40 + 66 from prompt list 2 with dark? (if you do 18+ content i'd love smut, but if not then fluff is perfect too!) úwù
The Old Switcheroo | Darkiplier x Reader
Okay. This is super long—mostly because my mind ran with this weird but cool idea and I couldn't stop writing. And since I'm not comfortable with smut, I made a compromise. What is it, you may ask? You'll just have to read and see for yourself.
Prompts:
40. "This is totally your fault, by the way."
66. "Humans are such... intriguing creatures. Would you indulge me and answer a few questions of mine?"

Living with Dark had its perks. You had a quiet roommate that kept to himself and never caused any trouble; besides talking to himself in the mirror while applying a concerning amount of eyeliner, of course. He had an extensive collection of books which he allowed you to read from, which sent you through the roof with admiration for him. You never had to clean up his messes—which were few and far between—and had someone who would listen. While Dark never said much to you, he was a great listener. It took you three months to grasp the idea that he didn’t mind listening to your problems, but you took full advantage of it nowadays. According to him, you were easier to listen to than Wilford. You didn’t know Wilford, but you felt like you did because Dark did nothing but complain about him.
But living with a demonic entity also had its downsides. You were constantly barraged by annoying, ear-piercing ringing at odd hours, often had a glitching computer, and you swore you’d seen his sleeve cuffs stained with blood once. You were by no means an expert on him, but you knew enough to be wary of him and his abilities. However, you had little idea as to why he would want to share an apartment with you, “a despicable mortal,” as he put it. He never gave any solid answer, but you never pressed any question too hard. Though he had a tight lid on his emotions, Dark could snap at you, but he never hurt or threatened you. You’ve had your moments of fright, though. But over the few months you’ve known him, you’ve had your good and bad days with him. But today took the cake.
Standing in your bathroom, you glared at your reflection, trying to make sense of what you saw. It had happened so quickly that neither you or Dark had enough time to process what had occurred. All you knew was that a grey-skinned demon had switched bodies with you. So instead of [h/c] hair and [e/c] eyes staring back at you, raven hair and unfamiliar black eyes stared back at you. A freshly cleaned suit accentuated your now muscled figure and you looked very stern and commanding. Dark stood next to you, eyes narrowed as he glowered at his reflection. You swore you could see a faint blue and red outline surrounding him, but it could have been a trick of the light. Folding your arms, you huffed and sighed.
“You know…” You started, a deep voice replacing your usual tones. “This is totally your fault, by the way.”
Dark scoffed, rolling his eyes. “I hardly think this is my fault. I told you not to mess with my things many times.” He shot back, irritation clear in his voice. You rolled your eyes.
“I didn’t touch your stuff, Dark. I know to keep out of your room.” You replied, your patience wearing thin. This couldn’t happen today. You had a work interview today at eleven and Dark had his… well… other duties? You weren’t sure what the demon did during his work day. Unfortunately, it seemed like you were going to find out the hard way.
Groaning, Dark pinched the bridge of his nose. “This is inconvenient and ill-timed, to say the least. I have a meeting with the others today and I have to be present this time. Wilford’s going to be there and he’ll notice immediately that something is off with well, ‘me.’”
“You think you have it hard? I have a promising work interview and I can’t miss it!” You freaked, your heart pounding as all the ‘what if’s’ whirled through your mind. You didn’t know how to act like Dark and you certainly didn’t think the demonic entity had it in him to act like you.
Dark sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. “Well, I know someone who may be able to obtain some help, but I doubt he’ll be very cooperative. Especially with me in this… state. But he does know someone who can figure all this out. It will take some time, however.”
You exited the bathroom and plopped down on the couch. “I can’t believe this happened. I don’t even know how it’s even possible. Magic? Or am I just having one weird dream? What if—ow! What the hell, Dark?” You exclaimed as he retracted his hand. Rubbing your arm where he had pinched you, you huffed and slumped in defeat.
“Now you know you are not dreaming, [Y/n].”
“You didn’t have to pinch me that hard.”
Dark remained silent as he began to slowly pace the length of the living room. You could practically see the gears turning in his head. His emotions were easier to see in your body; most likely because he wasn’t used to the way your body worked. Leaning on your arm, you stared off into space, silently freaking out. You didn’t know what to do and Dark’s pacing wasn’t helping. The demon picked up on your heightened emotions and turned to you.
“[Y/n], I can hear your heart beating quite fast. Is everything alright?” He asked. You were surprised to hear a somewhat concerned tone in his voice. Dark never cared to express any worries he had about you—if he even cared at all.
“I… I, uh… No. Everything is not alright, Dark. We somehow switched bodies, I have an interview today, and you’ve got some… meeting with your… people? Friends? Brothers? If I’m to be honest, I’m freaking out right now. This was not how today was supposed to go.” You spoke quickly and loudly and Dark had a hard time following.
“[Y/n], please breathe. Panicking will do you no good, my dear. I have an associate who can help us.” His voice sounded so reassuring and soft that you couldn’t help but do what he said. You took deep breaths and your chest didn’t feel so tightly wound after a bit. “Very good. Now, I’m going to contact this friend of mine, but you have to promise not to speak to him. He’s very volatile and won’t hesitate to tease, trick, or manipulate you.”
You took another deep breath and nodded. “O… Okay. I can do that. Who is this friend of yours, anyway? I thought you didn’t like the idea of having friends.”
“I don’t. He hasn’t gotten that memo through his thick skull.” Dark replied. “As for who he is, all you need to know is that he’s dangerous.”
You swallowed nervously as Dark stood still for a moment. Red and blue overtook his irises and a gust of wind blew through your apartment. Your eyes widened as you watched him. Dark never used his abilities in front of you so this was a rare treat. A blinding green light flashed, forcing you to cover your eyes against the brightness. A glitching laugh echoed through the living room and you felt cold breath travel up your neck before a pair of lips hovered over your ear.
“Hey, Darky~” You jumped up and spun to face a green-haired demon with a slit throat. The entity grinned devilishly, laughing to himself. “I didn’t think I’d ever be able to scare ye, Darky. Have ya finally gone soft? Has living with [Y/n] softened ya?”
You were at a loss for words as you stared. “You of all people should know I don’t scare, Anti.” Dark said, causing the demon to do a double take and look away from you.
“Dark? What the hell is this?”
The monochrome man sighed before placing his hands behind his back. “A simple misunderstanding. [Y/n] and I have somehow switched bodies and I need you to contact Marvin for me.”
Anti was silent for a moment before laughter erupted from him. “Yer pullin’ my leg, Dark. I never took ya fer someone who enjoyed pranks, but this is gold!” He glitched over to Dark and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. The demon glared at the other, but Anti wasn’t fazed. “Oh, yer serious, aren’t ya?”
“Very.”
The green-haired demon chuckled. “Well, I guess I could call Marvin up, but he’s off collecting some ingredients for a potion right now so he might not be happy.” He yawned before stretching a little and cracking his knuckles.
“Any day now, Anti.”
“Hold yer horses, Darkipoo. I’m gettin’ to it.” He waltzed over to you and pricked your finger, drawing blood. You yelped and jumped back from Anti.
“The hell?!”
Anti grinned. “Sorry, sweetheart, but I gotta make a call.” With that, he drew a blood sigil of sorts on the wood floor, which pissed you off immensely. Blood was not easy to clean up! He muttered a few words and soon green and blue smoke filled the room.
“You better have a good reason for calling me, Anti.” A man with a cat mask appeared in a puff of multicolored smoke with his arms crossed. Anti flopped onto the couch, crossing his arms behind his head. “I’m serious. I was in the middle of a delicate process and summoning me could have messed it up.”
Anti shrugged. “Meh. Like I care.” He said. “Anyway, you know Dark, yeah? Well, Mr. King O’ Darkness has a little situation that he needs fixed. And you’re the most knowledgeable on magical happenings, so yeah. Get to it, magic man.”
Marvin rolled his eyes. “And does Jack know where you are?” The demon didn’t answer, which caused the magician to sigh and shake his head before turning to you. “So, what is the problem?”
“Uh… that’s Dark.” You said, pointing over to your body. Marvin raised an eyebrow before two and two came together.
“Ah… The classic mutatis mutandi corpora—I’ve seen it a few times, but never with demons. It should be a simple reversal, but I will need to collect some ingredients. I might have already had them if someone hadn’t interrupted me.” Marvin glared over at Anti, who offered a shrug and a smug smirk.
Dark hummed. “How long until you have what you need?” He asked. “Because I do not want to be stuck in this body for longer than necessary.”
You glared at Dark, folding your arms. “This is still your fault.”
The demon rolled his eyes. Marvin sighed. “A day, maybe two at most. You’ll be back in your own bodies soon enough, so do be patient. And you’re coming with me.” With that, Marvin grabbed Anti’s arm and with another puff of smoke, the two disappeared.
Dark tilted his head a little and a crack echoed. You cringed. “Please don’t accidentally snap my neck. I’d like a body to go back to.”
“Your body will be fine. It’s mine I’m worried about. You humans are so clumsy and you’ll definitely trip over yourself.” He stated with a bored tone. You growled.
“Just... shut up.” You grumbled before walking into the kitchen. Dark could be unbearable sometimes, but his attitude was really getting to you right now. He was just being so inconsiderate and rude to you.
Gripping the granite counter, you stared out at the window, trying to find solace in the world outside. You could see people walking on the sidewalk below, hear birds chirping, and felt the sun on your skin. The welcomed warmth calmed you and you released the breath you didn’t know you had been holding. You needed to calm down and think rationally. Anxiety and panic weren’t going to help. You were going to be fine. Marvin would fix this. He had to.
You heard Dark come into the room, his bare feet scuffing against the wood floor. “[Y/n].” He called, drawing you further from the calming fantasy you had fallen into.
“What?”
Dark sighed as he clasped his hands behind his back. “I... must apologize for my words. It was not gentlemanly of me to blame you for our predicament. I don’t even know how this could have happened. None of the magical items I own has enough power to do this.”
You frowned and glanced over your shoulder at him. “I forgive you. But I have to ask: what are we going to do? We have at least two days until a reversal is possible and we both have pressing matters today.”
“I suppose that we will just have to play our parts.” He said.
“We have no other choice, Dark. We can’t hide in our apartment and wait this out. Unfortunately.” You muttered. Standing up straight, you adjusted your suit and offered a nervous smile. “Do I look okay enough? You said you had a meeting with the others today.”
Dark stepped forward and messed with your hair a bit before pulling your sleeves up a little. “Wilford may seem daft and oblivious, but trust me, he will see through your ruse if you let it fall even the slightest bit. I recommend talking as little as possible.” He stated. “And don’t be... you. At least for the day. If we can survive today, there’s hope that no one will know what has befallen us.”
You nodded. “Yeah... Hopefully.”
Dark looked up at you. “Everything’s going to be alright, my dear.” He offered a thin-lipped smile, which wasn’t much, but it did help.
You returned it and rolled your shoulders to try and get into character. You could do this. It was like playing a part in a play. Nothing more. You gave yourself a pep talk as Dark drove you to the office building where he worked. The building was tall and very intimidating. As the car rolled to a stop, you hesitated to open the door to leave. Dark could see your hesitancy.
“You’re going to be alright, [Y/n]. It’s not as big as it looks. Besides, you’re in your own office for most of the day.” He said. “Just remember to breathe.”
Looking over at Dark, you smiled a little. “I like this side of you, Dark. It’s nice.” You then kissed his temple before climbing out of the car and making your way into the building. Dark, however, was frozen as he sat there, staring off into space. He had not expected that. Clearing his throat, he snapped out of his daze and went to your interview.
Upon walking into the building’s lobby, you could tell Dark had a reputation around here. Some of the employees quivered in your presence and you raised an eyebrow at their behavior. You knew Dark was commanding and scary sometimes, but after seeing him put on eyeliner at four in the morning and monologue to himself, you weren’t too scared of him. But you caught yourself and donned a bored and pensive expression, hoping that no one would see through your mask. Luckily, no one did.
You turned upon hearing a pair of feet run through the hall and were caught off guard when a ball of pink tackled you. The two of you went barreling to the ground and you groaned. “Darky! I almost thought you wouldn’t come. You know how much I hate when people are late!”
This had to Wilford. No one else had this much energy at ten thirty in the morning. “Ugh... Wilford. Personal space, please.” You grumbled as you pushed the man off you. Standing, you brushed yourself off and sighed. Dark wasn’t going to like the fact that you got his suit dirty.
Wilford popped up from the ground, a grin on his face. “Nevermind that! The others are waiting.” He said before dragging you towards a board room where a dozen other men—who all looked very similar to Dark—sat arguing. “Alrighty! We can start now that Darkipoo is here!”
“Please don’t call me that.” You said as you took your seat. How did Dark deal with him? He was already grinding on your nerves and you’d only known him for three minutes. Wilford rolled his eyes, unperturbed.
“Anyhoo~” He purred. “I’ve got the greatest idea. We’re gonna—”
You couldn’t handle listening to the pink-haired man after that. You tuned him out as you stared at the table, deep in thought. Dark would want to know what had happened in the meeting, but you were like eighty percent sure that he wasn’t one to take notes. With a small sigh, you allowed yourself to listen to Wilford as he babbled on about this and that. You guessed he was talking about some ‘revolutionary TV show’ or something like that. You couldn’t be bothered to pay too much attention, though, so most of the meeting was lost to you.
About three hours passed and Wilford finally ceased his ramblings. You looked up to see him staring at you expectantly. Your heart stopped as you realized he had asked you a question. The others also looked at you. Panicking, you donned a bored persona and shrugged. “Do what you will, Wilford.” You stated, hoping that would satisfy whatever query he had made towards you.
Luckily for you, he grinned. “Well, then. You heard Dark. We press forward!” Then the meeting was adjourned and everyone filed out. You quickly left, not wanting to be approached by any of the men. Hopefully Dark would be there to pick you up and the two of you could skedaddle far away from the office building. Unfortunately, Dark was not there yet. You anxiously stood outside and watched as many people spared you a glance.
“Darky!” You groaned and panicked as you heard Wilford’s voice. Pretending you didn’t hear him only led to him tackling you from behind. “Darky! I know you can hear me!” He shouted in your ear. You stumbled forward.
“Wilford. Off.” You demanded, trying to get your voice to do the echoy thing Dark’s would. It didn’t work. Apparently, you had to be a century old demon to get to that cool upgrade.
Wilford whined. But as he began to talk your ear off, Dark drove up in the car. Relieved, you quickly pulled the pink-haired man off and slid into the car. “Drive.” You ordered. As much as you wanted to slide down the seat until you couldn’t be seen, you had to keep in character.
Dark didn’t need to be told twice. He took off, leaving a pouting and confused Wilford in the dust. “I’m assuming all things went well?” He asked as he drove towards your shared apartment.
“Just barely. How do you deal with them?”
“I don’t. I usually tune their unnecessary chatter out.” A few moments of silence passed before Dark continued. “Marvin dropped by. He said that he had found all of the ingredients for the spell and that he could fix this when we get home.”
You sighed in relief. “Oh, thank heavens. I don’t think I could pretend to be a scary demon for another day.” You exclaimed. Dark raised an eyebrow, but said nothing as he continued to focus on the road.
When you arrived at your apartment, you didn’t expect to see your living room transformed into a laboratory with various pots and bottles filled with strangely colored substances. It was like someone had snatched a witch’s house and stuck it in your living room. Anti was chilling on the couch while Marvin mixed and brewed up a potion. The demon perked up at the sound of the door opening. A grin appeared on his face as he glitched over to you and swung his arm around your neck.
“Hey, sweetheart. Did ya miss me?” He purred.
Dark rolled his eyes as he pushed Anti away from you. “Don’t even, Anti. [Y/n] doesn’t need you inside their head.” The green-haired demon scoffed and walked away, grumbling about how he never got to have any fun.
“Marvin, is the potion complete?” Dark asked as you pulled off your suit jacket. It was too hot in here for it and the suit was getting very uncomfortable. How did Dark ever feel comfortable wearing them all the time? A few hours was torture!
“Yes.” The magician turned with two glass bottles in hand. “Drink these and you’ll be back to normal within the hour.” With a snap of his fingers, the rest of his supplies disappeared. He winked in your direction, causing your cheeks to heat up. “Come, Anti. Jack has been wondering where you’ve been.” He stated before the two also vanished.
Dark and you shared a glance as you took your bottle. He didn’t hesitate and downed the liquid. You frowned and took a tentative sip, but with one look from your roommate, you quickly finished it, gagging at the nasty aftertaste. Within a few minutes, you started to feel dizzy and Dark had to catch you before you collapsed. He soon followed and the two of you laid on the couch, unconscious as the magic potion did its thing. An hour passed before you woke up. Groggily, you rubbed your eyes and felt elated and relieved to see your hands instead of Dark’s. Looking around, you saw him standing in front of the window, looking out at the city with his hands clasped behind his back.
“You’re awake.”
“Yup... How long was I out?”
“Not long. About an hour or so. I woke up a few minutes before you did.”
A few moments of silence passed between you before Dark sighed and turned. There was a glint of curiosity and danger in his eyes as he looked at you. Taking a few steps towards you, he leaned down and tilted your chin up, causing you to blush. A dark light filled his eyes as he spoke, “In all my years, I've never put much thought towards mortals. But today has been educational and I have discovered something quite interesting."
"And that would be...?" You were a little nervous and wary of Dark's subtle mood change and his tone. This was quite unlike him—him telling you his thoughts and feelings that is.
"That humans are such... intriguing creatures. Would you indulge me and answer a few questions of mine?”
His voice was like silk, rolling off his tongue and sending shivers down your spine with its deep tones. There was something about the way he spoke and acted that filled you with anticipation and adrenaline. Dark’s lips curled upwards into a smirk as he leaned closer. You had no idea where this was coming from; he never acted like this around you. Or anyone that you knew of. “D... Dark? I, uh... What’s gotten into you—mmph!”
A pair of cool, soft lips met yours, catching you off guard and causing your breath to hitch. You hadn’t expected this, but you welcomed it eagerly. You felt Dark’s hands cup and caress your cheeks with such delicacy—like you were a porcelain doll about to break. His lips fit with yours and you felt your eyes flutter as you melted into him. Dark chuckled against your mouth as he pulled away. A shallow whine left your throat as you were less than pleased with an abrupt end to a dreamlike kiss.
“Dark...”
The demon grinned and brushed hair from your face. “Yes, darling?”
You caught your breath and allowed a sly smirk to decorate your lips. “C’mere...” You breathed and pulled him into a rough, passionate kiss, which surprised him. “You want to know more about humans...” You paused to pepper kisses down his jaw. “Then let me introduce you to lesson one...”
Pulling him closer to you, you leaned back into the couch as he straddled your hips. Your hand went up into his dark hair, grasping and tugging as you brought him into another kiss. He tasted so sweet—almost like honey or chocolate. You knew he was the literal devil, but you didn’t care. This was an opportunity you weren’t going to pass up. Your elusive roommate had kissed you unexpectedly after an interesting day, opening a whole side of him. He groaned as he felt you tug on his hair and the sound sent more shivers down your spine. You bit and pulled on his lip, causing him to growl and kiss you harder. His own hands went down to your hips and he pinned you against the couch.
“Careful, human...” He warned between kisses. “Your teasing will get you into trouble...”
You grinned, feeling confidence swell into you. “Like I’m afraid of the devil. Especially one who monologues in the mirror.”
Dark smirked, pulling away. The look in his eyes promised a night of love. While you were not sure if this would be a one night thing, you had a feeling there would be more of this to come in the future. “You asked for it. Perhaps I’ll take a more... hands on approach to my queries...” He growled as he laid you down on the couch and kissed you hard. His lips explored every inch of yours and his tongue forced its way into your mouth. A small whine left your throat as he stroked your sides and deepened the kiss. He felt a primal hunger fill him as he trailed his lips down to your neck.
You were in for it, and big time. Perhaps switching bodies wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

Ta-da! One hot and sexy make out! Or at least my attempt at one. Heheh. I hope it didn't read as too forced or unexpected and that you enjoyed this super long one shot nonetheless. 🙂
Marvin appears in Puppeteer's office, kneeling down beside her. "Puppeteer? Hey, can you hear me?"
She doesn't speak, curled into a trembling ball and gasping quietly for breath. She flinches away when Marvin appears, immediately starting to apologize as she tries not to convulse. "D-didn't.. didn't mean to... promise... I'm being.. being good.. pl.. please don't... don't hurt me..." It's unclear if she actually recognizes that it's Marvin or not.
Marvin appears in Collin's room, his hair tied up in a messy ponytail. He seems to have had enough time to change into jeans and a tee shirt before being sent here.
The vampire is just shuffling into the room, a mug of what's probably tea in his hands. He's in a hoodie and sweatpants, and his hair is ruffled like he just got up- which, in fact, he did. Collin pauses when he sees Marvin, squinting blearily at him. "..wasn't expectin ya this early, kitten." He blinks, tilting his head slightly. "...did ya change your hair?"
Okay so as I mentioned in an earlier post, I've been watching back on the videos with Anti significantly in them, so I was rewatching KJSE and as I was I realised that with all the new information from Schneep and Chase that some of the things Anti says make a little bit more sense.
Example, in the picture above he says "Nothing gets rid of me" at first I would have written it off as, yes he has a big ego, but what if he isn't saying it to sound intimidating, what if he's saying it because Schneep has gone back so many time that Anti knows that nothing can get rid of him. That no matter what Schneep does to protect Chase or Jack, Anti will always be there, he will always take them. Which is why they are constantly going around in a circle.
"How many times must we go through this" - obviously talking about the time travel, and how many times Schneep has gone back to try and stop Anti, all of them failing because Anti still comes out on top.
They're all making reference to how many times Schneep has taken them back, that Anti is stuck inside a loop because Schneep desperately wants to save his friends but Anti keeps on taking them.
I would also very much like to point out that throughout the Ego series, Anti's cut has always been changing.
Here when Anti first talked to us directly, we have just seen him kill Jack, and as you can see from his neck, it is a big cut, there is a lot of blood and honestly it looks pretty bad. I'm not sure if there is an order to these but I'm going to go off as this is the first time Anti kills Jack, which is why he talks to us so directly, his plan is working, it has finally been set into motion.
However later on at the pax video, we can see that the cut has changed, that instead of it being all one deep cut with lots of blood, this instead is two deep cuts, although there isn't as much blood as the first time, there still quite a bit. But obviously you can see that once again Schneep has gone back and Anti has had to kill Jack again. In the same way just with minor differences, maybe Jack fought back and that is why there are two? Or maybe he just decided to do it a little more differently.
And then there is the third time, a long, thin, line with only a small amount of blood (compared to the others) coming from the cut. This is when Anti is getting sick of killing Jack and getting control of Chase, which is why he goes after Schneep. He's sick of the loop which makes him kill Jack over and over again.
(Of course you could just say that Jack couldn't get it exactly the same for each video but I quite like this theory a lot because it can fit into the whole going back in time over and over again).
However before I finish this theory, I would like to go back to Chase and his whole side of the "Anti takes control of him" because I mean, does he ever.
We can see Anti here in what I'm presuming is him preparing to take control of Chase once again.
Look how calm he is, more like Dark, like he is no longer having fun or trying to intimidate because he is sick of going round and round. We can say that this is roughly around the same time that Schneep is trying to once again go back in time, so this is before the KJSE video. So looking back at the KJSE video, Anti mentions about how Schneep thought we could save him.
This could be referring to Chase or to Jack since as I mentioned before there is evidence to say that Anti has killed Jack multiples times because of Schneep and his time travel.
Anti says that Jack/Chase was his, because he had killed them, he had taken control of both of them and Schneep ripped that away. He has had to constantly go through the same things over and over, taking control of Jack and Chase again and again.
Anti also call him weak, which makes me think that he is talking more about Chase than Jack since we See Chase break down and start drinking because his family left him. Looking back at the earlier picture too when we saw Anti sitting behind Chase in the car could also be what he is referring to.
This could mean a lot of things, but could you imagine if the reason Anti is saying this is because he is stuck in the loop he will have to take Jack and Chase again, which is why he says "Next time" because he knows that there is going to be next time and that we will see it.
Or perhaps since in KJSE he takes control of Schneep, maybe he's mocking us, now that Schneep can no longer send them back before Anti got to them, he is talking about how now he has full reign on the other egos. "Your favourite boy" could be any of them, but now Anti doesn't have to just focus on Jack and Chase, now he has the others to take control of.
