I’ve suddenly gone on an ethical products shopping trip as well, thanks to a combination of a “magic skirt” and glahnish saying she found one made of recycled saris!
So here are the websites, in order, that I’ve been using for ethical “magic skirts,” flip flops, fancy t-strap sandals, and kimono-style dressing gowns (aka robes. And thank you, Miss Fisher’s, for putting this in my brain):
If you search for lists of ethical products/brands, the UK and Australia are ON. POINT. Or fleek. Whatever phrase you prefer. Many of the things they list you can buy online and get sent to the US.
Problem: ethical stuff is EXPENSIVE. I haven’t had success finding sites that actually offer reasonably-priced things, including tee shirts! Come on, guys. At least make multi-packs actually less expressive than buying 3 separate shirts. *sigh*
BUT, a lot of the clothing sites are GORGEOUS. So if you “don’t want to look like a hippy,” you can find classy gorgeous stuff. But in that case you will need to have the money to spend on them. *more sigh*
