I have to tell y’all thissss >:”]
so there’s this one animatic for mag174 When jon and martin meet Simon Fairchild, so I was watching this animatic and my little sister came over (she’s 5), took my headphones and listened to it, and now EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. she makes me repeat Simon Fairchild’s bye, laughing so hard and she repeats it whenever she sees me, successfully showed my little sister MY type of brain rot ( ̄Д ̄)ノ

thank u helen for your input
j*nah: i doomed the world because i wanted to live forever and be the king of the apocalypse
oliver: yeah so everyone will eventually die
simon: jon you're the closest thing anyone's ever come to being important in this world
j*nah:
I genuinely love the hypocrisy shown within the avatars. Especially with Simon Fairchild.
Simon's entire philosophy is about our own insignificance in the universe and our lack of importance. Yet, the moment he is in any potential danger, Simon bails on the conversation.
For him, seeing others and the world as insignificant only applies if it gives a path to his own indulgence and satisfaction. The Vast is about taking and gluttony as much as it's about feeling small in the face of the universe.
So, in that way, seeing others as insignificant is just a way to not see the fault of your own actions. A hedonist lifestyle in its most extreme, and in that way, death is the most fearful prospect. Knowing the world is so infinite, you view yourself as better.
Just like all avatars, Simon's view of "insignificance" is just an excuse to hurt other people.
I will loose my mind if Daisy shows up this episode.
you really want that old man dead huh
