maaagggss i've been thinking of self ships a lot lately and with how chilly and cloudy it's been where i live lately

how do you and Bruce spend cold autumn days?

darling lizzie hello 💛💛💛 i’ve also been getting lots of gray and chilly weather, and i’ve been absolutely living for it

i’m a fall times girl, so i’m trying to get bruce to do all the autumnal things, which usually results in him grunting in acknowledgement. and annoying him is like 75% of the fun, so i’ll hover around as he works and look over his shoulder while he’s on like hour three of looking at zoning records in gotham or whatever, and i go “wow, this is really so interesting. now imagine there are vampires and bela lugosi is also there, and it’d basically be dracula (1931), which we should watch right now.” and so we do, and then he’s like “okay that was fun 😐 i have to go do research on body decomposition now,” and i twirl my hair and bat my eyes and make apple cider and follow him down while he tells me all about it. and that’s the average cold autumn day.

on the days we actually get out of the house, we do a little autumnal walk where we’re both all cozy in our jackets and whatnot—lots of hand holding—and we grab dinner or something and then i’m like “obviously, we need to decorate your creepy manor for halloween,” so we go to the halloween store and i vanish as i wander the store, and people are like “oh my god, it’s bruce wayne!” and then i appear next to him and i’m like “look at this fucked up creature i found,” and i show him some halloween decoration i’m going to make him buy because it’s weird. and then i proceed to hide the weird creature around the cave for him to find for my own amusement.

and then he’s out doing Bruce Wayne™️ stuff without me sometime, and he comes home and he leaves apple cider donuts somewhere for me to find so he doesn’t have to say out loud he got something because he was thinking of me.

what is bruce’s most tried and tested method of comforting you? how did he figure it out?

how does bruce handle getting you flowers? is it based on your favourites? a secret message through the language of flowers? do they always have to be hand delivered by him or will flowers show up for you out of the blue from a delivery service?

does jason learn to make your comfort food or does he have your favourite bakeries/stores/relative on speed dial?

is jason more proactive in comforting you or does he wait for you to come to him?

bruce’s go-to method is a good, long hug and some quiet time. he made the connection between me feeling down and seeking out some sort of physical comfort. the silence part just comes naturally to him. i’ll go sit quietly with him in the cave while he works, and when i start to bug him again, he knows i’m feeling better.

omg i actually LOVE the idea of bruce being into flower languages. i think he’d appreciate having a subtle way of communicating his feelings. but i think for a bad day, bruce would stick with roses for something classic (they’re not my favorite, but i like having them around because they make me feel fancy 🌹). because of his schedule, bruce definitely does get flowers delivered occasionally—especially if he wants them to be a surprise—but he prefers to deliver them himself

i think there’s a progression from jason knowing my favorite things from favorite restaurants to him trying out making it himself. after my 500th time of being like i want a breakfast burrito :-( he knows how to make it how i like and does it himself (this stems from the belief that has solidified in this moment that jason can make a mean breakfast burrito). but i also think jason is the kinda guy who will also just bring things home if he knows i’m feeling down. like he’s already out, so he’s going to swing by the store to get me a little drink, or it’s super early so the bakery isn’t busy yet and he gets a couple of pastries or whatever. sweet little things like that he always tries to downplay.

jason is the kinda guy who will acknowledge he knows something is up with a little forehead kiss or something, and then he’ll probably leave me to come to him when i’m ready to talk about whatever is on my mind

it’s definitely the vibe. there is a zero percent chance bruce is not getting on my nerves even in my wildest dreams; i don’t like being told what to do, and i have big issues with authority.

so inevitably, bruce pisses me off, and in return, i do something annoying or contrary to what he wants to happen, and it’s back and forth forever. but we’re both kind of into it because it’s one of those things where we’re driving each other up the wall because we know the exact way to do it so effectively.

we’re flirting by slowly driving each other to madness 🥰

moonlight what does a perfect friday night look like for the two of you?

the perfect friday night for us would be going out to a museum before a good dinner, and then ending the night with an old movie. nights are usually busy for him, so we try to make try to make the most of it.

mango do you and your lover like to dance?

bruce probably has taken dancing lessons at some point in his life, yet he doesn't really dance. despite being really bad at dancing, i'm a kitchen dancer, and he usually gets roped into it (he likes it)

bruce is classic; he calls me darling. i call him my love.

polaroid what’s your favorite picture of them? what’s their favorite picture of you?

my favorite picture of bruce would probably be one where he's sleeping, getting one of those rare moments where his guard is actually down and he's relaxed. the covers are pulled up to his chin; his cheek is smushed against the pillow.

bruce's favorite picture of me is one where I'm laughing. he can't remember what it was, but i'm laughing at something he said. there's nothing very memorable about what's happening around me. I'm curled up on the couch, eyes shut, head tossed back, still in my pajamas. it could be any day, and that's what he likes. he likes knowing at any given day, there could be joy in wayne manor.

biscuit do you and your lover have any pets?

bruce and i for sure have a rescue dog because neither of us can resist anything down on its luck. bruce went in saying the dog can't sleep in the bed with us and he can't go on the couch, and i went in fully prepared to break all of the rules. bruce grumbles, but he actually loves when the dog jumps in bed just to curl up by his feet.

jason started with 'sweetheart' in a condescending way in the beginning, and one day he started catching using it genuinely

i call him honey. he teases me for it

ribbon what kind of gifts do they buy you? what gifts do you buy them?

jason likes to bring home little things for me. snacks or a coffee. more surprise gifts for no reason than big gifts on big occasions.

i make him homemade stuff. i'll make knit him a sweater, or i'll crochet him a blanket. i'll surprise him with a batch of cookies. but i'll also be out and about and come home with three books for him because i couldn't help myself when i passed a bookstore.

I think just from the nature of the batman of it all, bruce would take a while adjusting to someone who really isn't part of that life. i looooooove doing nothing. i love having a super chill day, and that's something he is very much not in the business of doing.

i think we make it work in more of a 'doing different things in the same space' sort of way. i'll read in the cave while he stands in place for two hours thinking through a case. i'll get up when he gets off patrol so we can do a breakfast date since things usually come up for dinner dates.

i think in that same vein, bruce would maybe give himself a little bit more of a break (one can wish). like, if i'm going to take a nap, i'm bringing him with me because i know he's already exhausted. i would like to believe that after some adjusting, he'd be ever so slightly more willing to let himself rest.

(that and he's going to have to get used to finding my hair absolutely everywhere)

I would definitely let jason give me a ride on his bike at least once. I would be a big scaredy cat about it, but an excuse to hold onto him is an excuse to hold onto him 🤷‍♀️

i don't know if i could commit to a full road trip, not exclusively because i'd be afraid but because i feel like i'd get bored. we wouldn't be able to talk really, and i wouldn't be able to dick around on my phone on a motorcycle.
