Bio:

Ariel is the true forest spirit. Calling upon the energies of the forest itself, there's little that Magel's mother can't do. Unfortunately for Magel, despite being able to claim direct lineage, she doesn't have even a fraction of her mother's power.

And yet, it's Magel that most dragons come to when they need Ariel's help. They find her less intimidating and often ask her to act as an intermediary on their behalf. She's happy to help! Every being in the forest has a purpose after all. She doesn't need her mother's abilities to help restore balance.

OCtober 16: Terry, Midori and Sanae's grandfather, Sage

He's a wise lil old man, like you see in all the shonen animes! He says the cryptic things and mentors the young hotheaded heroes sometimes, that's his lot in life!

After their family was slaughtered on the orders of the Stellar Twelve. Sage and his surviving grandchildren escaped to the mountains where they live in deep snow. After Terry and Midori left to gather ingredients for Sanae’s antidote, Sage remained behind to look after the poorly child, and ended up taking in Thaddeus in the meantime.

OCtober 15, we're done with characters I made when I was 15; now we can talk about ones I made when I was 14!! Here's Sanae! 

The little sister of Terry and Midori, from previous years. She is sick! And dying! So they have to find ingredients for an antidote to save her! Quickly!!

Well darn, I wasn’t actually planning on this one, but doing those last few zodiacs really got me nostalgic for Magel, so here’s the hero Terry’s older twin sister, Midori!

Like her brother, Midori had light magic called Magel, surprise surprise, hers was green, who’d have guessed? She and Terry didn’t really get along, so they split up early into the quest, going their separate ways. 

Despite Midori being a lone wolf, she was actually able to get ahead of the pack most of the time, leaving cryptic clues behind for her brother and his friends to pursue. She was the only occasionally-seen badass sibling character, you know the one, the one that learns by the end that the real power is friendship, wowee-zowee, yahoo

When I dropped Magel and moved onto Fob, Midori sort of morphed and twisted into Fearne, which is why I didn’t do her before since I kind of thought of them as the same character. But this year I just sort of decided ‘screw it’   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After all these years, we’re finally capping off Magel’s zodiac group with Aquarius, the thirteenth member of the Stellar Twelve...

While the others lost their formerly heroic intentions and became as corrupt and evil as those they first put a stop to, Aquarius was the only one who eventually spoke up and called them out on it. He’s a quiet, caring, soft-spoken guy and his team’s fall from grace was sad and painful enough to push him over the edge; when his concerns were ignored, he took action to try and sabotage their reign.

The others didn’t hesitate to label their friend for centuries a traitor and swiftly punished him, casting him into Libra’s highest security prison and villafying him to the public as ‘The Man Who Drank An Ocean’. Indeed, Aquarius’ power of seemingly-infinite water production from inside his body made this insane premise sound feasible and was used as the justification for a manufactured distrust between humans and merfolk, as the Twelve desired.

In the prison, he was eventually stumbled upon by the heroes. He explained the true origins of the Stellar Twelve to them and briefly became an ally, before sacrificing himself to let them escape with their lives. Seeing the villainous fiends ruthlessly cut down their own brother-in-arms really motivated the Beacon Bandits to complete their quest, I tell ya

For day 15, we’re back to those ancient 14-year-old-Dommy zodiac villains again, this time with Sagittarius, and yeah of course he’s a centaur archer, I was 14

Unlike most of the other members of the dastardly Stellar Twelve, Sagittarius doesn’t have an alias and doesn’t hold a position of influence in the world. Instead, he acts as the group’s lead assassin, roaming the world to silently take out anyone he deems a threat. This included Adjo’s master back when he was alive, so that big ol’ mecha mummy really wants to murder this guy.

He has the ability to create a field of Silence around himself so that enemies never hear him galloping towards them, and also to create arrows of energy, though for some reason I always insisted it wasn’t the same energy that Terry, Ruby, Johnny and Virgo used, that was weird of me.

Day 13 we’re going for an oldie, it’s one of the zodiac-based villains from my old comic Magel, who was always part of the story but never got the chance to be drawn... until now! Meet Taurus! Here you can see him in his power armour that he usually inhabits and also his possibly-familiar true self...

Taurus, or Geezer as those close to him might call him, is a supergenius who has control over all of the world’s factories through his position in the Stellar Twelve. He’s a brilliant inventor who has expertly crafted things people wouldn’t hesitate to call impossible, dangerous or even insane... 

Or at least he was, but to be frank he’s gone a bit senile. He’s a very grouchy guy and very stubborn too. Unlike the rest of the Stellar Twelve, he refuses to drink from Aries’ fountain of youth, being a bit of a crackpot and having conspiracy theories about its effects. The rest of the twelve instead have to trick him into drinking it in order to keep him just about alive, since he’s too important to let die, and he hasn’t yet noticed in the few centuries they’ve been doing it.

Originally, Geezer was a character for a Smash Bros-based RP set in an MMO game, where he was the grandfather of multiple players who had been forced to play along with them. His character was Olimar-classed and he was very confused and annoyed by his Pikmin ‘stalkers’
