Not every member of the Queensguard who goes missing is found. Those lucky enough to be found, sometimes, aren’t found alive, and those found alive are often found out of luck. Some, however, like Merry are found in small search parties. A dear friend of Corona’s, Merry was a scout of the Queensguard before she was captured by the Steel Insurgents and given to the Sanguine Leeches soon after. Her tongue cut out and lips sewn shut by Mailmith the Dragon; enthralled to Sabrione Astier and kept as a pet, if it wasn’t for one fateful day she might never have been found by Corona and Morel. And because of what she endured, Corona took her in, housed her, fed her, and did everything in her power to keep her friend protected there forth. Despite her protection and self isolation, Merry is still haunted by and terrified of the rebels who tortured her. She often sits alone in her room, keeping the windows and door under lock and key that only she and Corona share.
