one of my pen pal letters was sent back to me for not enough postage and it kind of looked like it was opened so i opened it and my letter and all the stuff i sent was still in it but there was also the last few notes of a post-it note brick and a magic the gather card taped to an animal crossing card tucked into a piece of notebook paper with “Thanks! -Courtney” written on it

in other mail-related news:

my neighbours who are building a house behind me were briefly sharing a letterbox with me while waiting to put theirs up. now we have two beautiful, separate, matching, well-labelled letterboxes, and my letterbox is still FULL of my neighbours’ mail

the courier keeps leaving my packages at the stables, not the house (an easy distinction to make, because horses live in the stables, and they don’t receive mail)

this is a very stressful time for me

Okay now that my B&N book order got here, let's talk about how my order from Boon Outlet started in the state northwest of me, stopped in the state to the west of me, came to my state but southeast of where I live (bypassing me entirely?) and is now BACK in the state west of me, but like just over the border.

Wtf is going on with my packages???

You can’t just leave it with the rest of the mail? You’ve dropped off much more valuable things on the doorstep.

Listen to this one. I ordered a pair of earrings back in early December. I get an email today saying they’re at the post office and I have to pick them up before tomorrow or they will be sent back. Fine, whatever, the post office is only a 15 minute walk.

So I go there and I give them the tracking number and the lady working there was like “yeah it’s not here.” And I was like ???? Turns out they’re in a completely different city 200 KILOMETRES AWAY. How can the post office fuck up that badly?! I asked if there was a way to get them here and the lady said she doesn’t know. Donnie I’m waiting for an email back from the company to either A have them resend my order or B give me my money back.

Canada Post Office worker: No. You can’t have it. It’s here, but we’re not getting it for you yet.

Me: But I got a ready for pick up noticification can went out of my way to pick it up.

CPO:No. The delivery estimate isn’t for another 3 days at least anyway. You can wait.

Me:???

Other post office worker: But we have it, it came in before open-

CPO: No.

Gone through my spreadsheets and parcel photos:

21 parcels to USA and Canada from mid-may to now, 7 LOST, 4 never got feedback. That ratio is bonkers. 23 FR EU and Aus parcels went through just fine.

I switched to poly mailers and reinforced envelopped after dollsahoy’s package got damaged. I really don’t understand where or why they’re getting lost.

Anyone else having mail issues?
