off.
You pried it out of his fingers with your steady hands, making him feel like a fool.
“Shh, there, I’ll take care of it. What about a blanket for now?”
“You made a new one?”
Baekhyun was resting on his couch, watching a TV on one of the few rare days off his work. The two of you just started living together and days like this brought comfort.
“Yep! It’s more breathable and less scratchy. And… uh.” You hesitated visibly, walking over and holding the fabric tightly. Baekhyun frowned at your sudden change of attitude. “I don’t know if it’s in good taste. I don’t want you to think of bad things when wearing it. But, uh, I made it carmine so that, you know, in case it gets dirty…”
His lips parted. He didn’t think you would get an idea like this. Now that you mentioned it, he wasn’t sure how he would feel wearing it. It was like you were acknowledging that many more times, would he risk getting it stained, and, while for him it was nothing new, it must have been a weight on your shoulders.
He reached out with his hand and pulled you towards him, making you sit on his lap. Prying the scarf out of your hands, he draped it loosely over your shoulders. He smoothed the fabric along your arms. His eyes were soft.
“I will do my best not to stain it, anyway.”
These words were a promise. Your face relaxed visibly. The weight was lifted off your shoulders as you leaned in, wrapping arms around him and burying your face in his neck.
The weight, however, was his own now, and he hoped he can carry it as well as he promised.
Baekhyun kept his promise. Almost. Once, it was splattered with blood – not his own, and he washed it diligently after. He felt guilty. But you waited for him when he came home and reassured him that it’s alright. He was shaking when he apologized over and over again for dirtying it.
Both of you knew it’s not the stain that he’s apologizing for. Both of you knew it’s not you that he should apologize for. But your forgiveness brought him peace. Your fingers traced his face delicately, reminding him that he remained human. He thought that your touch is the only thing keeping him this way.
That evening, he let himself be vulnerable. That was what he needed at the moment – to forget his world and think he’s living a normal life for just some time. The scarf was drying on the nearby rack and its warmth was the only thing he was missing. But your limbs intertwined with his own as the two of you laid in the couch provided enough warm instead. The buzzling of TV was nothing more than ambience.
His eyes remained fixated on the red hue in the distance until he drifted off. A different red hue imprinted itself in his memory and stayed with him throughout the nightmares that followed.
He would give all to dream nothing but nightmares for the rest of his life, if it meant not having to live through this one day.
When he arrived at your shared apartment, the door locks were broken out. Something in him knew that it’s too late. Something in him knew that there is nothing to cry for anymore.
It must have been hours.
Your body laid there, already losing its warmth. There was still some of it. Not much. Not enough.
“You are cold.”
His voice was dull, like it was not him speaking. If anyone heard him, they would think he’s talking in his sleep. You didn’t hear him anymore, though – so these impressions didn’t matter.
The crimson liquid seeped through the scarf as he wrapped it around you tightly, cradling your body to his chest.
He could have cried. Should have. Emotions should have ripped through him, despair like any other, anger, agitation, fear, some sort of mania. Something. Anything.
There was nothing, however.
The carmine scarf was no longer there to warm up his heart, and Baekhyun could feel it turn into a block of ice.

warnings: description of sexual activities, thigh riding, swearing, mentions of crime, lust, junmyeon has such a soft spot for reader
a/n: i wrote this some time ago as a birthday gift to my friend with another idol but i think it suits junmyeon so muchhh 🥺 anyway, this is not part of kinktober but it's definitely a good way to kick it off! 🤗
the loud music wasn’t actually enough to overlap the sound of cheering, talking, and laughing coming from the whole place. hundreds of people were smiling, although you didn’t believe any of them were truly happy. you could see money, alcohol, drugs, and lust everywhere you looked, but never truly happiness.
well, fuck it. they were all grown up adults afterall, they knew what they were doing. it’s not like someone forced them into that warehouse, into that world. you knew way too well how inviting and exciting the whole thing was, so you couldn’t blame them - although your addiction wasn’t gambling, drinking or doing drugs; although you had actually found love within those walls.
a man screaming after winning what seemed like a lot of money caught your attention. the blonde man threw herself on any guy next to him, suddenly kissing him. it didn’t go unnoticed to you the ring shining on his left hand’s finger though.
“enjoying the show?”, a very well-known voice spoke behind you, making you instantly smile.
“just seeing by myself what hell must look like.”
“wow, hell…”, he said, holding your waist and placing himself beside you now. “that’s a new nickname.”
you laughed, eyes trying to find again the couple of dudes you just saw kissing, but couldn’t find them anywhere. well, that only meant one thing…
“why do you keep coming if you don’t like it here?”
you looked at him, seeing his perfect side profile as he admired what he had built mostly by himself. the loudness, the lust, the illegal actions taking place inside that warehouse didn’t bother him - if anything, he liked it.
“because i like you and i wanna be a supportive girlfriend”, you said like it was obvious.
“okay, two things: first, you were already supportive from the moment you didn’t leave me when you found out about this. secondly, you keep calling yourself my girlfriend, but, baby, i thought we were past that a long time ago.”
if god truly existed, you prayed she didn't let junmyeon see how you blushed at that.
“yeah, well…”, you tried to come up with a reply, but after a few seconds when your brain still didn’t process anything good to say, you just trailed off and let the conversation die.
junmyeon laughed beside you, pulling you close and caressing your body. from the moment he got involved in “bad things”, he accepted that he would never find someone who he could love. he accepted the fact that, to make his name big in those kind of business, he needed to let go of any normal shit people do - like going out on dates, maybe getting married, maybe having children. he was okay with that. he knew what he got himself into when he was around 15 years old.
but that was until he met you.
that was until he saw you fighting back one of his guards at the door of one of his clubs - well, it wasn’t actually a club but you didn’t know that, he found out later. the girl in a burgundy top, pointing a finger at a huge guard caught his attention that night, and he just couldn’t ever let you go after that.
junmyeon didn’t know exactly how you turned into friends, and then into a couple, and then into whatever you two were right now. he just knew how he fell in love with you and, to be honest, how couldn’t he? what was there not to love about you?
“i like when you get shy”, he said only for you to hear, chin resting on top of your shoulder.
“i don’t”, you replied, still looking straight ahead. junmyeon didn’t miss the tiny grin on your lips though.
he kissed your shoulder, lost in a moment with you but in a lifetime of thoughts inside his head - all the thoughts about you. he closed his eyes for a bit, turning down all of his senses and just focusing on your smell and the way his lips felt against your skin. he couldn’t feel any other thing, couldn’t see any other thing, he couldn’t listen to any other thing…
or that was what he thought.
“sir?”, someone called behind you, making you both turn around. you looked curious at one of junmyeon's many guys, dressed in a suit, while junmyeon himself couldn’t look more annoyed. actually, scratch that, he couldn’t look more pissed. “there is a-”
“is someone dying?”, junmyeon asked, cutting the guy off.
“n-no, sir.”
“then why are you interrupting me and my girl?”
the dude went silent. he looked from junmyeon to you and then back to junmyeon, completely lost.
“i’m… i’m sorry, sir. i-i just thought you would like to know that-”
“well, i wouldn’t. so turn around and go fix it yourselves whatever happened. i don’t wanna know, and don’t fucking interrupt me again.”
“yes, sir”, the guy immediately said, bowing to junmyeon before going back to wherever he came.
you looked at junmyeon, staring down at him and noticing so closely how his expression changed the moment he looked at you and you two locked eyes. he went soft, all of a sudden.
“that was hot”, you joked, smirking when you felt his arm wrapping around your hips and pulling you close.
“yeah?”, he raised an eyebrow at you, what you knew was one of his ways to try to be sexy. little did he know… “i can show you hotter if you let me.”
“such a gentleman-”
the way he grabbed your wrist and pulled you away with him made you shut up though.
(...)
you watched as junmyeon closed the door of his big ass office behind him, locking it and checking it twice just to be sure. he knew no one would be crazy enough to walk in without knocking, but he liked his privacy secured.
when he turned around to watch you - his girl - he smirked. you looked breath taken, as always. his feet worked on their own and started to walk towards you without a warning. they only stopped when you were at junmyeon's reach, watching every move he made, every expression. you watched as he rested his hands on your hips again, one of his favorite parts of your body. you watched as he pulled you close, close enough to feel your breathing against his face. you watched as he closed the gap between you two, kissing you with everything he got, like he always did.
and then, you stopped taking track of his every move and started to focus on what you were feeling. you felt his tongue slipping into your mouth, you felt his hands traveling up your body to hold your neck as he kissed you, and you felt, overall, that familiar sensation between your legs.
“come here”, he whispered, leading you to the chair behind his desk.
he sat down first, unbuttoning your jeans and taking them down. you groaned when he kissed your stomach, hands resting on your thighs as you finished the job of taking off those goddamn jeans. junmyeon's looked up at you, watching your face as his kisses became openmouthed, his tongue feeling warm against your skin.
“will you take it off for me, baby?”, he asked, one of his hands tugging on your panties.
you obeyed, taking it off and letting him pull you onto his lap. junmyeon placed you on his left thigh, flexing his muscles the moment your bare skin hit his trousers.
“you’re going to ride my thigh here in my office like the good girl you are, okay?”
“you can’t tell me what to do”, you smirked at him, but the smirk was quickly wiped off your face the moment he flexed his thigh again.
“i’m sorry, you were saying…?”
you cursed a “fucker” under your breathe as you started doing what he said. your movements were lighty at first, enjoying the feeling little by little. you could both feel each other to the extent you loved the most, grabbing at each other whenever something felt too good. his hands on your waist, your hands on his shoulders now.
you moaned out loud for the first time, and that’s how junmyeon knew you were on the right track. he held your waist a little bit harder, helping the way you moved your hips down onto his thigh. he could feel his trousers getting wetter with your every move, and no words in this world could explain how he loved that.
fuck, no words in this world could explain how he loved you.
when you moaned again, junmyeon couldn’t help but moan too. he took a moment to look at you, at your expression, at the way your body was moving on top of his before going in for a kiss. he took your lips on his own, savoring you and swallowing your noises, his trousers feeling so tight now all of a sudden - but he couldn’t care less, he just wanted to make you feel good, as good as you always made him feel.
“fuck, myeon”, you groaned when he broke the kiss. your fingers were tightly tangled on his shirt, holding for dear life as if he could disappear if you let him go.
your hips started to move faster, harder, that familiar sensation building up inside you. you lost your goddamn mind when junmyeon decided to lick at your jaw, whispering sweet nothings to you in between the kisses, the sucks he’d leave on you; he poured his heart into those words though, promising himself at that very moment that he would do anything he could to always remember you how much you meant for him.
another loud moan echoed through the office, and he knew what that meant.
“come on, baby”, he whispered to you.
he didn’t have to say it twice. you finished with a call of his name, coming all over his thigh, his hands guiding your hips to help you ride through your high. junmyeon happily sighed when, at the peak of your intimacy - the moment right after the sex -, you let yourself collapse on top of him. you rested your forehead on his shoulder, trying to catch your breath as his hands traveled down to your thighs, caressing them.
seconds went by, minutes went by. nothing could touch the two of you, nothing could make him leave you, and nothing could make you walk away from him.
junmyeon smiled at the thought of always having you like that, of always being with you. but, at the same time that thought warmed his heart, it also made it ache. what if you ever got tired of him? what if you decided you no longer loved him? what if you realized he’s no good for you because of what he does for a living?
what if he had to go away someday and you didn’t wait for him?
“marry me”, he said, realizing that the words had truly left his mouth only after they did.
“what?”, you groaned.
“marry me. be with me forever. i want you forever.”
you smiled, looking up at him and holding his face in both your hands. you had the great junmyeon, the guy who built his own gang and his own way into the crime, wrapped around your finger.
“i’m with you. i always will be, a ring won’t change that”, you said, kissing his lips. “i promise i’m yours. isn’t that enough?”
junmyeon immediately nodded. anything you decided to give him was enough.

Xiumin
Sleep never did come easily to Minseok because of the various consequences for all the blood that he had on his hands. Being a man in a powerful position such as his came with a price, and that price was that his head on a platter was the desired gift for his enemies, especially since he has wrong them so many times. Therefore he never found the peace that came with sleep, which is why he was always on the go because of his inability of finding some kind of uninterrupted bliss.
But of course after yo became involved in his life, that changed. Suddenly Minseok was able to get things in life which didn’t involve in killing someone or paying an overwhelming amount for it. Instead, it just naturally came to him. Perhaps it was because you always wanted to be snuggled from behind when you lay in the bed, or that you liked to listen to his heartbeat after a particularly hard day at work, but either way Minseok found himself getting lulled into an unconscious bliss by listening to your steady breaths as you slept beside him. And for probably the first time, he found some kind of peace.
He is a creature of habit, hence why when you were not in bed with him, he was unable to fall asleep because he was so used to cradling you in his arms, being his warm body which just kept him cemented in sleepy bliss. Which leads to the slight problem of him immediately waking up whenever he didn’t feel your body pressed against his or your very presence in the bed. When he felt you no longer in the bed with him, his eyelids fluttered open and his shot up in the bed in alarm when he heard retching sounds coming from the bathroom.
The connecting bathroom to his bedroom was on and he no doubt could distinguish your voice through the retching noises, which prompted him to hastily leave the bed and hurry over, pushing opening the door to find you in the kneeling position, holding yourself over the toilet as you emptied out your stomach contents. He immediately stepped towards your in concern.
“Y/N?” He called out, walking over until he was right behind you. You looked over your shoulder and opened your mouth to say something before whirling back to empty out your stomach once again. Minseok immediately kneeled behind you and pulled your hair back, holding it together with one hand while pressing a comforting hand against your back while he waited for you to finish. He waited for a few moments before speaking. “Is everything okay?”
“Not...really.” You breathed, leaning your forehead against your hand as you felt nausea circle through your entire body, the taste of bile still present in your mouth. Minseok pressed a kiss to your clothed shoulder.
“Should I call in a doctor? Is it something you ate?“ He asked, thinking back on the dinner which the two of you had last night. He did not think that anything was wrong with it, but something was upsetting your stomach and he could not think of anything else which could cause it, unless you were coming down on something. You shook your head.
“No...I kind of have an idea of what caused it.” you said, tearing some toilet paper away from the roll and wiping your mouth with it before tossing it in the toilet and flushing. You turned around to face Minseok, him looking at you with a steady look as he waited for a further explanation, making you swallow nervously which did not go unnoticed.
“Y/N?” He called out, his hand comfortingly resting on your hip while his other hand reached out to tuck some of your hair behind your ear, making you smile slightly at his soft touch. You lifted your hand to grab his, bringing it down to rest on your thigh before you looked at him directly in the eye.
“Minseok...I’m pregnant.”
“...”
Being part of the mafia worlds usually comes with the understanding to expected the unexpected, which Minseok was very good with, but with you suddenly say that you pregnant, he definitely did not expect that. He just stared at you slack jawed, his eyes trying to detect any soft of deception in yours but he could find none, and then he glanced at your stomach which was still quite flat.
“P-Pregnant?” He repeated, eyes now fixed on your stomach as the news began to circulate in his head. You nodded and took the his hand to press it over your stomach, covering it with your own.
“Yes. Pregnant.”
While he didn’t know if he should be feeling anything yet, Minseok just slightly pressed his hand a bit more into your stomach, staring at it intensely before finally glancing back at your eyes, seeing you looking at him with nervous expectation as you waited for his final reaction to the news. But he was still rather stunned and he was now imagining the idea of him holding a young baby, one which had his eyes and your nose, or maybe your hair and your lips, along with his eyebrows or chin. His lips then slowly quirked upwards into a small smile.
“Okay.” He said, not really feeling the need to say anything else as his smile increased slightly as he looked back at your barely and gently rubbed his fingers against it. “Okay.”
Suho
There was always a constant danger to your life because of your connection to Junmyeon, as the wife of a mafia boss was most often the only weakness which enemies could exploit in their type of business. So when an all out war had begun between Jungmyeon’s gang and the Bangtan Sonyeondan gang, Junmyeon had to make sure that he kept you out of the line of fire, hence why he decided to have you sent away for a while to limit the risk of you being in danger.
However with you being his wife, you hardly made it easy for him and made sure to remind him of how stupid that you believed that he was being as you wanted to remain by his side despite the danger that it possessed. But he would hear none of it and ensured that you were sent to another country with the needed protection to make sure that you remained safe, with you protesting about it the entire time.
But despite of his persistent inclinations to keep you away safe, he still missed you. It was only natural, you were his wife and before the day you legally became his because of law, he always craved your attention, marrying you was just the extra icing on the cake. He was half-tempted to bring you back just so he could have your presence again but he knew better than to do that. Your safety came first above anything else, even above his own desires to have you back with him, so he relented in order to ensure that no harm came to you.
But then the phone call came, and everything came to a standstill.
“What did you say?” He said, his grip on his phone shaking as he stood frozen on the spot, about to head into a meeting with the rest of his members to discuss the next stage of planning. He heard some rustling on your side before you sighed and repeated what you said.
“I’m pregnant.”
You had been sent away not too long ago, about a month or so, and doing the math is his head, Junmyeon knew that it was his. But now with the war going on, just how the hell was he supposed to keep his head on straight to keep his gang alive and with the winning hand that he has over his enemy. His knees shook as they suddenly lost their strength and he slumped against the wall to support himself from collapsing completely.
“...Dammit Y/N.” He cursed, bringing his hand to his face to rub it insistently. He heard you scoff.
“Oh so sorry it is not the news you wanted to hear, especially given the precarious time that your precious gang is in.”
Sarcasm was often something you went to when you were upset about something, and given his reaction to the news and the situation he has put you in, he did not blame you for being upset, but his mind and heart were working in two different directions at the moment and he wasn’t thinking straight.
“Now is not a good time.”
“Oh, would you like me to get a refund then? Go back in time and make sure that we didn’t say goodbye in an oh so passionate way? Of course darling, anything for you.”
“Y/N-”
“Don’t Y/N me. The fact that the only thing you have said that now is not a good time to have a baby is more than enough to tell me what you think of this, of what you think of me.” He heard your voice crack at the end, a clear sign that you emotions were starting to break through the surface and an ice cold flush of dread washed over him as he listened to you.
“Y/N, that is not what-”
“No, let me leave you be. I’m guessing you are about to go to a meeting now? Have fun while I stay here pregnant without my husband knowing that he isn’t happy about this.”
You hung up before he could say anything else, and the second he heard the sound he knew that he fucked up. Junmyeon all but threw his phone to the floor before sliding down to it, covering his face as he cursed under his breath while his mind was whirling about his thoughts while his heart was only increasing his need to have you in his arms.
“Dammit...fucking dammit!” He cursed, angrily kicking his legs before he slumped his head back against the wall, his teeth gritted tightly while he continued to curse. “Damn it all.”
The news was just sprung on him so suddenly, he didn’t know what to think or feel, the timing was just not good. He knew that you would not do anything rash, especially now considering the news you just told him, but he always know he had fucked up badly with you. He needed to make it up to you...as well as maintain his gang through this stupid war.
Lay
The knife which Yixing was using to make dinner for the two of you fell out of his hands, food the last thing on his mind as he turned to look at you in shock, your body standing in the kitchen doorway with the pregnancy stick in your hands which gave you the answer that you were expecting to explain the reason of why you were late.
“What?” Yixing, still staring at you in shock even though he had heard your words so clearly. You swallowed before repeating yourself.
“I’m pregnant.”
Yixing leaned heavily on the counter, his chest feeling tight with mixed emotions while he tried to support himself both mind and body at the news. Pregnant? You? Just the thought of you carrying a baby, his baby, it was just...something he hadn’t considered before. He never really thought about his future with you, or rather the promises of a future with you. He knew that he was going to keep you in his life, you were his in every single way just as he was yours, but a baby...he never considered having a baby.
Now with the knowledge that you were carrying a part of him in your belly, a part of him which he had helped create, it just...changed things somehow. Even though Yixing had a relatively clear direction of his life, especially given his talents to his gang, suddenly things just began to sharp around him and the clearest thing which was the primary focus in everything was you. You were were the beginning and the last all of a sudden. He loves his gang, he is loyal to his gang, but now his priorities have shifted, his entire plans have shifted.
He moved away from the counter and walked to you, a steady look in his eyes as he stood in front of you and took the pregnancy stick from your hands to look at it. Two lines. A positive. A symbol of the type of future that he was going to have with you.
He felt the intensity of your eyes on him, waiting for his further reaction as he has not said anything else to you since your announcement. It was still the very early stages of the pregnancy, the baby hardly the size of a bean and yet it was growing in your belly, and Yixing was the father. Obviously neither you nor him discussed the future beyond than the two of you remaining together, but now it seemed life just tossed the two of you a massive curve ball that neither of you could dodge or hit back.
You were pregnant with Yixing’s baby, the baby of a mafia boss, and you can only imagine what kind of dangers which will pose to it, especially given Yixing’s reputation in the mafia world.
“Marry me.”
Yixing watched as your head shot up in shock, staring at him with wide eyes and a slack jaw, but he kept his face composed as he continued to look you with steady determination.
“What?” You said, this time being the one taken aback from words.
“Marry me.” Yixing repeated, not bothering to ask you for it because he knew that was what he wanted and he has always been one that always gets what he wants, including you.
“Yixing-”
“We’re going to get married, and we are going to be parents. Might as well do it right.”
Yixing never did properly plan for his future with you, content with his life now, but now with the knowledge that you were pregnant with his baby, he knew everything which he needed to know and what he needed to do. You and his baby were the first ones in his life now, his gang second. While he heard that men often become soft after families, he never considered he would be one of them. But he didn’t care what others thought.
He was going to be a husband and father, and he was going to be damn sure to make everything safe and perfect for his family.
Baekhyun
The silence was deafening in Baekhyun’s office as you stood in the middle of the room, hands nervously twisting together as you waited for his reaction, Baekhyun not moving his gaze from the paper work which he doing before you had come him with the insistent need to discuss something with him. While he wanted to wait until he returned home, you simply could not wait, which resulted in you blurting out the fact that you were...well...
“Pregnant.” Baekhyun repeated slowly, as if he was testing the word out on his tongue, and judging from the scowl on his lips, he did not like it. He finally looked from his paper work and stared hard at you, his lips fixed in a deep scowl as he narrowed his eyes. “How certain are you?”
You were unsure on how to react from his steely look, and nervously looked down at your feet to gather your thoughts before looking back at him, fingers twisting with each other once again as your nerves continued to increase. “I took the test this morning, and I am late this month so-”
“So you have not gone to a hospital yet to make sure?” Baekhyun asked, or rather stated as he continued to give you a hard look. You swallowed nervously but shook your head, making Baekhyun continue to stare at you for a few moments before finally looking away, freeing you from his gaze before he started to tidy his desk and stand up from it.
“What are you-”
“I want to personally oversee if you truly are pregnant. We are going to the hospital.”
Baekhyun picked up his jacket that was hanging over his chair before walking over to you, taking your hand in his before leading you out his office and down the corridor to head towards the parking lot of his headquarters, you staring at him in confusion and shock the entire time. When the two of you eventually got to the car, he opened the passenger side for you as usual before getting into the driver’s seat and taking off in the direction of the closest hospital.
But while it would seem that it would perhaps be a good thing that Baekhyun was personally taking you to the hospital to be certain about your pregnant, his death grip on the steering wheel and the tightness of his jaw told you another story. You subconsciously covered your stomach with your hands as you continued to look at his profile.
“Baekhyun.” You called out, him humming in response to let you know that he was listening. You nervously licked your lips. “Are you...happy about me being possibly pregnant?”
You waited for his answer, hoping for him to give it to your straight away, but instead Baekhyun remained silent. His grip on the steering wheel impossibly tightened even more and this time you are a glaring glint in his eyes as his jaw muscles twitched as he pulled into the hospital parking lot, smoothly parking the car and turning off the engine before finally turning to you to give you an answer.
“No.”
And just like a bullet, a hole was shot through your chest with the direct answer. Even when Baekhyun unbuckled your seat belt for you and got out of the car to walk to your side and help you out of the seat, the effect of his answer had shook your entire core. His hand on your lower back that insistently guided you into the hospital was no longer comforting like a lover, but rather like a jailer leading a prisoner to death row.
“Baekhyun-”
“Once the doctor confirms your status, we will do whatever is necessary.”
His tone was cold and controlled, and you did not feel any warmth from him at all, not like you usually did. Your hands now protectively covered your stomach while you stared at him like he was some kind of stranger but Baekhyun shrugged it off as he lead you into the hospital.
He was not going to bring a child into this world, not a child that was connected to him in any kind of way. He was not going to lose you to some subdivision of himself, he refused. And you were going to see that eventually when the two of you find out the true status of your supposed pregnancy. He was not going to let another him come into this world only to take you away from him.
Chen
Jongdae was a complex man, never one to reveal his emotions to others because once one knew the intentions of another, they would figure out a way to try manipulate the outcome, which is why Jongdae always kept his thoughts and emotions to himself. And when he become involved with you, he remained an enigma because of his habit of being closely guarded, and that was due to the type of environment he was forced into from a young age.
However he was not an uncaring man, he just had a cool composure. He did care for you, you knew that he did. He was a constant presence in your life which made sure that you were cared for an loved. When he kissed you, he filled you with warmth, and the way he held you at night with your back pressed tightly against his bare chest, he made you feel protected. Even though he found it difficult to open up, he made sure that you knew that he cared for you, that he loved you, even though he did not really say it with words.
But today was the first time that you saw his composed mask crack. His jaw muscle twitched and you watched as his mask piece by piece began to crack as he stared down at the pregnancy stick which you had given him, with two red stripes staring up at him while he sat on the bed with you standing in front of him, waiting for some sort of reaction.
Jongdae usually viewed emotions as a weakness, especially given how the feeling of vulnerability made him feel sick to his stomach as in the past he learnt very quickly and harshly that emotions could lead to one’s death, especially with the wrong company. But staring down at his future with you, with the promise that there was a life with you which he had helped to create, it just made him feel so many things.
Fear, worry, concern, nervousness, but most of all...joy.
Joy and hope, those were the dominant feelings that he had boiling up in his chest and when he finally looked up to lock eyes with you, his love for you just came pouring out of him that he did not even realize that he was on his feet until he was swallowing your gasp as he pressed his lips to yours in a passionate kiss, his arms wrapped tightly around you and holding you close to him. He pulled away just so he could rest his forehead against yours, still clutching the pregnancy stick tightly in his hand as he stared at you.
“You complete me.” He uttered, the intense emotion behind it nearly knocking you off your feet.
He then hugged you tightly, nearly squeezing you to death with how tight he was hugging you. You felt his body trembling slightly and when you opened your moth to say something, you heard the most abnormal sound coming from your usually stoic lover.
A sniffle.
For the first time in a long time, Jongdae allowed himself to cry. But not because of sadness, but because of the overwhelming amount of joy that he was feeling right now. He was going to be a father. You were going to be a mother. The two of you were going to have a family. The very idea of having a family of his own just filled him with so much joy that he just couldn’t help but cry in relief and in happiness.
While he did not usually say how much he loved you, the way he was breaking up in your arms told you just how much he did. He never broke open in front of anyone, not even in front of his own gang members, so that fact that he was giving you this sole opportunity to see him vulnerable, you treasured it, Because Jongdae was overjoyed that he was going to have a child with you, and that the two of you were going to be the part of something great.
“Thank you Y/N...thank you.”
He meant it. He truly meant it. He loved you and he was grateful to you. You have given him so much more meaning to his life. And he was not going to waste a single moment of it.
“Thank you for everything.”
Chanyeol
“Fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCK!”
Each time that Chanyeol cursed, a bullet was shot into one of the training targets until it was littered with holes. Chanyeol cursed loudly as he empty yet another cartridge of bullets, making him throw it across the room while he stormed over the table to grab yet another gun, only to be stopped with a hand on the shoulder.
“Cool it Chanyeol, you don’t want to blow the whole place up.” Chanyeol roughly swiped the hand off him.
“I’m dealing with guns, not fucking bombs.” Chanyeol growled at Junmyeon, shoving him away from him while he began to put together the next gun he was going to use. Junmyeon sighed.
“It is not bad news, I don’t understand why you are reacting this way.” Chanyeol whirled around to glare at his boss, teeth gritted tightly together while fury burned in his eyes.
“If you had a life like me, you would understand why I hate this so much.” He growled before storming back to the line to shoot at the two target which had been brought out.
Chanyeol did not grow up easy, it being one of the reasons of why he became involved in the mafia world in the first place. Getting abandoned by some deadbeat parents, Chanyeol had moved from foster home to foster home before eventually taking off into the streets where he learned how to survive on his own. He suffered a lot growing up, especially by the hands of adults who were poisonous and vile, that just remembering them made Chanyeol sick to his gut. He has seen the worst in the people, and he hates to think back on where he had come from because it just reminds him of how wretched this world really is.
“She hasn’t even told you yet.”
“I saved her the fucking trouble.” Chanyeol snapped, emptying yet another cartridge in his furious shooting.
When you had told him that morning that you had a few appointments that afternoon, he was suspicious because of how weird you were acting. So he had one of his men follow you around while he worked with his gang, and it was from the one phone call from his subordinate that his past life came back alive and kicking at him with furious blows. The fact that he was bringing another being into this sick world, it just infuriated him.
“She’s pregnant Chanyeol. Its a good thing-”
“It’s not a fucking good thing!” Chanyeol screamed before slamming the gun down and whirling aorund to look at his leader, eyes blazing in fury while he practically snarled like an animal. “I don’t want a fucking kid, I don’t want to contribute to this fucked up world and all of its poison! I don’t fucking want it!”
“Chanyeol-”
“If I have to cut open her belly myself then I will do it! I won’t let Y/N bring in some lowlife little shit in this world if it is the last thing I do! I’m not having a kid and that’s the fucking end of it!”
“...Is that so?” A soft but lethal voice called out, making Chanyeol whirl around to the entrance of the shooting range to see the murderous sight of you.
You stood at the doorway in a dress, looking beautiful as ever, but your eyes were murderous and you instinctively had a hand covering your stomach while you held a box in your other hand. You glanced at Junmyeon who had noticed your presence long before Chanyeol did and then back to him, your lips fixed in a permanent scowl.
“Well since you have made you intentions clear, I will be on my way.”
You dropped the box to the floor and stormed out the door, prompting Chanyeol to immediately give chase as no matter how he was feeling right now, he could not let you walk away from him. Not now, not ever.
D.O.
Kyungsoo had been away for five months for a mission, something he hated because it meant that he was away from you, but it was something that he had to do because it was important for his gang to make sure that the mission was a success. And of course you were unable to contact him during those three months because he could not afford any distractions that could disrupt him from his mission in the annihilation of his gang’s foreign rivals, nor give any indication that he had a weakness that could be used against him.
He was well assured though that you were taken care of, his gang watching over you during his absence. However when he finally returned, they did not bother to tell him about your bodily status, especially he was going to find out soon enough when the two of you were going to reunite.
When he finally arrived home and laid his eyes on you as you were in the kitchen, he breathed out your name before hurrying towards you, sweeping you into a hug which you readily returned as you snuggled your face into the crook of his neck. But as he did the same thing to you, he noticed a slight difference to your body, or rather felt it as he tried to pull you closer to him as he missed the feeling of your body against his.
There almost felt like...a barrier of space.
Kyungsoo slowly pulled away to look at you and his eyes all but bulged out when he noticed the slight belly which you had, quite different from the relatively flat belly you had before he had left. He glanced back to look at your eyes and this time he saw that you were waiting for him with patient excitement as you smiled at him while your hands rested on his arms, not wanting him to let go for even a second. Kyungsoo’s lips parted as he glanced at your belly again and then back at you.
“Are you...”
You nodded, a smile crawling on your face while shock dawn on Kyungsoo’s face. He stared at your belly again, it still being quite subtle but enough to tell him the truth. You were pregnant. Pregnant with his baby.
...
..
.
And his gang didn’t tell him a single thing about it.
Anger immediately flared up in Kyungsoo as he stepped away, determined to storm back to headquarters where he was going to fire bullets straight into the foreheads of his members because how dare they keep such an important thing from him. You were pregnant with his baby! Why the fuck would they not tell him about something as important as that? He was going to kill them, he really was going to kill them.
“Kyungsoo don’t!” You exclaimed, hugging him from behind and pressing himself against you as best as you could. “Don’t be mad at them!”
“You were pregnant and they didn’t tell me! I will fucking kill them!”
“You were on a mission love.”
“Mission be damned! I should have been here!”
“But you are now.” You said, pressing a kiss on his neck before reaching for one of his hands bringing it to your stomach so that he may feel it.
While the baby wasn't’ kicking yet, Kyungsoo couldn’t help but freeze at the feeling of your pregnant belly, making him turn to stare at it in astonishment while you covered his hand with your own to keep it there. He was furious with his gang for keeping this from him, but now...he was here. Here with you with his hand on your belly, hoping to feel some kind of movement from the life he helped create.
“...”
He didn’t say a word as he continued to feel your stomach, which prompted you to wrap your arm around his neck to pull him in closer and to press a kiss to your lips before whispering against them.
“You’re here now.”
And he was never going to leave again. Not now, not ever.
Kai
While Jongin adored you, he did not marry you for your cooking. Despite your attempts to try prepare meals for him, they always did end up in failure, not that he minded since he did have a professional cook permanently hired in order to prepare food for the two of you every day. But when he had returned home, instead of the glorious smell of Miss Choi’s cooking, he instead smelt smoke and that immediately told him that you had dismissed Miss Choi for the day to cook for yourself.
You were incredibly determined, which was one of the things which he did marry you for.
Just the sight of you made Jongin smile as he stepped into the kitchen, chuckling as you cursed loudly as you opened the oven and a small trail of smoke snuck out from the gap which made you curse even more and actually hit the oven as you closed it.
“What did the poor oven do to you?”
You jumped when you heard Jongin’s voice, making him chuckle as he walked into the kitchen and gather you into his arms as he greeted you with a kiss. You pulled away from him with flushed cheeks.
“Y-You’re home early.”
“I wanted to come home to my wife, is that a crime?” He teased, knowing that you will quip him about being a gang leader and so he is always performing some sort of illegal act. But instead you said nothing, glancing at the oven while biting your bottom lip with nervous contemplation. He cocked his head. “Something wrong?”
“Not...exactly. I just thought...that I would have had it ready by when you came home. Clearly not.” You sighed, unwinding your arms from around him before rubbing your eyes in frustration. Jongin immediately looked at you in concern.
“What do you mean?” You sighed before looking at him, no longer biting your lip but still looking nervous nonetheless.
“Just look in the oven. It will tell you.” You said, making Jongin look at you in confusion before looking at the oven.
Deciding that perhaps it was wise for him to do what you said, Jongin walked to the oven and opened it, leaning away as a bit of smoke escaped the cavern and to reveal a brunt bun on a baking tray. He stared at it for a long moment before looking at you with an unsure looking.
“Did you try a new recipe or something?” He asked, which made you gape at him.
“No I...no!” You exclaimed, making him jump slightly from the volume of your voice. Jongin looked back at the bun, eyebrows furrowing before reaching inside the oven to touch it. It was rock hard. He looked back at you.
“Don’t worry, I will still eat it.” Even though his stomach began to internally protest, he hated seeing you look so upset so he will gladly eat some burnt bun to make you smile. But it seemed to be the wrong thing to say as you actually stomped your foot before shaking your head.
“No! I...it’s...what is it?!” You demanded, making Jongin blink at you in confusion before glancing at the bun and then back at you.
“A bun?”
“And where is it?”
“...In the oven?”
You then looked at him expectantly, eyes wide and your arms spread out as you stared at him intently, as off waiting for the penny to drop. But Jongin clearly showed on his face that he had no idea at what you were trying to say, which made you groan in frustration.
“What is it altogether babe? Put it together!”
“A bun...in the oven?” Jongin tested, looking at you carefully as you impatiently stared at him.
You were clearly trying to tell him something, but he still couldn’t quite understand what it was. He looked back at the oven and the bun and furrowed his eyebrows in thought, the sentence repeating in his head before suddenly his eyes widened in realizing, the implication dawning on him before he whipped his head around to look at you.
“Are you pregnant?” He asked, or rather demanded, as hope suddenly began to boil up in his stomach and fill his entire body.
Your body finally relaxed as Jongin figured it out and you let out a relieved sigh before finally nodding, only to squeal seconds later when Jongin suddenly swept you into his arm and twirling you around the kitchen, delighted laughter filling the room as joy overwhelmed his entire body.
Sehun
Sehun was protective over you, he always has been, and with the two of you getting married, his protectiveness only increased and while you thought it was a bit much and thought that hopefully it was ease up once the two of you got married, you were proven so terribly wrong because it only seemed to get worse. Therefore the newly married bliss quickly faded away when the two of you got into your first fight since getting married.
“You are too controlling! Let me breathe!
“It is my job to protect you!”
“Protect me! Not smother me!”
And so you had walked out to breathe, ordering Sehun to not send any men after you unless he wanted to be newly divorced after getting married. He should have risked it because now you were snatched away from him from some foreign gang that thought they could get milk out some power out of Sehun. And while he was working hard to get you back, snarling angrily at the taunting calls that he would get, today he was absolutely frozen in shock while the phone call was on speaker in the middle of the meeting room, his members learning the truth at the same time as him.
“What...did you say...” Sehun uttered, looking at the phone with an intense look as the words circled aorund his head while his heart felt like it was slowly getting squeezed by a python.
“Aww, did you new wifey not tell you before she came on a little date with us? Aw well we are honored to inform you then! Congratulations, you are going to be a father!”
Sehun immediately thought back to the day where the two of you had fought, to how angry he was that you had left without informing him or taking any bodyguards with you despite the two of you being on honeymoon. You had wanted to tell him something, something important, but he did not give you the chance, immediately attacking you with his vicious words.
He now knew what you had wanted to tell him.
“She is only just starting to show too, hmm, do you think it will be a boy or a girl? If it is a boy, hmm how unfortunate that he will look like his father, but a lovely little girl who looks just like her mother, now that would be a gift to the world.”
Just hearing the slightly husked tone of the man’s voice sent fury through Sehun’s veins and he all but slammed his hands on the table as he glared at the phone furiously, his entire body shaking as imagined the ways he would torture the men keeping you captive.
“If you so much lay a finger on my wife, you’re dead.”
“My my, making threats to someone who is holding your pregnant wife captive? Tsk tsk, and here I thought you weren’t an amateur.”
Sehun was going to kill them, he was going to kill every single one of them and make them watch each other as he snips their lifelines one by one. But first he needed to get you back. He needed to get you and...and just love you. To embrace you and to tell you that he was never going to raise his voice at you again. And that he was happy, that he was happy that you were pregnant, that you and his family was growing, to just tell you that he will make you the happiest woman alive.
He needed you. He just needed you. He needed his family.
“...You have made a grave mistake making a move on my family.” Sehun growled to the phone, which only prompted the man’s voice to chuckle into the speaker.
“You made the grave mistake of letting your wife wander around a foreign city in her state, quite the failure of a newlywed if you ask me.”
“Nobody is asking you shit.” Sehun growled, only prompting another laugh.
“No one needs to, now unless you want me to start marring the beautiful skin of your wife, you will give in to our demands, unless married life doesn’t really entice you any longer.”
Sehun going to make them pay putting you through this torture, for making you and his future baby go through his torture. He was going to save you and make it up to you, he was never going to let any harm come to you again. That was an oath he was willing to take.
because the brain rot was so bad and the content so dry that I had to do it myself so...
Suho: The Kingpin
Name: Kim Junmyeon
The Kim family has always had dealings in the criminal underground. When Junmyeon was passed over to inherit the Kim business in favor of his older brother, he decided to start his own crime syndicate, which overthrew his families overnight. Now, the sole survivor of his family’s unfortunate “accident”, there’s nothing getting in his way, and he’ll make sure it stays that way – no matter the cost.
EXO – his valued inner circle who helped him to achieve this goal – are his new family, and as long as they are loyal, he will do anything for them. While being “the boss”, those in his inner circle were more his equals than anything else; very rarely did he have to pull rank, and he preferred it that way. It almost ensured their loyalty to him and kept things running much more smoothly than his more “traditional” upbringing.
Xiumin: The Underboss/Treasurer
Name: Kim Minseok
Xiumin had been around for Suho longer than anyone else – longer than either could really bother to recount. Their bond was one thicker than blood, and there was no doubts between them when it came to trust. It’s for that reason he was named as the right-hand man, and he wasn’t one to take advantage of a position like that. As they grew in renown and wealth, he took up the position of managing the funds for the mafia as well – meaning if you pissed him off, he'd make sure you were cut off until you learned your lesson.
He has learned to get along with the other inner-circle members but isn’t as touchy feely or “found-family” as Suho is. As long as they get the job done, and don’t cause him any headaches, he’s good.
Lay: The Ambassador
Name: Zhang Yixing
Yixing was possibly the most valuable addition to the criminal organization. Being fluent in Chinese, Korean, and English, Lay slid into the position of being an Ambassador for the group – spreading out their allies, and their wealth. Lay single handedly ran the Chinese operations for the group – anything Suho wanted, he got done, and he got it done efficiently. It was a kind of security that other gangs (save for some…) didn’t have, and it increased their influence on a scale that was unheard of.
Lay finds the almost symbiotic relationship between the inner circle as being incredibly soothing. He spends most of his time in Korea, only traveling to China if he has to. He prefers the company of his group, to the loneliness of his penthouse in Beijing.
Baekhyun: The Assassin/Hitman
Name: Byun Baekhyun
Baekhyun is an odd guy. In this line of work, most hitmen, or assassins carry themselves in a certain manner – silent, or big & tough, or preferring to go unnoticed… Baekhyun seemed to have missed whatever the memo was on that. His carefree, flippant, and often mischievous attitude really caught Suho’s eyes when he was first introduced to the young man who had been quickly making a name for himself in the underground; using his own name at that – something very rare, and almost naïve for an assassin. But it just impressed Suho even more, because it proved his skills. He was welcomed into EXO, and quickly into the inner circle, and he’s been the resident prankster of the group ever since.
Don’t let the puppy eyes fool you – this man has seen more bloodshed than most of the population and caused the majority of it. His innocent act just helps him to better blend in with the crowd. The other’s won’t admit it, but the thought of being on his bad side has definitely cost them some sleep in the past.
Chen: The Frontman/Informant
Name: Kim Jongdae
Kim Jongdae is a businessman – end of discussion. He knows all the tricks of the trade – how to best charm people, wrap them around his finger, and extort them for all they are. His silver tongue is a talent that Suho refused to pass up when he was assembling his team and met the young man. Because of his easily approachable nature, sharp wit, and impeccable communication skills, Chen was perfect for being the groups Frontman. Anyone that wants anything from EXO – weapons, assassinations, drugs, loans, a business proposal – no matter what, the first person you’re going to see is Chen. If he thinks your proposal is good, then he’ll pass your name on. Being the Frontman, seeing as many people as he did, he also falls into the role of informant. Nothing gets by him, and he’s stopped a lot of trouble for the gang before it can happen.
Chen, being a typical businessman, keeps his home and work life separate. He fulfills his duties for the group during business hours and won’t be bothered when he is at home with his wife and kids. This arrangement is concrete, and Suho respects it, making everything work smoothly like a well-tuned clock.
Chanyeol: The Dealer/Weapons Expert
Name: Park Chanyeol
Park Chanyeol was actually a recruit that Chen managed to sniff out. This boy was making a good name for himself as being able to get anything you needed, no questions asked. So, Suho took it upon himself to test this out, putting out a line for some rather rare, foreign weapons, and a very tight deadline. When Chanyeol delivered, he offered (insisted) the man work for him, and he’d make it worth his while. Seeing this as an opportunity to get some of the stress of working alone off his back, and increase his outreach, Chanyeol took the offer, and the rest is history.
Much like Baekhyun, Chanyeol is a laidback person, until he’s on a job. Dealing with Park Chanyeol is one of the most tense interactions you’ll have in your whole life. It’s not even that he loses the joking personality – sure, sometimes he does, but, more than anything, it’s the rage that breaks over him in waves; promising unimaginable consequences if you cross him. Chanyeol can be ruthless, especially if he knows the person he’s dealing with has a chance of causing problems for him. Best to avoid doing deals with him – because he’ll collect what he thinks he’s due, no matter the circumstances.
D.O.: The Interrogator
Name: Doh Kyungsoo
Kyungsoo is the ideal kind of man you would want for this line of work. He’s silent, straight to the point, unmerciful, and would get a job done without getting side-tracked. His promising results in squeezing information out of his victims, by whatever means, was what made Suho decide to hire him once the Kim family went under – which is where D.O. had learned to perfect his craft. Junmyeon knew that his father had a habit of undervaluing D.O.’s importance to the operations, and so, when he decided to form EXO, he approached the younger man (who was then a few years younger than him and still in his teens) with his proposal to join right away. And Suho would never forget his answer: “I deal in results. Show me yours first, and then come talk to me.” When Suho successfully proved himself capable of overthrowing the Kim syndicate, D.O. joined without question, and had been a trusted member of the inner circle since.
Kai: The Driver/Bodyguard
Name: Kim Jongin
Kai was a classic case of working his way through the ranks, eventually coming to land in the inner circle after many missions as a lower-tiered gang member. He actually was suggested to Junmyeon by Yixing, when a deal had gone south, leading to a police chase in which Kai had managed to impress the ambassador with his insanely precise evasion skills, losing the police all without getting a scratch on the car. It had been horrifying for Lay – sitting in the passenger seat while this young bodyguard drove up onto sidewalks, whipped them into reverse going 90 miles an hour, and even driving under a semi, but it was also impressive as shit. Now, Kai was the designated driver for all their big jobs and acted as extra muscle when they knew that there was a chance a deal could go sour. Kai is one of the youngest members in the circle, so some of the older one’s had some trouble at the beginning but have now warmed up to him. Each of them trust him with their life, and while they don’t really need a bodyguard (being part of an inner circle in the most feared mafia group in the world), having him by their side definitely makes them more at ease during dodgy jobs.
Sehun: The Hacker
Name: Oh Sehun
The final of the 9, and the youngest. Oh Sehun made his name when he was very, very young as being a technical genius. Anything to do with a computer, he could figure out. He even hacked into a military system when he was in middle school and was put into several government sponsored summer-camps to help grow his intellect – an oversight on the governments part. He is the only member of the 9 to actually seek EXO out first, and in a big way – by contacting Suho directly, with a proposition. The police were starting to close in on him – his youth having blocked his judgement a little and making him less careful than he should have been. He offered the mob boss, who at the time had been just starting to get his forces together, his technical expertise in exchange for safety in the ranks. Suho probably would have had him eliminated as a threat, however, with his proposition came a file, containing all the broken-down backroom movements of his family, which he had not had access to having not been the heir to the empire. Using this, he could break down the pillars of his families alliances, so, once he checked the authenticity of the information, Sehun’s offer was quickly accepted.
Working with EXO, there isn’t anyone, or anything, that can be hidden from Oh Sehun with enough time. Security cameras, bank accounts, personal documents – if Suho wants it, Sehun can get it. This makes him indispensable to the group and gives him the security to play as he likes in his free time.
You did it so well for six years. You’ve hid your son from the biggest threat of his life. But one mishap led to the biggest secret in your life being face to face with the man you’ve kept him away from all these years - his father.
Mafia!AU, Angst.
You swear it was only five seconds that you shifted your attention from him. You only took your eyes off of him to get money inside your purse while on the checkout counter. The seemingly permanent contact from your hands only parted for a moment to do a seemingly simple task. But now you've surely gotten a headache from turning your head left and right in search for him. Already dizzy walking around the crowded mall in search for Jaejin, your six year old son.
In a mix of adrenaline, worry, and sheer panic, you hastily walked around the perimeter of the store you just ran out of. He's still a small boy, with his height only reaching your hips. He couldn't have reached far given that short amount of time, right? But again, you remember the stamina of an exhilarated toddler who just ate sweets. Jaejin could've stormed off like a blizzard outside of the store in a wink.
A phone on your hand, with him as the lockscreen, you politely asked around seemingly observant people if they've seen him anywhere - all to no avail. You've already approached security and mall personnel to help you search for your son. They told you to wait in the office but how could you just sit there and wait? When the only treasure of your life is wandering God-knows-where?
Where would Jaejin run off to? You try to think positive, discarding the thought that he's already caught by a person or a group who's inherently up to no good. He's just an excited child wanting to run somewhere, maybe somewhere he can play? Bullseye.
Rushing to the toy store, you search for your son. His red pullover and black beanie printed on your mind looking for a similar fit. It was beneath a small crowd dressed formally where you found a small figure wearing a similar description, it's Jaejin for sure - you convinced yourself. Taking a few steps closer, you saw a man sitting close to your son. A wave of nervousness overtook your body, they weren't trying to kidnap your son aren't they?
But stepping closer, the man clad in a khaki coat was no stranger to your eyes.
In fact, he's extremely familiar.
Familiar to a point where he's the spitting image of your son.
"Mama!" You see Jaejin turned to you with a smile on his face which makes his chubby cheeks pop out like an easter bunny. Another pair of eyes were set on you too, one you haven't met in a couple of years - seven years to be exact.
You took in what's happening in front of you. Jaejin is smiling at you as if he received the toy robot he insistently asked you for the past few weeks. And a man that looks almost the same as your son was sitting in front of him, maybe in an attempt to talk to him closer. You're pretty sure you're pale white in shock. It somehow feels like all of Earth and skies conspired for you to face your worst nightmare today.
"She's your mom?" The man in the coat turned back to Jaejin. To which he happily nodded his head to.
"Long time no see." The man exclaimed with your name, turning to you as he stood to meet your gaze.
"Junmyeon..." Your words came out as a plea, an apology, or a cry for help. It was breathy and shaky as if his name was all you mustered to say.
And you thought that your child being kidnapped for ransom was the worst thing that could happen. Here he was, standing and smiling in front of the man you kept him away for a long time.
You're now staring coldly at the man you hid from seven years ago. In front of you was Junmyeon, holding your son - his son.
Junmyeon was only looking for a gift for one of his bodyguard’s daughter. As feared as he is in the industry that he was born and rose into, he had a tender space in his heart for children. So when he heard that one of his dear colleagues’ daughter is turning 7, he wanted to give a special gift.
He was peacefully scanning along the tons of children’s toys, wondering if he’ll ever be able to have his own. Considering his current situation, one that probably won’t change anytime soon, or ever - settling down and building a family was a risk that will paint him red right on the forehead.
Another thing is that he hasn’t found the woman to settle down with. Or maybe he did, but she just didn’t stick around long enough to make his visions into fruition.
He was accompanied by three of his bodyguards, a common protocol and one that he’s already accustomed to at this point. His close friend, Minseok, also tagged along. It was all peaceful wandering until he felt a foreign object bump onto his leg. He looked down, apparently the object wasn’t an object but a child.
Junmyeon crouched down to meet his eye level. Seeing the child’s shocked face, he patted his hands over the latter’s head.
“Are you okay?” He asked the child in front of him. He slowly took in his features and it was oddly familiar. The child looked a little bit like him when he was younger.
The child nodded, “I’m sorry.” The small one bowed in front of him, almost in a ninety degree angle, which made him smile. Okay, maybe a little bit like him was an understatement. The child looked a lot like him, maybe even a splitting image of him when he was younger.
“What’s your name? Are you alone? Where’s your parents?” Junmyeon smiled carefree on the child. Showing his tender side that has been deeply buried.
“I’m Jaejin. My mom is-..” He saw the child look around with worry and panic in his eyes.
“Oh no, you didn’t run away from her don’t you?” Junmyeon already took a liking to Jaejin.
His close friend, Minseok, also knelt down beside him. “We have a bad boy over here, don’t we? Making his mom worried and all?” He exclaimed once more, shuffling the young boy’s hair a little.
“I just want to look for toys…” Jaejin responded with a pout painted on his face, as if he’s already guilty.
“Don’t worry boy, we’ll go and find your mom. What does she look like?” Junmyeon asked once more. “Or you do you want to go and look for your toy first before looking for her?” He knew that it was probably a bad idea, he could be charged for kidnapping or even worse if he bribes the child this way. But seeing a smaller him, a young Junmyeon, made his heart leap in joy.
Jaejin nodded excitedly, “Transformers!” He exclaimed before running off in the toy store, Junmyeon aptly running after the boy.
It didn’t take long for Jaejin to find a robot of his choice, going for the striking Bumblebee. He thought twice about letting a stranger buy things for him, thinking about the warnings and rules his mom set him. How she sternly told him to stay away from unknown people, marking them as danger. But what does a 6 year old boy’s conscience have against a two foot Bumblebee toy?
Junmyeon even felt too comfortable to Jaejin too, even offering him to buy more toys for him.. Almost anything he wanted. Even insisting Jaejin to call him Uncle Jun. Maybe it was due to the strange sense of familiarity he felt - how he sees his young innocent self void of all the corruptions this world, his world, he had to deal with. And somehow, seeing his younger self gave him hope - that maybe he could go back to being that innocent boy ready to do good.
“Mama!” He was caught off guard and brought back to his senses when Jaejin suddenly shouted at a distance. But Junmyeon was more caught off guard when his eyes trailed the boy’s sight.
It’s been seven years since he last saw you. Since you decided to break off things, stating the things he lacked and his apparent inadequacy and absence as a boyfriend - things that he was guilty of and he was ready to fix, yet you refused to give him an opportunity to do so.
And in that moment, he already knew why Jaejin looked too much like him.
Because Junmyeon was already certain that Jaejin was his own blood - his son.
Your eyes wandered off from Junmyeon’s, finding another distinct pair that belonged to one person only. Minseok, another person that you haven’t seen for a while - his mouth agape at the sight unfolding before him. Of course, it doesn’t take a genius to comprehend the situation. The last time you saw Junmyeon was seven years ago, when you two broke up - and now seven years forward, there’s a six year old little boy, a spitting image of him that is, that just called you his mom.
You tried to shake off the situation and approached Jaejin. “Jin, what have I told you about staying by my side and not talking to strangers?” You lightly tugged at your son’s arms, his face slowly looking downwards in guilt and embarrassment.
“Oh come on, I’m not that much of a stranger , Y/N.” Junmyeon suddenly spoke, still standing and towering the both of you crouched down. You didn’t want to look at him yet your body betrayed your mind, his sharp gaze meeting yours. An exact opposite of the soft tone he used just right now when he spoke.
“You know him, Mama?” Jaejin’s eyes suddenly sparkled with that of his youthful innocence, one that you want him to keep for most of his life. One that’s threatened now in the presence of the ghost of your past, just standing beside you.
You stuttered before being able to answer anything to your son. “Uhm, yes. Uncle Jun is an old friend of Mama. You were lucky that it was him who found you. What if it was one of those bad guys? Do you want Mama to be sad if she loses you? Do you want to be taken away from me?” It was a lie, because Junmyeon was one of the bad guys, the worst kind even. And the latter part of your statement was already an insinuation to the current situation you’re in.
“But of course, Uncle Jun wouldn’t let that happen, right Jaejin?” Junmyeon was now already sitting beside you, his hand softly patting Jin’s hair. “Do you want some Ice cream? It’s Uncle Jun’s treat!” He smiled beside you, the way that makes his cheeks pop out and his eyes just vanish - the same way Jaejin smiles.
“Of course samchon!” Jaejin answered enthusiastically, mirroring the smile of the man in front of him. “Mama, please?” He turned to you, wearing that pout that he uses to get things into his favor. Jaejin is a smart kid, very much like his father - very much like Junmyeon.
You were left stunned by the similarities of the two now that you finally see them together. It was more than just the physical aspect but the way they speak, the way they think, the way the both of them get you to do things that you wouldn’t consider at first.
“Your Mama would absolutely say yes, right? Besides, we have a lot to catch up to.” You looked beside you, with that cunning smile from Junmyeon and his eyes full of intense emotions that you’re not quite sure of.
And that was how you found yourself sitting in a diner decorated with child-friendly colors, with your ex that is also the father of your child. And his swarm of guards seated not far away. Well, Junmyeon is the son of one of the most prolific businessmen in the whole country. It was reasonable for him to have a colony of protectors shielding him from any harm, well - it was reasonable enough for you, back when you were blindsided from the truth.
“So, is this your favorite flavor?” Junmyeon asked the child beside you, who answered an eager series of nods. “This is absolutely my favorite too.” He answered with a smile.
He wasn’t lying, Pistachio flavored ice cream used to be a staple on movie night dates you shared before. You weren’t even shocked when Jaejin gravitated to the said flavor, too.
It felt extremely odd how just an hour ago, you were sincerely hoping with all your guts to not see this spectacle of a sight in front of you. Yet right now, seeing your ex and your son felt just right. As if you didn’t spend most of your time for the past years hiding all traces of you and Jaejin from this man. They looked so similar that no one would think that they only met an hour ago. One would immediately speculate that Junmyeon was there, ever since Jaejin was growing inside your stomach, up until his birth and when he took his first steps and mouthed his first words - all the things you prevented from happening.
It has only been a month since you came back to Korea. You thought that the waters you’ve tread with Junmyeon was now tranquil enough to come back home. Living overseas for seven years, transferring from LA to Japan and back, far away from all your friends and family and all marks of the past. Starting off a new career, busying yourself with juggling a nine to five job and also being a full time mom. You thought that you could finally come back to your roots, a vague home that grew distant and alien to you. But the sight unfolding before you told you otherwise.
“Mama, can I go play at the slides? Please?” Jaejin tugged a bit on your sleeves and wore that glassy pleading eyes that never failed to make you abide by his ways.
“But Mama hasn’t finished her food yet. Wait for me so I can come with you, okay?” You shone a bright smile you always give him.
“Mama, I’m a big boy already. I can go play on my own. You can stay here and talk with Uncle Junmyeon.” Jaejin flashed a mischievous smile and you were quick to think that your son is wiser than his years. Your eyes found Junmyeon’s, how his wore a cold, dark gaze towards you.
“Fine. But take care, okay. Always remember what Mama tells you.” You spoke as you caressed Jaejin’s soft cheeks with your left hand.
“Don’t talk to strangers and don’t make girls I play with cry.” He rose his right hand in a pledging manner, wearing a bright smile of victory. You nodded and Jaejin, with his audible giggles, ran to the brightly colored play place of the diner also filled with buzzing energetic children of same age as him. The said area was bursting in laughter and sugar fueled youthfulness, a great contrast to the thick dead air that enveloped your table. In the blur of your peripheral vision, you saw Junmyeon nod to one of his men - probably signaling him to keep watch of Jaejin. An order that was aptly followed by one of his guards sitting on a table opposite yours.
The clink and clatter, the dizzying rotation of the stuffed bear that hangs in the ceiling, the relentless crying of the baby that refused to be shushed no matter what plea of her embarrassed mother; you tried to focus on all of this things. Your senses floated beyond the imaginary confined space that closed off you and Junmyeon from the rest of the diner. Your hand, armed with your fork, mindlessly toyed with the barely scathed serving of blandly seasoned corn and carrots on your plate. You did everything just to avoid looking into his eyes.
There was a handful of acceptable reasons why you don’t want to converse with Junmyeon. First, you don’t have a prepared script on what to say to him when you see him again. As you never expected nor desired that to happen. Second, you were unsure of what you’re feeling. You were absolute that you’d loathe the day that you cross paths with him again, but you’d be dumb to deny that seeing him and Jaejin together didn’t make you wish that he was beside the both of you all along.
“So when did you plan to tell me?” It was uncommon for you to be nervous, moreover be tense. Yet it was also highly rare for Junmyeon to sound cold, or at least you never remembered him to be. You shut your eyes forcibly, in hopes to muster an answer. “Or did you ever even plan to tell me?”
“Tell you what?” You finally summoned enough courage to look at him dead straight in the eye. You are well aware that playing dumb wasn’t the best card to pull but your deck was thin.
“That you were pregnant? Or that I fathered a child that I never would’ve knew existed if I he hadn’t bumped to me in a mall?” His face was expressionless, unforgivingly void of any emotion. Not that any trace of sadness or anger would help your current situation but it was surely something that would give you a foundation to stand on and a trajectory to take.
“You’re not his father.” You looked away, not even you believed what you just muttered under your breath.
Junmyeon gave a bitter laugh full of disbelief, “Then who? Tell me. Because as far as I know I don’t have a twin that could make someone look that much like me.” You felt his hand grip your wrist, an action that earned him a gasp from you. The sudden contact sent a shiver down your spine, whether from the harshness of his grasp or the familiar web of fingerprints that laid down your skin once more.
You didn’t even bother to reply and just snatched your hand back. You had to admit that you’ve never been a good liar, specially not to those people who knew you best - not to Junmyeon. You looked behind you, catching a glimpse of Jaejin laughing carelessly as he’s chasing other children that cackled in the same level of amusement.
“What? How many guys have you fucked that you don’t even remember who the father of your child is?” His tone got unexpectedly higher, you shot him a stern look and looked around you right afterwards. His words wasn’t exactly fitting in the lively diner, his scandalous choice of words would surely ruin a happy family fun Saturday dinner.
“Fine, you’re his father. What now?”
“You tell me. What now?”” He retorted right back.
“I just can’t tell him that the guy he randomly ran into is his father!” Your tone raised but still maintaining a relatively shushed volume, afraid of scandalizing the peaceful diner.
“Imagine how easier it could’ve been if you told me seven years ago.” A hint of sad defeat was evident in his voice, and how that glint of emotion made you feel bad was surreal. Of course, he’s sad - probably even angry. You remember all the times he imagined the day he’ll become a father, and boy was he really excited to be one. Junmyeon made all these plans and dreams with you only for you to break it down to ashes.
“That’s not something we can still change, right?” You sighed. “Look, just forget this ever happened. I.. we’ll just go back to LA, far away from you so you’ll never have to see us again. Just forget this day.”
“Do you really think I’d let that happen? Did you lose your logic all these years, Y/N? I just found out that I have a son that’s already running around and talking and you think I’ll just let him go again?”
You slowly landed your fork on the table, depleted of any response nor resolve to the situation. It was a checkmated chess match, and you have no choice but to leave the decision to Junmyeon. “What do you want, Junmyeon?”
“I want to be a father to my son.”
Junmyeon insisted to drop the both of you back to your current apartment. Not that you could refuse to anything that he says. In all honesty, you never feared Junmyeon before. He was this sweet, almost-too-perfect man that always gets you what you want, when you want. But now armed with the knowledge of what he does for a living, there’s an imminent fear in your veins. You barely have an idea on what extents he’s willing to do just to have and get his son.
You were mum in the backseat, beside you was Jaejin and his father. They already had this undeniable dynamic with each other. Jaejin is a friendly and approachable child, but this connection with him and Junmyeon almost made you jealous. You wonder if their cheekbones hasn’t tired out from all that smiling and laughing on each other’s jokes about certain cartoon characters that you only know so shallowly of.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Junmyeon all too seriously asks your son, who in turn looks at you with a smile.
“I want to be a lawyer. Mama said she wanted to be one but she had to do other things. I want to continue her dreams. Right mama?” Jaejin gleamed his small, baby teeth to you. One that you answered with a warm, close lipped smile.
“I’m sure you’ll be a great one, Jaejin.” Junmyeon noted as he looked at you with his brown soulful eyes, and you already knew what he meant.
You remembered how you broke up years ago, saying how you wanted to pursue further studies in Law abroad, in a institution of a greater name and reputation. It was among many things that you reasoned out to make him let you go. It was a messy parting, for sure.
Junmyeon expected that when he sees you again, you’ll be an honorable lawyer, finally accompanied with that well-earned “Atty.” prior to your name. The breakup made him too much of a mess but he understood the weight and importance of your dreams over his personal interests to stay with you. Because if he could’ve had it his way, you’d just stay with him, settle down, and let him do all the work. He’ll be able to support you financially, after all. But that’s not the case right now. You returned after almost a decade, not with an honorable title but with a child; his child.
“Always be a good boy, okay? Don’t give your mama a hard time.” Junmyeon patted Jaejin’s head as he towered over him by the doorframe.
“Ofcourse, samchon! I’m always a good boy!”
“Yeah, remember my promise if you’re a good boy? I’ll give you all the toys you want, as long as you’re good, okay?” And they sealed their deal with a high five.
Junmyeon looked back at you, uncertainty was painted in his eyes. “Y/N.” He exhaled, to which you only nodded softly as understanding. You knew that saying goodbye was pointless. You knew he’d be back, maybe even sooner than you’d expect him to be. He already agreed in taking the revelation slowly to Jaejin. And you agreed on letting him build and start off a relationship with the child, a sequential step to getting to know each other better.
It was a part of your night regimen to lie beside Jaejin after he drinks his milk. Usually in days that he’s off to school and you’re at work, this is the time where he tells you all about his day. But right now you just layed in silence, embracing your son in your arms. Memorizing how he breathes, how his soft bubbly cheeks feel on your hand, how his voice sounds when he calls you Mama. Because despite the agreement you’ve come into with Junmyeon, you can’t help but fear these possibilities. Partly, you could blame yourself that you’re overthinking right now. You gave Junmyeon every right to hate you, you hid his child - and what if he plays the exact same cards and hide Jaejin from you? But overthinking would resolve nothing. You just hope and pray that Junmyeon is still the same person you knew from before, compassionate and thoughtful.
“I like Uncle Junmyeon, Mama. He’s very nice to me.” You simply hummed in recognition. “He reminds me of Uncle Jinki. Can I see Uncle Junmyeon again, Mama?”
“I’m sure you will.” You kissed his forehead. “It’s getting late now, you should sleep Jaejin.”
“Okay, Mama. I’ll pray now.” You nodded, and Jaejin started his nightly prayer. At the very end was always his special wishes, this was the time when he usually drops hints on wanting a new toy, or anything that he wants. “I pray that I get to see Uncle Junmyeon again, and that my Papa from far away is happy and healthy. Amen.”
The last part broke your heart, he always prays for his father. One that you told him had to be away for the good of both of you. But how will you tell him that the Uncle that he just met earlier was his actual father that he prays to see at night?
You rushed against the swarm of people to book a taxi. It was already rush hour and your cousin just texted you that he couldn’t fetch Jaejin from the daycare that you’ve left him in. You just freshly started a new job at the busy business district of Seoul, and you badly needed to stay and be at top performance at your new job if you wanted to keep it. You relied on your younger, single, cousin to keep an eye on Jaejin after his hours at the daycare center ends. But all be damned to hell that she decided to get a date on the busiest day of the week, where you just couldn’t rush to pick Jaejin up.
You don’t know why there’s a hint of nervousness in your veins and you just can’t stay put in your cab seat. Probably because it was already 5:45 in the afternoon and the day care is only supposed to be open until 4:30. They probably wouldn’t let Jaejin wander off the streets but there’s still this random unsettledness in your blood.
Office heels and preparatory school pebbles don’t mix, that was one thing you found out today. Yet you still nearly ran to catch the doors of the facility, before all lights close down.
“Excuse me? Is Jaejin still there?” You politely asked the female guard that was just closing the doors of the pastel colored center.
“Oh, Jaejin? He was picked up by someone earlier. He was this handsome, neat looking guy that looked a lot like Jaejin. He told me that you knew that he’d pick him up? And I thought he was Jaejin’s father so I let him pick him up.”
Your jaw almost dropped at her words, Junmyeon picked up Jaejin today. You were sure that he didn’t know where Jaejin studied, or where you left him during the day. You doubt if he even knows that Jaejin doesn’t accompany you to work. But now thinking about it, Junmyeon is probably capable of anything and everything.
“Is everything okay, Maam?” The lady asked, a hint of concern evident in her voice. She should be, because if any child gets kidnapped, she’ll surely lose her job.
“Yeah, yeah.” Was all you answered as you shaked down your initial shock. Almost stumbling with your nude stilettos, you jogged down to the streets and waited for a cab again. Maybe Junmyeon just dropped Jaejin at your apartment? You know it was wishful thinking, but it was the only string that kept you from breaking down now.
The ride back to your apartment was a blur, you scaled the stairs two steps at a time despite the pain on the balls of your feet. With jittery hands, you placed the keycard on the door scanner. The quietness on the other side of the walls was already a giveaway, Jaejin wasn’t here. Yet you still searched for every part of your two room apartment. But what frightened you even more was when you reached Jaejin’s room, all his toys were gone. Not even the new Bumblebee robot that Junmyeon just granted him last week. His favorite bunny stuff toy that he had since he could barely open his eyes wasn’t in his bed, too.
It took time for your senses to register that his closet was open, and all layers were void of his clothes, too. Surely, whoever took Jaejin’s stuff has no plans of letting him set foot again here. Because if not for your familiarity to your own apartment, and the fluorescent star stickers in the ceiling, none would remind you that this was his room.
“Jaejin..” Was all you were able to mutter before the first drop of tears escaped your eyes.

Your name: submit What is this?
The far too bright light hits my eyes causing me to pull the blanket further up to cover my eyes. A low groan leaved my lips as I turn around to face away from the light. The blanket gets tugged away due to my turning and the cold air sends a shiver down my spine. I find myself trying to pull the blankets towards me but something is making it impossible.
I hear movements in front of me as I press my face further into the pillow. A warmth slips itself around my waist and pulls me towards it, pressing me closer against the source. Automatically I snuggle into the warmth and I feel the blanket return, causing my content sigh to follow. After pressing my hands against the warmth, to heat them up, I hear a soft grumble and I slowly open my eyes.
The first thing I see are my hands, pressed against someone’s bare chest. I keep the curse words to myself as my eyes slowly move upwards, almost afraid of whose face I’d see. To my relief it’s Minseok. His eyes remain closed as I snuggle closer into his chest, as he was quite warm. ‘What are you doing in my bed?’ I ask him, knowing he was awake.
‘Your bed? Look around’ he simply grumbles back, and when I take a quick peak over his shoulder I don’t see my room.. but his. ‘Oops’ I mumble before returning to my original position.
‘How did I get here?’, my second question makes him let out a soft laugh. ‘First you barged into my room, after having a few glasses of wine downstairs. Then you started whining about your bed being cold and not knowing where Luhan’s room was.’ He started as I suddenly remembered them moving Lu back to his original room, as he didn’t need to be in the hospital bed anymore.. I just didn’t know where his room was.
‘You almost feel asleep on the floor before I put you in my bed’ Minseok shrugged as he wrapped his arms tighter around me. I hummed into his chest as I felt him press his lips against my forehead.
‘Are you and Luhan like a thing?’ he suddenly asked, causing me to let out a small laugh before shaking my head. ‘Then why do you always sleep in his room?’ he urged on. ‘Because my bed is cold and I felt lonely, I wouldn’t be here with you if I was dating someone now would I’ I sassed before looking up at him, his eyes already staring back at mine.
‘Sleep in my bed then’ Minseok muttered before closing his eyes again. ‘Maybe’ I whispered back with a smirk, earning myself a soft laugh.
‘What do you mean I’m going on a date?’ I asked in surprise. Me and a few of the guys sat at the big dining table, as I waited for my lunch.
'Jun wants to take you out for dinner tonight, so you’re going out for dinner tonight’ Jongin shrugged as he took another bite of his already served food. 'Do I even have a saying in this?’ I asked causing Kyungsoo to snort and give me a look. 'You already know you don’t, so why bother’ he simply stated causing Baekhyun to look at him.
‘So you do speak’ I snarled at Kyungsoo as Baekhyun was quick to join in, ‘and to a woman no less, now that’s a surprise’ he snickered before he received a smack to the back of his head. Jongdae came walking down the stairs before taking a beeline to the kitchen. ‘Dae, where are we going tonight?’ I asked into the kitchen, and it didn’t take long before he came walking out with a stuffed mouth.
‘A restaurant’ he shrugged after swallowing the big lump of food as he stopped next to me. ‘Obviously, but which one’, my question was left unanswered as he shrugged again and continued walking to the door, probably going to fetch his car. Minseok and Tao also came walking down the stairs, Tao carrying a map and some files as he followed Jongdae outside.
Minseok gave everyone at the table a look before pressing a small kiss to my forehead, after doing so he also followed the others outside and closed the door behind him. ‘Excuse me’ Baek asked the moment the door was closed. ‘Hm?’ I hummed looking up at him.
‘What the fuck was that about?’ he continued on as one of the chefs came walking out of the kitchen. He placed the food down in front of me and quickly went back into the kitchen. ‘I just received the most hostile look from him ever and now you are ignoring me when I ask you about it. What is going on?!’ Baekhyun exclaimed before cupping his face in his hands and leaning on the table.
Kyungsoo and Jongin didn’t seem all to bothered by him as they continued eating, as Kyungsoo had now also received his food. They were probably used to his loudness by now. Hell, even I was getting used to it.
The dinner, which I literally had no choice but to go to, was only later tonight. So I had more than enough time to either do nothing, or.. probably also do nothing, as I wasn’t allowed to do much anyway. It’s not like I was actually allowed to do something in the first place. I quickly ate my food before getting up from my seat, I was about to grab my plate when I saw Jongin grabbing it and putting it underneath his almost empty one. Arguing was going to get me nowhere in this situation, as I already knew that, so I just decided to let it go and walked away.
They still didn’t want me going in the kitchen.. as there were knifes there, and they obviously still didn’t trust me with those. So all the food I’ve been given the past couple of days was cut by either the guys or the chefs, which was pretty embarrassing to be quite honest.
As I started walking towards the stairs I heard footsteps in front of me, my eyes moved up the steps only to see Yixing at the top looking down on me. He took the last few steps down to top directly in front of me. ‘Where are you going?’ he asked as he looked down at me. ‘To my room’ I shrugged before placing my foot on the first step, I used this to lean up a little as Yixing continued looking down at me.
His eyes scanned my face as he seemed to be looking for anything suspicious, his eyes slowly moved back up to meet mine before he sidestepped and walked past me. His footsteps walked over to the table as I moved up the stairs, when I reached the top I looked around the hallway. If I were to go to the left I’d end up in my own room, but Jongin’s and Kyungsoo’s rooms where also there and of course Yixing’s office. On the right side however, were Jongdae, Baekhyun and Chanyeol’s rooms for a far as I knew.. so where were the others? Maybe on the second floor?
I took the right turn and started walking towards the elevator. Junmyeon’s room was also on the second floor, but there were a few others doors there that I hadn’t “explored” yet. Instead of taking the elevator, and letting Junmyeon I was going upstairs, I took the other set of stairs as I made my way up. As I started walking past the many doors I noticed that some of them had symbols on them, and as I went to take a closer look I noticed they were Chinese.
The one I was standing in front of had symbols which I recognized.. This said “LuHan”. I brought my hand up to knock on the door, hoping he was here. But unfortunately he was not, so I continued walking. The next door had.. stickers? This honestly looked like a teens room, it even said “keep out” on one of the stickers. A small laugh escaped my lips as I knocked on the door, I had to know who’s room this was.
From the inside I heard a soft ‘come in’, which made me grab the handle and push the door open. I almost couldn’t help my mouth from falling open as I stepped inside and let the door shut behind me. The room I was in was filled with computers, so this had to be Sehun’s room. I noticed Sehun sitting in front of at least 8 screens as he typed away on his computer.
I slowly stepped further inside the room as I looked around me, my breath catching in my throat as I saw.. myself.. There was an entire wall filled with pictures of myself, all of way before I even met Minseok and the others. There were pictures of me working at the bar, pictures of me going out for drinks with the girls, pictures of me going out for dinner and even pictures in my house. My eyes scanned over the pictures before coming to a stop at a picture of me and Lu, that was taken years ago.
Junmyeon admitted to watching over me for a while but this was.. way too much. A picture of another guy caught my eyes, it was Jin. This picture was taken after I left the club and they took me to their hotel, this was the day before it all went downhill for me. I heard some shuffling and suddenly Sehun’s voice filled my ears, ‘I got that report you asked for’.
As I turned around I saw that he was still facing the computer, but his arm was stretching backwards as he held a bunch of papers. After walking over to him I grabbed the papers from him, to which he went back to work on the computers. I noticed he was also watching over a few camera’s, even the cameras inside the house were on the screens.
I tore my eyes away from the screen to look over the files in my hand, the first few were all of my.. my workers.. Anne, Kate and all the others were in here. Junmyeon had Sehun look up all of them. While flipping through the pages I felt my stomach turn in disgust, why the hell was he doing this? Why did he need information on them when all he wanted was me.
Eventually I came across a different face, Namjoon. The next few pages were all about the members of Bangtan, or the ones they suspected or knew about. They knew Namjoon was the leader, but Jin, Jimin and Hoseok were missing from the pages. Did they not know about them, or did they just think they weren’t important enough? No, they had to not know, or else Junmyeon would have added them.
After Bangtan I was met with more unfamiliar faces and names, when suddenly a bright smile met my eyes. This one I knew, this was Jackson, the guy I met at the party yesterday. They didn’t seem to know much about him, besides that he would be an informant.
‘Oh by the way, those pictures of Y/N.. There are still a few on the table over there but I was hoping I could throw them away.. As you know, you don’t really need them anymore right?’ Sehun suddenly asked as I turned to look around, to find the table he was talking about.
The table was right underneath the wall of well.. pictures of me. As I walked over to it I noticed even more pictures, these were just the unused ones. I flipped some aside when I suddenly felt my breathing stop for a moment, right on the surface of the table were pictures of me in my bedroom. Pictures of me sleeping that seemed to be taken from right outside my window, pictures of me just walking around and hell, even a few of me changing.
Was this why Sehun was so shy around me? Because he knew all this information and had all of this here just laying around? I let out a scoff before turning around to face him. ‘Does he really need any of this?’ I snarled, causing Sehun to suddenly stop with what he was doing as he slowly turned around on the chair and got up.
His eyes went wide as he looked back at me, his eyes moving over the files and the pictures of me in my underwear I was now holding up. I also noticed his eyes quickly moving to the door, only to go back to me immediately. ‘Don’t even try’ I warned before pointing to the chair, motioning for him to sit back down.
After another hopeful look towards the door Sehun reluctantly sat down as he looked back towards me. ‘Who took these pictures?’ I asked and he took a moment to think about a good answer. ‘Tao took a few.. But also Jongin, Baekhyun and Chanyeol’ he admitted before looking down at the floor.
With a small laugh I practically threw the papers on the table behind me and walked over to him. ‘I didn’t want them here, I swear!’ Sehun yelled out in panic as he flinched and shrunk away in his chair, afraid I was going to hurt him. I kneeled down in front of him before softly cupping his face in my hands.
‘Is that why you don’t talk or even look at me?’ the words left my lips in a soft whisper as he almost immediately nodded to answer my question. ‘It makes me uncomfortable’ he muttered and I could see his eyes start to well up in tears. ‘Hey, look at me’ I shushed him as I moved him face up, his eyes hesitantly met mine as he waited for me to continue.
‘Let’s get this straight, I’m not mad at you. This is not your doing, so it’s not right for me to get mad at you’ I explained as he nodded, his hands moving up to wrap around my wrists. They were shaking as he closed his eyes for a moment. Without much talk, I let go of his face and wrapped my arms around him as I pulled him towards me. Sehun easily put his face in the crook of my neck as he took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
One of my hands went through his hair as I tried cooing him. His arms wrapped itself around me as he pulled me closer in the hug. ‘I’m sorry’ he whispered into my neck, just loud enough for me to hear. ‘Don’t be’ I smiled before letting go of him and pressing a small kiss to his forehead. ‘How did you get here Sehun?’ the question seemed to surprise him as we let go of each other and pulled back, Sehun moving to sit in his chair properly.
‘Junmyeon found me when I was in school. I had always had an interest in hacking but I wasn’t doing too good with my grades. So this one time I hacked into the school computers and made a few.. changed to my grades, but obviously they found out’ he started talking before pulling another chair up and motioning for me to sit down. For one of the first times since I had been in this house, I actually did as I was asked and sat down next to him.
‘I had to file a report at the police station and Junmyeon just happened to be there too. He asked me what I was in for and when I explained my hacking.. skills.. he uh, offered me a job’ Sehun finished as he took a short look at one of the screens before turning back to me.
‘So you basically just said yes to working for a stranger?’ I asked, trying not to let my mouth fall open. ‘Well, he offered to bail me out first. All I had to do was a small thing for him, so I accepted. After the job however, he offered me money to continue working and help him out every now and then. He told me to take my time and think about it and even said that he’d let me focus on school first, as he found it was important’ he snickered, which caused me to join in. ‘That does sound like Junmyeon’ I softly laughed as he nodded.
‘When I finished school I came back and the jobs eventually became more.. Gruesome.. But of course I had already figured out who these guys were and what they did, I just couldn’t bring myself to leave. Maybe I saw scared at the time, but now they’re like.. My family.’ He smiled at the thought before meeting my eyes, giving me the same smile.
I smiled back at him before looking at the screen and letting out a soft sigh. ‘What about you?’ he suddenly asked, making me turn my head and hum ‘what about me?’.
‘Before you got here.. Junmyeon asked me to find you, said you were an old friend of his and he wanted to know if you were ok and where you were. Is that true? Where you really friends?’ Sehun asked and I could tell he was still unsure if it was a good idea to ask that.
‘Yes we were, hell we were best friends even. I couldn’t imagine my life without him a few years back, before this happened of course’ I admitted as another laugh left me, now I wasn’t even sure what we were. ‘So what happened.. If you don’t mind me asking of course’ Sehun quickly added that last part as he leaned in a little, interested to hear what the story was. ‘He left’ I whispered, my eyes hitting the floor for a moment.
‘We grew up together, were super close our entire life when eventually he.. had to leave. He didn’t tell me before hand, I just came home one time when I noticed the lights in his house were out and it just seemed empty. My parents were the ones to tell me that him and his family had left to go somewhere else. They didn’t know where and Junmyeon had come by earlier to tell them, and give them some stupid note’ I hissed as I remembered the note my parents had given me.
‘It was basically just him trying to explain why they had to leave, that eventually they left all places to live and they moved around a lot. He explained that he was sorry but that he could never come back, how it broke his heart and he hoped that one day I would understand’. Sehun grimaced at my memory before rubbing the back of his neck, ‘Ouch’. I nodded to this as I looked back up to meet his eyes.
‘Did you ever find out why they left?’ Sehun asked and I took a moment to think about it. ‘At first I didn’t, I had no idea why and that’s what drove me so mad. But now I think it might have been this job of his, or his dad’s job’ I explained as Sehun nodded along to what I said.
‘Before they left my dad had gotten sick, and Junmyeon was a good help for me to get through that. The moment they left however, my dad got worse and had to go to the hospital, I had just turned 19 when this happened. The pain was unbearable for me, I lost my best friend and was close to losing my dad and had no one to help me. My mother’s mental health also went downhill, so she filled it up with alcohol’ Sehun stayed silent and let me talk as I continued speaking.
‘I left the house not much after this, rented a small apartment and my mom was send to rehab. It took a while but eventually she got better and by this time I had met Luhan. He kinda just filled the gap Junmyeon had left behind’ Sehun nodded at this before speaking up, ‘what about the bar? How did you get that?’
‘Don’t you already know that?’ I raised my eyebrows at him before he let out an awkward laugh, ‘I do actually.. I just prefer hearing it from you’ he said while doing his best to avoid eye contact.
‘My dad owned it, when he passed away we closed it down and it just laid waste there. In his testimony he had written down that the place would be moved on to me, so I could do whatever I wanted with it. It was already paid out for, so it wouldn’t become a bother to me. It was Lu’s idea to renovate and open it back up actually, mostly because at that time I needed the money’ I muttered before letting out a short laugh. Luhan had insisted I either moved in with him so my rent was less or fixed that place and opened it for business so I’d earn more money, and my pride wouldn’t let me move in with him so I turned to the business instead.
‘You and Luhan seem like close friends’ Sehun suddenly spoke up, causing me to nod. ‘Yeah, he kinda just replaced Junmyeon’ I proclaimed before getting up from my chair. ‘Anyway, I’ll go talk to him now. How about you start with removing all of that’ I shuddered as I pointed towards the big wall of pictures. Sehun let out a small nod before speaking a soft “thank you”, as he got up and started walking towards the wall I went back to the hallway. He quickly handed me the small report of information he had to make before I opened the door and stepped out his room.
As I closed the door behind me I looked into the hallway leading to the office. There was a small camera above the door, that would easily spot me from over here. For a moment I thought about what the best way was to approach this, he’d probably get mad if I started yelling so maybe a calm approach was the best one. But the calm thoughts immediately left my mind as I stopped in front of his door.
I, quite literally, swung his door open before stomping inside. I heard two rushed footsteps come towards me before Luhan came into view, looking surprised to see me. For a moment I felt myself start to calm down from just seeing him, but I couldn’t.. Not now. I noticed that Kris was also in the room, and he looked just as surprised as Luhan.
As I walked past him I felt him reach out to me, but before he could touch my I moved myself out of his grip and walked straight to Junmyeon who was calmly sitting on his desk. ‘What the fuck is this?’ I asked as I pushed the files into his hands. He raised his eyebrows at me before looking down at the files, I heard him let out a small sigh and a few curses before looking up at me. ‘It’s really not what you think’ he tried as he got up from the desk.
I gave him a hard shove, which was nowhere near enough to really do any damage, but he let me push him back a little as I took a step back. ‘So it’s not you ordering Sehun to find out everything about me and my friends, so it’s not so you can use this information against me when I don’t do whatever you want and oh please tell me.. It’s not just you getting information you can use to blackmail me in case I don’t listen. Please then give me a better explanation for whatever this is’ I yelled at him as I noticed the two behind me get closer to the two of us.
‘I was starting to trust you.. But now, I know I can’t because all you do is lie and hide things from me. How can I trust you if you do this?’ I asked as he remained silent, I could tell my words hurt him but I was too far gone to care. His actions hurt me and he never looked back to check up on me afterwards.
‘This was just.. A precaution, just in case you-’ he started but was cut off by Luhan. ‘In case she wouldn’t do as you asked, god what a selfish bastard you are’ Lu cursed as I saw Junmyeon throw him a look, he straightened his back before taking two steps towards the other man. Out of pure instinct I took a step to the side, standing in front of Junmyeon to block his path. He stopped directly in front of me, almost crashing into me as he kept looking at Luhan.
My fingers wrapped itself around the tie he was wearing as I pulled it down, making Junmyeon lower his head to look at me. His eyes met mine as I spoke to the two guys behind me, ‘please leave’. ‘But Y/N-’, ‘Now Luhan!’ I cut him off as I noticed Junmyeon nod at Kris, who wasn’t going to listen to me anyway. Both took their time as they started walking towards the door, and from all the way over here I could tell Luhan was beyond pissed.
As they closed the door behind them Junmyeon looked back down at me, and I could tell he was trying to find the right words. ‘Sit down, we need to talk’ another sigh left his lips before he nodded and walked over to the desk, letting the tie slip from my fingers. He took a seat in his own chair as I followed him, sitting in one of the two on the other side.
There was a moment of silence between the two of us, as he didn’t seem to know what to say and I didn’t even know where to start. ‘I’m having Sehun remove the pictures in his room’ the words suddenly left my lips, causing Junmyeon to look up at me. 'They should’ve been removed long ago, I’m sorry for that.. It’s must have been a.. surprise’ he admitted as I nodded along. 'Quite’ was the only response I could come up with as I crossed my legs over each other.
'You want me to trust you, you want me to be happy here but you won’t get anywhere with how you’re doing this right now. Things need to change Junmyeon, I’m getting tired of you lying to me’ I spoke when suddenly he let out a small laugh. 'Isn’t that what you’ve been doing for the past few days too though?’ He asked, making a small smile curl on my lips. He was right about that.
'Yeah you’re right, I have. I’ve been lying to you too, and I’ve been testing your trust and patience.. And I’m sorry for that, but what’s done is done and I can’t go back to change it. But maybe we could try to.. Move forward instead?’ I proposed causing him to raise his eyebrows at me. 'What exactly are you implying?’ He asked, the curiosity obvious in his voice.
'Let’s try to forgive but not forget. Let’s be honest with one another and let’s just stop hiding things. You want me to be happy here but that won’t work if you keep me in the dark with whatever is going on in and outside this house’ I offered as he took a moment to think about it, while turning to look out the window.
'You can’t expect me to tell you what it is we do here, it’s too dangerous’ he eventually spoke. 'Ok, but what about letting me walk around more. You have an entire garden you don’t use, I just need some fresh air I’m tired of being in my room all day long. Hell I’d even fix that garden if it meant I could be outside more often’ I sighed as he leaned back in his chair as he listened to what I said.
He nodded before speaking up, 'ok, let’s do that. I’ll let you go outside more, but we will discuss this every time you want to. I can’t let you go outside on your own, and if you really want to work in the garden that can be arranged. I’ll call someone in to clean it out tomorrow and you can do whatever you want with it’ he finished before looking back at me with hopeful eyes.
'Ok deal, and do I really need a bodyguard everywhere I go?’ I asked before he rubbed his forehead and nodded, 'for now yes. Maybe later we can arrange something, just see it as someone keeping you company’ he spoke before smiling at me.
There was no argument possible in this one, so I just nodded to what he said before getting up from my chair. 'If I have more things to talk to you about I’ll come upstairs’ I stated as he also got up from his chair. 'Don’t forget that we’re going out tonight at 7’ he reminded me as I started walking towards the door, but not after turning around and giving him a small wink. As I walked to the door of his office I walked past the clock, I only had a few more hours until we would leave.
I opened the door before slowly pushing it open and stepping outside. ‘That took longer than expected’ I heard Luhan say from behind the door, and as I let it fall shut I noticed him leaning against the wall while using his phone. He stuffed his phone back in his pocket before softly grabbing my hand and guiding me along with him.
Before he opened the door leading into his room I noticed Kris who was also in the hallway, he entered his room just before I could call out to him. But now at least I knew where to find him. Luhan moved the both of us into his room before shutting the door behind him. When I turned around to face him his hands were almost immediately on my face, my hands quickly wrapped themselves around his wrist as I looked at him in surprise. His eyes seemed to me moving along my face quickly, before moving it upwards to check my neck.
When he grabbed my arms to check my wrists I figured he was looking for bruises or any sign of hurt. ‘I’m fine Luhan’ I whispered as I grabbed his hands, he looked down at them for a moment before engulfing me in a tight hug. ‘I thought maybe after you talked to him like that, that he’d hurt you.. I just had to make sure you were ok’ he admitted as he slowly let go of me, creating some space between the two of us. ‘Do you really think he’d hurt me?’ I asked while Luhan moved to walk over to his bed.
‘He’s a mafia leader Y/N, I highly doubt his ex-best friend would be an obstacle’ he huffed as he sat down at the edge of the bed and moved to lay down, so his legs were hanging of the side of the bed. ‘He doesn’t see me as an ex best friend though now does he’ I smirked causing the other to let out a small groan, ‘please don’t remind me’.
I couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped me as I moved over to the bed, before laying down next to him. ‘I.. uh have to leave soon for a while’ he spoke the moment I laid down. ‘What why?’ I asked as I turned to face him. ‘There is some business in China that will need attending to, but it’ll only be me and Tao, the other will stay here I’m sure’ he explained as I let out a deep sigh.
‘Who’s idea was it to send you?’ I was sure I already knew the answer but I had to ask anyway.. Just in case. ‘Well usually Tao, Kris and I do all the business in China and we knew this was coming up, so it’s actually not his fault this time’ Luhan spoke and I could hear the annoyance in his voice.
‘Do you hate him?’ I suddenly asked, catching the both of us by surprise. ‘Who, Junmyeon?’ he asked as he looked over at me, as I nodded he looked back at the ceiling. ‘I mean no, I could never hate him. I owe more to him then I’d care to admit, I just don’t agree with his latest actions. But I guess that’s why I’m not his advisor’ he softly laughed as he ran his fingers through his hair.
‘His advisor? Who’s that?’ I asked, my eyes also moving back to the ceiling. ‘Well.. Officially speaking it’d be Yixing, he’s kinda like the doctor and the only one that still has a good working brain in his place. But Minseok is his “second in command”, so they also do a lot of work together and Kris is in charge of a lot of things as well. So I suppose it’s those three’ Luhan explained before the both of us stayed silent for a moment.
‘So let’s say.. I really wanted something, I’d have to became close friends with those three?’ I asked and from the corner of my eye I noticed Luhan turn his head to look at me. ‘Oh god, what are you planning on asking now. I’m pretty sure they aren’t giving you anything at this point’ he stated as I let of a soft hum.
‘I suppose so, but we’ll see. I’m very pervasive’ I grinned as Lu made a loud gagging sound, ‘you’re disgusting and I really do not need to know what you’ve planned, or else I’d have to report it to my boss’ he sassed as me before sitting up on the bed. ‘Now you might want to get ready, I heard something about a date tonight’ he spoke as he pointed towards the clock against the wall. Already half an hour had passed, you’ve got to be kidding me.
‘Fine’ I groaned as I also got up from the bed, ‘wish me luck’ I fake smiled at him before walking to the door and before I could close it behind me a loud ‘good luck!’ filled his room.
‘Why am I doing this again?’ I asked as I stood on front of the big mirror in my room. The dress I was wearing was.. Casual, but yet very sensual in a way. The black dress stopped just below my knees and it hugged my body perfectly. The v-cut left just enough to the imagination and to my surprise, the dress picked out by Baekhyun, wasn’t nearly what I expected from it or him.
As if on que the man himself came bursting through the door and as I watched him from the mirror I noticed the biggest grin on his face. The moment me saw me however, his shit eating grin faded. ‘Why can’t I go out with you’ he whined as he walked over to me. ‘You look very beautiful by the way’ he smiled sweetly, his eyes more focused on the dress than on me. ‘Thanks’ I spoke as I turned around to face him.
He let out a low whistle as he held his hand out to me. The moment I reached for his hand however he seemed to get a different idea as he wrapped the arm around my shoulder in pulled me into his side. The hand also quickly lowered itself to rest on the small of my back before he walked the both of us out of my room and into the hallway. Chanyeol had taken a seat at the chair in front of my room but the moment he heard my heels step into the hallway he looked up.
His eyes slowly raked over my body, starting at my legs as they made their way up as they finally reached my eyes. As he noticed me looking at him he gave me a small smirk and a wink, which immediately send me back to the previous night. Where he had been so smug about getting my underwear from Kris that he had been sending me these small smiles and winks ever since.
I had yet to ask Kris about it but I knew I wasn’t getting a good answer anyway, so I figured I’d just get back at him some other way. Maybe I’d use his own tricks against him someday. The thoughts were pushed out of my head as Baekhyun started walking again, automatically taking me with him as his hand was still on my back. Chanyeol’s footsteps could be heard behind the two of us as he followed us down the hallways and eventually down the stairs.
There were only a few guys present, and most of them sat on the couch as they watched a movie. Chanyeol continued walking towards the door, leaving me behind with Baekhyun. Junmyeon, Minseok and Yixing sat at the kitchen table as they were bent over some paperwork. Yixing was the only one without a drink as the other two were sipping on a beer, so Junmyeon better not be driving tonight.
Junmyeon was the first to notice us as he looked up from the table while throwing his head back to finish his beer. As his eyes met mine he lowered the drink and put it on the table. ‘You drinking up some courage?’ I smirked as I walked over to the three of them, Minseok and Yixing also snapped their heads in my direction as I stopped next to Yixing. I placed my hand on his shoulder while looking at Junmyeon. ‘Nope’ he muttered and from the sound of his voice I could tell this was only his first drink, he wasn’t nowhere near drunk yet.
‘Lair, you also used to do this when we were young’ the grin on my face was impossible to hide as Junmyeon ran his hand over his face, not meeting my eyes. ‘Shut up’ he let out an awkward laugh as he got up from his chair and straightened his back out. I heard a few bones crack as his eyes met mine eyes, ‘Ready to go?’ he asked and suddenly the cool and collected Junmyeon was back.
He held his hand out for me as I turned back to Yixing and Minseok, ‘Good luck with work you two’ I smiled at them before giving Minseok a small wink and giving Yixing a small kiss on the cheek. Yixing seemed to choke on air as I put my hand in Junmyeon’s and allowed him to walk me to the door. From behind me I heard Yixing let out a few small coughs as Minseok just laughed at him.
Junmyeon walked the both of us through the wrenched garden before leading me into the garage next to it. Jongdae was already leaning against the side of the car as he spoke to Chanyeol, who apparently was also coming with us. ‘Must you always have one of them with you?’ I asked Junmyeon, who just nodded. Chanyeol seemed to also hear my comment as he turned to look at me and gave me the middle finger. I stuck my tongue out at him as Junmyeon opened the door and let me slide into the car.
‘He’s here for the both of us actually, and you might want to start getting used to him because he’s not going anywhere’ Junmyeon let out a small laugh as I noticed the other two get in the seat in front. Jongdae gave us both a look from the rear view mirror before starting the car.
‘Wait, I know this restaurant. It’s that super fancy five star one right?’ I asked as we rolled up to what I assumed was the place where we’d be eating. Jongdae stopped the car as I turned over to look at Junmyeon, who nodded at me before smiling. Jongdae shut off the engine before getting out of the car, he walked over to our side of the car before opening the door.
Junmyeon was the first to get up and he was quickly greeted by someone walking down the stairs. Jongdae stayed by the door as he waited for me to come closer before extending his hand out. 'Thank you’ I smiled sweetly at him, he helped me step out of the car before letting my hand go.
We waited for Chanyeol to join us when I noticed someone taking Junmyeon up the stairs with him. They talked for a while before someone else stepped outside. I felt Jongdae press his hand against my back. 'That’s the manager if the restaurant’ he explained while Chanyeol also got out of the car and walked over next to us, he nodded at Jongdae who stayed by the car as the larger man lead me to the entrance of the restaurant.
As we were halfway there I felt him lean down to whisper in my ear, 'after your date come meet me in my room, I believe you’re going to want a certain something back’ the smirk was undeniable in his voice as he spoke and right as I was about to respond we stopped in front of his boss, the manager somehow out of sight.
Chanyeol waited outside as Junmyeon and I went inside. The first person to reach us seemed to be the host as she asked for out coats. 'Thank you Mr. Kim, just a moment please’ she smiled before walking off to the wardrobe, which to my surprise seemed.. empty.
'How the hell did you even get a table here, don’t you always need to book like 3 months in advance?’ I asked to which Jun nodded as the woman came walking black, ‘right this way please’. As the woman opened the large doors leading into the restaurant I noticed something unusual.. It was empty. ‘It helps if you’re the owner of the place’ Junmyeon whispered into my ear before smiling at me.
‘So you just emptied the entire restaurant?’ I asked in shock as he nodded. We were lead to a table in a more “secluded” part of the restaurant before the both of us sat down, Junmyeon making sure to hold my chair for me as he allowed me to slide in. So he did have some manners.
‘So, what did you have in store for me tonight?’ the smile on my face seemed to match his as we made eye contact. ‘You’ll just have to wait and see’ he winked back before we were gifted a big bottle of champagne and the menu.
The night had started off smoothly, the both of us had already ordered a starters and the main course and we were waiting on the latter as we talked. ‘Do you regret it?’ I asked before taking a small sip of the expensive drink in my hands. ‘Regret what?’ the man opposite me asked before raising his brows as if a literal question sign came up above him.
‘You tell me, I wasn’t sure where I wanted that question to go anyway’ I shrugged before taking another sip, Junmyeon shook his head before also taking a drink.
‘I regret.. Leaving. In the end there was nothing I could do to stop it, as we had to due to my dad’s job, but I was there had been more time for me to explain and of course when I came back you were already gone’ he sighed, and before he could continue talking I jumped in. ‘Wait what, you came back? When?’.
‘It was around a month after we left, I was already in the business by then but I wasn’t sure if I was ready for that life so I decided to go out and take a break. I went back to our old home, hoping to find you there as I thought you’d be able to help me.. But you weren’t, you had done the same as I had’ Junmyeon let out a small laugh when he realised the irony.
‘When Sehun came to work for me, a few years later, you were already friends with Luhan.. I just didn’t know it and neither did he know that we used to be friends. It took Sehun a while to find you but eventually he accidentally saw you meet up with Luhan and we kinda went from there’ he explained before taking another big swig of his drink.
I could tell he was, as he was on his third glass, getting tipsy from all the alcohol. It was quite easy to see to as he started talking more. ‘How old was I when you found me?’ as I asked this he took a moment to think about it, as he looked at his almost empty glass. ‘I’m pretty sure you were as old as Sehun is now.. so twentyf- or maybe you were twenty three, I think you were twenty three actually’ he spoke his voice getting slower as he thought about it.
‘And I’m almost twenty six now.. So basically you’ve been stalking me for more than two years. That’s great Myeon’ I laughed sarcastically, just before he looked up at me with raised eyebrows and bigger eyes. ‘What?’ I asked before looking behind me, there was no one there.. Was there something on my face?
When I turned back to look at Junmyeon I could see a soft pink hue on his cheeks, was that because of the alcohol.. Or was he actually blushing? ‘Sorry, I just got flashbacks to when you last called me Myeon’ he muttered before downing the rest of his glass.
The last time when I called him Myeon? I had called him that multiple times back when we were friends, but I don’t see how that could make him blush.. Oh.. Those times. Junmyeon seemed to try and avoid my eyes as I let out a small snicker. There were a few times when he and I got intimate, there were a few times when we becoming more than just friends but that also flew out the window when he left. I can’t believe he remembers that though, and just from that nickname. I had to use that to my advantage and call him that more often.
The waiters seemed to arrive at the perfect moment as they put down the main course and filled our glasses before we continued eating in silence for a moment.
The rest of the dinner was great and the food was amazing, you could definitely taste that this was a five star restaurant and when we were done eating the main they surprised me with a desert the Junmyeon had picked out for the both of us.
It wasn’t until Chanyeol waltzed inside to check if we were still here when we realized the time and we had been here for quite some time. He asked if we needed more time and when Junmyeon nodded he went back outside. ‘We should get back, it’s getting late’ he spoke the moment Chan left the building. As I nodded at him he smiled at me before standing up, ‘wait here, I’ll get our coats’ the minute we was gone however the phone on my purse made a small noise to let me know a new message had come in.
I grabbed the phone from my purse, expecting to see a text from Minseok or Luhan, but instead it came from an unknown number. “Enjoying dinner?” the message said, making me raise my brows. I thought about typing something back, but the footsteps walking towards me made me think otherwise as I put my phone back in the purse.
As Junmyeon stopped in front of me I got up from my chair and let him help me put on my coat. When I turned back around I smiled at him, before he let the two of us back to the car still waiting outside. The moment we came close to it Jongdae opened the door, ready to open ours for us. Junmyeon motioned for him to stay in the car as he opened the door for me. Jongdae looked surprised but nodded as he closed the door again and watched as he both slid into the car.
The ride back was silent, but there was one thing that kept my head buzzing the entire time. It was mostly the alcohol at this point but Junmyeon’s hand on my thigh wasn’t helping either. Just as I was about to doze off as I looked out the window he would move his fingers, caress my skin or even pinch me a little. I knew he was just doing this to keep me from falling asleep but it wasn’t helping and I could feel my skin start to grow hot underneath his touch.
The time we arrived at home my skin was burning and I needed something or anything at this point. The four of us walked back into the living room and the moment we did I felt a hand slide across my back. Chanyeol walked past me as he went for the stairs, probably going straight to his room. This also reminded me of what he had said earlier. “After your date come meet me in my room, I believe you’re going to want a certain something back”, where the words he had spoken before my date with Junmyeon.
The alcohol in my blood was telling me to go upstairs, that what was the worst that could happen and even though I wasn’t that far off I decided to listen. Before I went up I walked over to Sehun and Jongin sitting on the couch. ‘Where’s Minseok?’ I asked as to which Jongin just shrugged. ‘He’s at the bar with a few others’ Sehun explained causing me to nod and wish the both of them a good night.
As I took the first two steps up the stairs I felt someone grab my hand, and when I turned around I saw it was Junmyeon. ‘You’re leaving without saying goodbye?’ he spoke as to which I just smiled. ‘Sucks, doesn’t it?’ the words left my mouth before I could leave them and I was going to blame it on the alcohol. ‘You know I didn’t mean it like that’ he spoke before lowering his eyes down.
My hands cupped his face as I brought it back up, I pressed a small kiss to his cheek before smiling at him again. ‘It’s ok Junmyeon, goodnight’, he wished me the same before returning back into the living room with the others.
I walked down the hallway leading to my own room and to Chanyeol’s room. This time however I wasn’t sure which door it was. But my question was soon answered when I opened the first door I could reach and opened it. Chanyeol sat at the edge of his bed as he looked at the television screen, that seemed to be playing a sports game.
‘So you did decided to show up?’ it was more of a rhetorical question so I decided to ignore it as I closed the door behind me and walked over to him, to probably both of our surprise still walking straight. See, I wasn’t that drunk.. Just a bit tipsy.
‘What do you want?’ I sassed at him before stopping in front of him blocking his view with the screen. I might be towering over him but I could feel the dominance radiating of him as he spoke, ‘kneel’. To my own annoyance I did as I was told as I kneeled on the floor right in front of him. ‘Hmm.. So you do as you’re told’ he hummed before looking back at the screen above me for a moment.
‘How was your date with Junmyeon?’ he almost growled at me, to which I just shrugged ‘it was fine’. ‘You like being treated like a princess don’t you? To have someone give you all that you desire’ Chanyeol more stated than asked as he now looked back down at me. I shook my head to which he just laughed, ‘lair’.
He reached into his pocket before unfolding his hand out in front of me, my underwear of the other night rested in his palm as he looked into my eyes waiting for me to make a move. ‘If you want this back you’re going to have to do something for me. You see ever since you came here, almost everyone has been all over you and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t one of them. But now you’re here in this fucking amazing dress, and I can’t stop thinking about you’ he explained before reaching forward with his empty hand and cupping my cheek, ‘you’re driving me crazy’ he whispered as I closed my eyes for a moment letting myself push more into his hand.
Suddenly I felt his hand move to the back of my neck before pulling me in and pressing his lips against mine. Kissing Chanyeol wasn’t even close to what I had expected it to be, I thought it would be a heated and rough kiss but to my surprise he was more passionate about it.
His lips felt smooth against mine as his now empty hand reached down to grab my waist. He pulled me closer towards him, the warmth of my skin making him greedy before he licked my bottom lip. I let him deepen the kiss and the moment his tongue touched mine he pulled me up from the ground and placed me in his lap. My legs were on either side of him as he pulled my body against his own.
His hands wandered down to cup my ass as I held his face in my palms. I barely realized my dress was sliding upwards when I suddenly felt his warm hands move to my tights. I could practically feel my legs start to shake under his soft touches, I waited for him to make a move or to at least do something. But to my surprise his hands stayed firm on my legs as he held me close.
For a moment I thought about getting up, maybe he wasn’t expecting the same as I was. Without much realization I moved my hips against his, his obvious boner now pressing against my core as a low groan escaped his lips. He pulled away from my mouth as he started placing small kissing against my jaw and slowly moving down my neck. ‘Don’t leave marks’ I whined my hands now steady against his chest as I leaned my neck to the side.
‘Why, don’t want your boyfriend to see?’ he whispered against my skin before softly pressing his teeth against it, without leaving a mark. ‘He’s not my boyfriend’ I hissed before fisting the back of his neck and pressing my lips against his neck, I made sure to press my tongue against the prominent veins as I moved my way down to his collarbone.
His hands moved to my waist as he felt me get up, but once he realized I was getting back on my knees in front of him he quickly let go. My hands were resting on his knees as I looked up at him, making sure to keep eye contact as I started moving them up before palming him through his jeans. Chanyeol let out a low groan as he threw his head back, relishing in my soft touches.
After a little more of this I had gotten enough and unbuttoned his jeans, he lifted his hips and let me push them down before sitting up straight again. I pulled his member out of his boxers before giving it a slow pump, I used my finger to smear the precum down his shaft before leaning down, pressing my tongue against the tip. ‘Fuck, Y/N’ he moaned my name as he tried his best to keep quiet. The sounds coming from the television were loud enough to block most noises but the both of us still had to keep it down.
The dominant and controlling Chanyeol was almost completely gone as I opened my mouth and took in his tip, making sure to go slow as I started taking more of him in. His hands tangled into my hair as he made a makeshift ponytail before leaning back to look at me taking in his member. ‘Fuck your mouth is so good, so much better than I imagined’ he threw his head back once more as I almost smiled with him in my mouth.
I pushed him down my throat as far as I could before a small gagging sound filled the room, his moan following shortly after. My eyes started to water as I could him down my throat again almost cutting off my air supply before bringing myself back up.
Chanyeol’s fingers tightened around my hair as he pushed me down again, his hips accidentally pushed up as I gagged around him again. A small moan left my throat, the sound was mostly muffled by his member down my throat but somehow he didn’t miss it. ‘Fuck, you love this don’t you?’ the chuckle above me almost made me roll my eyes, but the moment he pushed me down again I decided to let him take control.
I tried my best do relax my throat as I let him use my mouth as his own, ‘you’re so good at this, taking me like a pro’ his groan let a surge of confidence surge through my body as I moved my hand to his balls, cupping them and softly squeezing them in my palm.
‘Oh Christ, just like that baby’ the name stirred me on more as I pulled him out of my mouth, a small whine escaping his lips. As I pumped his shaft at a quick pace the sloppy sound filled the room. ‘Where do you want to come?’ the question sounded to innocent but by the look on his face I could tell he was ready to cum right there and then.
‘Mouth’ he moaned as I squeezed his balls again. One of his hands in my hair cupped the back of my neck as he pulled me in for a quick kiss before bringing me back down. When I took him in my mouth again I could swore I felt him start to twitch already. ‘Fuck, I’m gonna- fuck, I’m coming’ as the words rang through my head I pressed my tongue against the bottom of his shaft before slowly running it back up.
Chanyeol closed his eyes as he brought me down once more. The warm spurts of cum touched the back of my throat as I gagged around him. He let me pull back as little as I tried my best to swallow all of him. The feeling of me tightning my throat around his member made him groan as he brought his head back down.
I let him finish inside my mouth before swallowing the last remains and getting up from the floor, his hands fell from my hair to next to him as he laid back on the bed. As I got up I pushed my dress back into place and grabbed the underwear from the ground, as this was the reason for me to come here in the first place.
To Chanyeol’s surprise he heard my heels click along his wooden floor as I walked to the door. ‘Where are you going?’ he asked as he tilted his head to the side to look at me.
I looked over my shoulder before smiling at him and holding up my underwear, ‘I got what I came for, so I’m done here’. He tried to call out for me, but the moment I opened his door he was quiet. I stepped outside his room before taking my heels off. After grabbing them off the floor I looked back at him still laying on the bed, ‘goodnight Chanyeol’ I winked at him before closing the door behind me and going back to my room.
