“I’m not either!” Nico snapped, even though he knew it seconds after saying it that it wasn’t helpful, just like his hands spider-ing frantically through the air wasn’t terribly helpful either. He was a son of Hades, Lord of the Underworld, keeping someone alive was almost the exact opposite thing of what he was good at, and this frantic thought somehow made him look even paler.

“Didn’t you go to some of the healing lessons? I thought you were a year-rounder?” He protested--but no, that wasn’t right, she just lived in the city--and he shook his head, dismissing the frustrated thought as he leaned over the prone child of Aphrodite before looking up at Drew. ​He doesn’t feel good about this to be honest. Of course, what is there to feel good about? He has to take off with Bucky and everyone else in an effort to avoid being detained again. Bucky would probably never be let out if they got their hands on him. There’s a part of him that wants to insist that Sharon come with them. But, he also knows that he has about zero right to insist on anything at the moment. The shield and the wings were a big risk she didn’t have to take. “Are you sure you’ll be alright?”

                   So, they’re holed up in Sharon’s old safe house in Madripoor because they’re waiting for the bad guy to pop his ugly head up so they can snatch him and return to the States. And there’s no way in hell they’re staying in some shady hotel when they can have something like this instead (with an open bar and all). Turns out they need to wait a little longer, though; at least Mister Goon hasn’t made an appearance in three days. Bucky wishes their next overseas mission takes them to Hawaii or something because he is in dire need of sun and cocktails and a little less criminal megacity. He takes a sip of his whiskey and raises his brow at Sharon, who thinks she’s really funny tonight, apparently. “I don’t know, I usually don’t wish people who call me pet psychopath a good night.”

Fez walks away from the fight, his hands shaking with adrenaline and covered in blood. The image of Nate’s face collapsed, bruised, will live in his head forever. He takes a few deep heaving breaths as he runs towards his car, heart beating out of his chest. He’s never felt this jacked on weed, never. He looks up to see Lexi and immediately, his eyes drop. Still, he walks up to her, eyes darting to the others around. “Lexi, look I didn’t--shit, you see all that?” He asks numbly.

Part of her wonders what someone like TIFFANY SONG even wants with someone like her. After all, she’s a dangerous woman all on her own. Even if Sookhee was someone made of forged steel and murderous intent, honed to become a weapon before she ever known comfort for the things that she’d lost, but... despite that, she knew that what Tiffany was capable of, was far more deep, and terrible, than the things that she could imagine and do to others. Perhaps it was her restraint in it all that proved her a proper monster, in a way, but their friendship strikes as an unlikely one to them both, something that, frankly, she ought to be more thankful of... and she is. Isn’t she? Someone who understands monstrous things, drinks shared, troubles offered up. But tonight...?

A sigh rolls off the tip of her tongue, Sookhee’s fingers combing through her hair. Of course she’s coming to her now with this, a nightmare at her doorstep, frames as AN OPPORTUNITY. It’s kind of funny, isn’t it, that they find themselves like this, reaching out to take her hand for a moment within her own. “Listen. I love you like a sister. But you’re an absolute fucking mess and you’re calling this an opportunity but honestly you’re more about to unload an absolute fuck ton of a mess upon us both. But right now? Let’s talk through how we’re going to help resolve this alright?”
