How does Evolution method work in wild Pokemon that Evolve by only trading?
Do you want me to explain it in one sentence or go down a list? Bcuz for it to make sense, I have to go down a list. Imma try though.
For trade evolution to work, you have to use the trading machine, which exposes a pokemon to a type of energy that allows them to evolve. It can be difficult to find this type of energy in the wild, but it can happen. But yeah, I'm bored and Joker the Orbeetle has been showing me bug documentations for 4 hours straight. Might as well go down the list.
Poliwhirl to Polietoed = Poliwhirl finding and holding onto a King's Rock while being the leader of a group of pokemon. Researchers believe it has something to due with hormonal changes for alpha (as in, pokemon that lead a group, NOT alpha pokemon from Hisui) pokemon go through. It could also be aura related, as, with the help of Lucario, we have found that the aura of these lead Poliwhirl change.
Kadabra to Alakazam = Repeated use of physic infinity energy. It can takes YEARA for them to evolve this way.
Machoke to Machamp = Repeated use of fighting type infinity energy. It can take YEARS for them to evolve this way
Graveler to Golem = Usually living in a very rocky area where having the added strength would be good. You know how an Eevee might be able to evolve into a Leafeon without the use of a leaf stone? It's like that, but the Graveler would have to be in a very rocky area or very deep underground to evolve into Golem.
Slowpoke to Slowking = Same way a Poliwhirl evolves into Polietoed
Haunter to Gengar = Going to a place with a whole lot of ghostly infinity energy and using their moves there (often times evolve in battle because of this)
Onix to Steelix = Similar way to how Graveler evolves into Golem, but it's somewhere with a lot of natural iron that they eat a lot of
Rhyhorn to Rhyperior = Being around a bunch of infinity energy while holding a protector or something similar to it
Seadra to Kingdra = Holding onto a dragon scale while being around a bunch of infinity energy
Scyther to Scizor = Finding metal and using it on their exoskeleton. Sometimes it evolves dismantling man-made structures, and sometimes, it involves skinning a steelix
Electabuzz to Electivire = Getting struck by lightning. Pikachu will do the same thing to evolve into Raichu, but, it often safer for Elecatabuzz because they're electricity is stronger (still wouldn't recommend it though)
Magmar to Magmorter = If they live in a volcanic area for long enough (like, years at a time), they'll eventually evolve into Magmorter
Porygon to Porygon2 = Being around a bunch of artificial, man-made infinity energy for long periods of time. Sometimes, you can hack them into evolving
Porygon2 to Porygon-Z = Same way Porygon evolves into Porygon2
Feebas to Milotic = Holding a prism scale while being around a bunch of infinity energy
Dusclops to Dusknoir = Being around a bunch of ghostly infinity energy for a while
Clampearl to Huntail = Holding a deep-sea tooth (or any sharp tooth honestly) while being around a bunch of infinity energy while in the water
Clampearl to Gorebyss = Same way as Huntail, but now it's with a Deep Sea Scale
Boldore to Gigalith = Same way Graveler evolves into Golem
Gurdurr to Conkeldurr = Usually evolves from age and being strong. Can take years for them to evolve naturally.
Karrablast to Escalvalier = Karrablast takes the shell of Shellmet. Pretty simple. Trade machines just let them meet in close proximity and allow Karrablast to steal the shell. The added shell allows them to evolve
Shelmet to Accelegor = Read the prior text. Shelmet become incredibly weak without their shell and, to combat this, they end up evolving to combat this.
Spritzee to Aromatisse = Something about the overwhelming scents causing Spritzee to evolve, though, it's very rare for it to do on its own, as there has to be a large amount of infinity energy where it is. The best way you can hope it evolves is if it's carrying one when it's battling or in a sacred place with a lot of infinity energy (like Area 0 or Ballonlea if you don't want to get arrested)
Swirlix to Slurpuff = Being around a bunch of infinity energy while eating sweet foods. It's difficult to find infinity energy in more urban areas, which is why people often choose the trade method
Pumpkaboo to Gourgeist = Same way Phantump evolves into Trevenant
Phantump to Trevenant = Same way leafeon can evolve without a leaf stone. Phantump who live and grow up deep in the forest for a long time evolve into Trevenant
I saw on your pinned post that you talk about hybrid pokemon... my Magmar (named Stew) came from a friend whose Magmortar bred with a Medicham in the daycare. She's got Thunderpunch to show for it, plus some spots on her knees and protrusions on her head that are similar to a Medicham's. Is there anything I should maybe watch out for when it comes to her Medicham side? Might it affect her diet or behavior? Thanks!
@noseypebblesxx
That's a pretty neat mon you have there! I've never met someone with a hybrid of those Pokemon!
If we're talking about its Medicham side, your Magmorter most likely won't attack unless provoked, so you don't have to worry about her being really aggressive. It actually might even help her because her heightened sense of concentration can help her focus on her attacks more! She also might be a lot more calm and peaceful.
There isn't really any danger I'd look out for that don't already come from Magmorter (dangerous flames, big and firey, etc). But Medicham are really light eaters, with some only wating one berry a day! The light eaters part might show, but please do not feed your Magmorter only one berry a day. They're still a Magmorter and need to eat a regular amount.

When shooting 3,600 degree Fahrenheit fireballs from its arms, its body takes on a whitish hue from the intense heat. They dwell in volcanic craters. It’s said that only a single pair of Magmortar will inhabit any given volcano.
