Recently acquired a Magistroni crankset intended for a Campagnolo Cambio Corsa dropout equipped Atala frame. Stamped 1951 on the bottom bracket cup it has a bottom bracket axle that has tapered ends with key ways. The axles also have custom bolts designed for use with a special tool. I’ve not seen a Magistroni crank that is non-cottered before and this example suggests Magistroni were experimenting with alternatives to compete with Stronglight and Campagnolo. The cranks are nickel-plated steel and seem otherwise similar to Magistroni cranks of the period. Some images below.
