I donut know
what is that animal book called? It sounds amazing and long!!
WHOA hey magicpawed!! I haven’t talked to you in ages!! :0
ummm I can’t take a picture right now, so here’s a link to the book!! It’s called The Encyclopedia of Animals: A Complete Visual Guide. :D
personal project
I need to start some projects at home (i'm starting to die of boredom and lose my art skills) so I was wondering- has anyone ever done a personal project? They can be anything I just need some inspiration! Does anyone have any ideas for some?
May I ask what chronic illness you are facing? If its too personal to say, that's fine! I was just wondering
Don't worry, I don't mind openly talking about it!
I wasn't on health insurance when I started getting sick so it was really hard to go 2+ years of just getting sicker and sicker and no idea what's going on. We finally managed to crap together the most pathetic budget health insurance ever and afford to go to a specialist for a 6 months.
They took some blood, ran some scans, and found out I had rheumatoid arthritis. It just had gotten so severe without treatment and winter cold that my joints were 3 times the size due to swelling and lead to my hands being crippled for 8 months.
There are also a lot more underlying issues that are not explained by my RA alone. But my health insurance at the time ran out and I couldn't get it renewed (UNTIL NOOOOOW~ cough well next month!!!) so I got the most basic medication to sustain me. Not treat me. I've been living in pretty extreme pain for about 5 years now. I was bullied by numerous doctors because of my age and confusion as to what was happening to my body, being told to, "Better get use to the pain." "You know this will never stop right?" "You won't be walking by age 30." "Suck it up." None of that is acceptable ever - just because someone doesn't have health insurance doesn't mean they deserve to be treated like a dog.
Well now that I have a shiny super gold plan of insurance thanks to the Affordable Care Act, next month I'm going to march into those clinics and demand treatment and REAL tests to find out if they really thought I had fibromyalgia too or what else is causing the muscle pains and various chronic pain.
I just understand better after years of pain, talking with fellow spoonies, and bit of research that this treatment is not acceptable and I will be a lot more aggressive with any doctor who dare tells me otherwise or gives me sass about "affording it". This is the first time I've ever had real insurance that might actually do something for me and I plan to twist it dry getting all the help I need.
Are you guys looking for more help (more admin, administrators, designers, etc) ? I love this idea and I would be open to submit time/art/concepts for the final design.
ABSOLUTELY! This is why we've opened up the forums! Currently we are looking for any and all input on any facet of the site. In time, we'll have to look at adding more staff, and they will definitely be coming from the forums. So if you haven't already, please sign up over at

Thanks so much!
what is the ugliest animal in your opinion?
probably the Red Uakari Monkey- I mean, apes/monkeys in general make me really nervous but these guys also happen to look like small nightmares ;o;
