Have you ever been around lake Balaton in Hungary? ⛵ It is our biggest lake in the country and you can find wine regions on the north part as well as in the south. 🏞 The Buzzásy Winery located on the south like our previous winery but they are a much smaller family owned winery with 14 hectares.🍇 They started to produce wines in the beginning of the '90s and in 2002 there was a bigger development to combine the traditional and modern viti- and viniculture.🍷 They have more white grape 🍇varieties planted like Muscat, Kiralyleanyka, Chardonnay, Olaszrizling and so on but I have tasted their wines made of red grapes. What is special about their Merlot and Cabernet Franc is that they have never seen any new oak. They have been fermented and matured in stantless steel tanks and mature in large used oak barrels. It gives the wine more fruity character 🍒🍓and a lighter body with smooth texture. If you visit this winery while you are near the lake, don't forget to book first for the better experience!
