Lord of Battles – Chainmail Standard – Bishop’s Mantle – Dome Riveted Construction – Darkened Stainless Steel Flat Rings

Known as a Standard or Bishops Mantle, this chainmail gorget-like piece of armor is a good addition to a chainmail haubergeon or hauberk to provide protection for the neck in the absence of a chainmail coif. The Mantle is made from flat, stainless steel links. The top links of the chainmail are stitched onto a leather band. The diameter of the Bishops Mantle is adjusted with a pair of brass buckles and leather straps.

Chainmail Dicebags now available for commission

Hey everybody! Got cool dice, but nowhere to put them? How about in an equally cool bag?

My bags are made from stainless steel butted rings from The Ringlord. Stainless steel means that they won't rust, tarnish or stain your skin. Butted rings means that the rings are closed in such a way that the ends are fitted right against each other, but not welded or riveted. Below is a closeup of a closed ring for example purposes.

Because butted mail is not a seamless closure, my bags are not recommended for especially fragile or easily scratched dice.

Each bag holds three full sets of seven dice (21 dice or so total), and has a real leather tie and a metal bead for the closure. I currently have three colors of leather to choose from: Gray, purple, and green. I do not use vegan or imitation leather because it's just plastic.

Bags start at $40 USD, with shipping costs varying by order. Please note that i do not have a stock of these made (pictured are gifts for friends), and all bags will be made to order. Please allow for a few weeks make and ship time. Every ring you see is closed individually by hand with pliers. I am totally open to making larger bags and other small mail items as well.
