hi, folks! let's have a geology lesson!

magma is the molten material that forms igneous rock, made beneath the earth. in the simplest possible explanation, magma is LIQUID ROCK, i.e. rock that has hit its boiling point and became slushy. magma will turn into lava, once it hits above-ground. the temperatures involved with the process of creating magma are at about, oh, a cool 1500 degrees Celsius, or 2700 degrees Fahrenheit in freedom units.
