Beings of old seemed not of sorts, the bits of earth that still filled the males lungs from the darkened cripes that confined him so, burned with ever breath and forced a brutal cough from chapped lips. Such pounding on his own chest to get some grasp of the general surroundings.

Glancing around with sharp and narrow eyes, one thing was sure. The sun bore down harshly, the wind nipping his exposed skin with painful blasts of golden sand. The man cracked his knuckles and squinted at the blinding light. He did not necessarily know where he was, or what was going to become of him, he could not turn back to where he once was, the entrance of his resting place crumbling behind him.

But he noticed something, something he didn't before. If one recalled correctly it wasn't there before- or was it? Confused and dazed,  one spun searching frantically- that noise, that constant buzzing noise was not the wind or natural cause.

Oh no it was controlled.

There seems to be a lot more information that’s not being shared with the masses, however…  

✫Blinking in the Starlight✫ with @lettersfromthepit , wherein Sans and Kailee, after 2 years total of being together, have discovered that Kailee has somehow become pregnant. As procreation was previously thought impossible between humans and humans, no one is sure quite what will happen, how Kailee’s health will be affected, or what sort of child will be born (or if they make it to full development at all).

Section 14 with @trashpanda-rp , following the adventures of Sans as a child when he finds a mysterious book in an off-limit section of Undergrounds library. When he reads a golden font but foreign tongue passage, a demon-child appears and becomes locked to him until the day that he may steal his soul…but in the meantime, snacks?

Ohana Means Family @hope-and-dreams , an AU scenario in which Sans is left in the sudden position of being a single father to his adoptive brothers two infant children, following both his and his mate's untimely death. Having already lost Papyrus long ago and distanced himself from his friends, he’s left more or less to handle the challenge alone in the strange human-dominated Surface. 

The Skeleton, The Witch, and The Blind Date @plsdontkinkshameme : Sans and Lorona and matched for a blind date as part of Sans deal in buying a book. While he didn’t know his intended date was to be Lorona, it turned out not to be the worst surprise there ever was. The date turned into a non-date very quickly, but the two still spend a rather pleasant time together.

Best Burgs in Town with @plsdontkinkshameme , Lorona is taken to Grillby’s, Sans favorite restaurant, for the first time. Much drinking, musing, burger comparing and general shenanigans ensue. 

Girls Night Out (Plus Sans) @butterscotch-cinnamom-pie , After Toriel expresses that she wishes to meet new people (ones who don’t view her as “the former Queen”), Alphys and Undyne insist on taking her out for some human mingling. Sans is dragged along in Alphys attempt to rekindle their long lost friendship, but the night doesn’t go exactly as planned. 

One Last Job @wdvoided : Sometime after Gaster is successfully brought back from The Void, a negotiation between Monsters and Humans causes the two previous scientists, once thought to be Undergrounds “A-team”, to work together like old times. The broken past between Sans and Gaster has yet to be water under the bridge, however, and as they travel by train to their weekend destination of work, they begin to question if working together even for a short time is such a good idea.

The Vast Affinity Case @plsdontkinkshameme : An AU where monsters were never cast Underground and Sans has become a high-ranking mob member of The Bad Time Crew. There’s a local Temple which claims to be a holy place, but most everyone knows it’s just a brothel in disguise—save for those like Lorona, who have served for their Temple under The Matrons guidance since they were very young and have fallen deep under its manipulation. The Matron has been accused of betraying The Bad Time Crew and potentially causing a rise of monsters to disappear, but she can not be found. Due to this, Sans becomes a patron of Lorona’s and toys with her emotions in order to gain the secured information he needs. It’s a game of cat and mouse, and, well, Sans has always been told he has a Cheshire Grin.

Along the way she meets Qrow, an odd but admittedly cute man who she believes must be into some form of cosplay, judging from the medieval sword strapped across his back. The two end up having a one-night-stand that should have ended at that—but, it seems, luck was not on their side.

She becomes close to her new friend Joel in the process and, after the two become romantically involved, discovers she’s become pregnant. Not even 17 yet, the pair of them have to face a very tough decision—or else grow up very, very fast.

The people are different, the food is different, and she finds herself at a job that on the surface seems perfectly normal. Just like her boss. Perfectly normal. Not at all the type of man psychotic enough to potentially kidnap a girl and hold her hostage for no other reason than how her blond hair reminds him of an old deceased lover. Not at all.

Little Talks || Closed Starter

@aneckperson “Sheriff Forbes needs my help for a few minutes. Stay here, okay? I’ll be right back.” Her dad was gone in the blink of an eye, the door to his office banging shut with an audible thud behind him before he took off at a quick pace down the side walk. Elena watched him go, watched his lab coat fluttering behind him. It wasn’t the first time that had happened, and lately her dad always seemed upset about something. Especially when he talked to Caroline’s mom or Tyler’s dad. The three of them had tried to figure out what was going on - Caroline called it the Mystery of the Grumpy Parents - but so far they’d gotten nowhere. Just a bunch of smiles and a quick ‘it’s nothing to worry about honey, go play’. She’d been trying to ask her dad again when Caroline’s mom came rushing in the office, saying she needed her dad to come down to the station right away and bring ‘the bag’. Elena had assumed that meant his black bag he always carried to work, but instead he pulled out a different one from under his desk and ran out the door. But now with her dad gone and the office completely quiet, she wondered if she’d ever know what was going on. Well...not totally quiet. A loud, metallic sounding bang echoed from downstairs, making her jump. She looked around, confused. What would be making noise down there? Her dad was the only one allowed down there and he was gone. It couldn’t have been one of the nurses, they hadn’t even come in today. So what would have made noise? Curious, Elena slowly slid off the office chair, fingers twisting nervously around the woven friendship bracelet she and Bonnie and Caroline had made for each other. She knew she’d get in trouble if her dad caught her going downstairs, but wouldn’t he want to know if someone else was in his office? Deciding that he would, the young brunette slowly made her way to the basement door, twisting the knob so carefully that it opened silently. She walked down the stairs just as timidly, her gaze darting all over the room. She didn’t like this room. It was cold and it smelled funny, and once when her ball fell down the steps she came down to find it and heard a bunch of loud banging noises. She paused at the bottom of the staircase, remembering her last trip down here. There was a door on the other side of the room where her dad had come out of that day. He’d told her to go back upstairs...but he never answered her question about what made the noise. Was it the same thing now?  Swallowing hard, she took the handful of steps it took to get across the room. That big metal door where her dad had come from was cracked open...and she could faintly hear something that sounded like footsteps coming from the other side.  She paused again, her dark eyes darting to the stairs. She almost turned and ran back to her dad’s office, but in the end, curiosity won out. She bit down on her lip, pushing the door open enough so she could fit through...her eyes growing wide when she saw what was on the other side.  There was a huge cage. It looked like the ones Caroline’s mom showed them at the police station. She said it was where bad people had to stay so they couldn’t hurt anyone else. But it wasn’t the cage that held her attention.  it was the man inside it.  She’d never seen him before. He had dark hair, and dirty clothes, and it looked like blood was dried in places on his skin. He looked scary. Was that why he was here? Was he like the bad people Caroline’s mom was talking about? “Who are you?” she finally asked, pushing her dark hair behind her ear as she took a step backwards, towards the door. Maybe she should go back now...

Innocent || Closed RP

@ourbrokencrowns​ Whatever she’d pictured when she’d been accepted to law school, it wasn’t this.  The late nights, the stress, the constant nagging fear that she wouldn’t make it through the next couple of years with her sanity intact, sure. Only a fool would expect differently. Getting in itself had been an uphill battle; anyone with a competitive GPA and decent references could have easily gotten in over her. After all she’d gone through just to have a place at Middleton, it hadn’t taken much to realize she’d walked into a battleground. But this? This she never saw coming. Then again, it wasn’t law school that had her awake at 2:30 in the morning pouring over phone records in a desperate attempt to prove the guilty innocent.  It was Annaliese Keating.  Or rather, the job Elena had accepted from her. It was note worthy that the job wasn’t all bad. The kind of experience she was getting was invaluable, and she knew otherwise she never would have had the chance as a first year student. And considering that only four of the hundred plus students in Criminal Law 100 were offered said opportunity, her thoughts were the only place she let herself complain.  Still. She was working forty plus hour weeks trying to help pull off the kind of wins in court that most attorneys only dreamed of. In the three and a half weeks she’d been working for professor Keating, she’d dug through three dumpsters, flirted answers out of God only knows how many unsuspecting men (half of which were old enough to be her father), broken a few minor laws trying to find loopholes that were almost always highly unethical, and devoted hours to finding a way to twist the law however it needed to bend for a not guilty verdict. It was the kind of work she’d expected to do long after graduation, not in her first few weeks of law school. Oh, who the hell was she kidding, she never thought she’d be doing that kind of work. Yet, despite the demanding hours, and the fact that she more often than not believed the clients Annaliese chose to defend deserved to be punished for what they’d done, she didn’t quit. She never voiced her opinions. And most surprisingly of all...she loved what she was doing.  So here she was, camped out on the couch of the Keating home that also served as a 24/7 office, still looking through phone records a few hours after the others had gone back to their apartments either to pursue other leads or manage a few hours of sleep. The trial was only two days away, Annaliese expected nothing different.  But the night was mercifully coming to an end. She’d found what they needed, and she was confident there was nothing else useful in the records. With a quiet sigh, she stood up, stretching her stiff limbs before glancing down at her phone. Daniel had called a few times but she’d never stolen a moment to call him back. She made a mental note to text him when she left; she seriously doubted he’d missed her that much while he was partying with the fraternity of the night.  Smoothing the lines of her dark blue blouse as she walked, she made her way to the office. Bonnie had gone home an hour or so before and Annaliese had gone upstairs a little after midnight and hadn’t come down since, but the light was still on so she figured Frank was still burning the midnight oil. She knew the least about him of the three, but hopefully their exchange would be a short one. She had an 8 a.m. class in the morning she didn’t want to be sleeping through.  The brunette knocked on the door frame twice before stepping in the room, her dark eyes landing on Frank, set up behind the desk with only a small lamp to light the work in front of him. “Here are the phone records. I highlighted what we needed and attached my notes to them,” she said by way of introduction, stepping forward to place them on the edge of the desk. It was irrational, considering she barely knew him and she knew full well he wasn’t exactly in charge of her future with her job, but he made her nervous - and not just because he could have easily strutted off a Calvin Klein runway. There was something in the way he carried himself that made her sure he wasn’t just here to help Annaliese keep things running smoothly.  Tucking a lock of hair behind her ear and stifling another yawn, she gave him a questioning look, “Is there anything else you need me to do?”

{ regemxdamnatus } { methodtomymxdness } The goodbyes were the easy part. Putting on a brave face and telling her loved ones to go live the lives they deserved, to be happy, that was something she’d been able to do with nothing more than a few tears shed. It was what she owed them, and more than that, it was what she wanted for all of them. They’d all gone through so much, wishing them well...telling those of them who she’d never see again to live their lives out to the fullest was the last gift she could give them. It hurt to think she would miss Jeremy’s life, that she’d never see Matt and Tyler grow into the strengths she knew they had, that she would miss Bonnie’s wedding day, and that she’d never be around to watch Ric get his happy ending...but life wouldn’t be what it was without tragedy woven into it. It was painful, but she’d been able to come to terms with it because she held the hope that they would all lead good lives. That when she finally woke, there would be countless stories of the happiness they found.  Saying goodbye to the people she would see again...it wasn’t even goodbye. Decades would pass, but they’d all be reunited again. In Caroline and Stefan’s case, she hoped they’d be doing that together. Seventy years was more than enough to realize you were in love with someone.  When it came to Damon, she couldn’t deny how badly her heart ached. She wanted her life with him right then and there. The idea of being forced to wait decades to have it, of being trapped within the walls of her own mind while his life moved forward, that had been one of the hardest things to stomach. But she did it. She smiled at him, she tried to push him to make the most of that time, and she hoped more than anything else that he would find happiness in their time apart.  But those things, every last one of them, they couldn’t compare to what came after. She wasn’t Sleeping Beauty tucked away in a tower awaiting the kiss of her true love in a dreamless sleep. It was a prison sentence. She was cut off from the world, all too aware that time had just kept on going and she’d been left behind. Elena had wondered more than once if she wouldn’t have preferred being trapped in the spirit world...at least there she would be able to watch her loved ones. The sleep Kai trapped in offered no such mercies. It was just her and a world of thoughts she couldn’t escape.  Time lost all meaning. Her hope for the future she would wake began to feel like a fantasy world that would never come. And after a while (exactly how long she’d never know) it became easier to sink into nothingness. To stop thinking altogether. Because day dreaming of the day when she could finally open her eyes and find Damon again and stop swimming in a sea of regrets and what ifs was a torture she couldn’t bring herself to live in.  Yet it was because of her painstaking familiarity with that world that she knew the instant something changed. It was small at first. Just a spark of light in a sky of blackness. But it grew and she quickly began to realize that she felt more aware than ever before. She could feel her lungs working again, hear her heart begin to pump.  It was a rush like nothing she’d ever felt before. She had no proof, but she was sure she was waking up. Of course the excitement was tinged with grief that hadn’t fully hit her yet...if she was returning to the world of the living, it meant Bonnie was gone.  But no matter how sobering the thought, this was happening all the same. A tingling sensation coursed through her limbs; every lungful of breath she took breathing life back into her body. She could smell the stale air of the crypt around her, feel the softness of the padding she was lying on.  And then finally...finally her eyes fluttered open. The darkness that had been her world was finally replaced by the stone ceiling above her, the colors of the stained glass windows dancing across the walls with the late afternoon sun. And most welcome of all...Damon looming above her.  She’d waited so long to see him, to find herself lost in his eyes again. Slowly, her lips curved into a smile, her tongue tracing over her dry lips before she managed a whispered, “Hi.” And before she noticed they weren’t alone. Her dark eyes drifted past Damon, her brows furrowing slightly when they landed on someone she never expected to see when she finally woke again, “Elijah?”

{ methodtomymxdness​ } Resurrection wasn’t the overwhelming flood of joy that so many movies would have you believe. At least, not entirely. The movies always neglected the hard parts. They showed the happiness of reunions and the relief of having a lost loved one back in your arms...but they never lasted long enough to see what happened when the shock wore off. They never showed the vulnerability of suddenly finding yourself alive again, nor of having to fear the same thing that cut your life short could easily happen again.  And they really never touched on the complications that came with waking up in a new body, suddenly human again, with no explanation but a witch you’d met a handful of times telling you not to blow your second chance at life.  That had been a little over twelve hours ago, but it still felt just as fresh now. She felt like she was living in a dream, like if she pinched herself hard enough she’d wake up in that strange in between world to the harsh reality that she was still dead. This wasn’t supposed to be possible, yet somehow Davina had managed to pull it off. But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Yeah, she was alive again, but she was human again. Humanity only added to that sense of vulnerability, and she found herself aching for the strength she’d grown used to running in her veins.  And...she wasn’t...herself. It shouldn’t have been a surprise. When Klaus compelled her to kill herself, her body had been reduced to ashes. There was no way she could have just gone back - but that didn’t make staring at a stranger’s face in the mirror any easier. Just as getting the ‘second chance at life’ didn’t erase the threat to her continued existence. If Klaus found out she was alive, what were the odds that he’d just let her live? She had been Elijah’s punishment; and somehow she doubted the Original hybrid would be too keen on just letting bygones go.  If she’d been smart, she would have run. She would have left New Orleans in her rearview and started a new life. She had a new face, and it wasn’t like anyone would come looking for her. Davina had assured her that she wouldn’t say a word to anyone about her resurrection if she decided to run.  All she would have had to do is get on a bus and never look back.  But she couldn’t. There was one reason she’d never be able to walk away so easily again; Elijah.  She knew it was crazy to let herself be so ruled by her emotions (especially since, arguably, her death had been a result of that), to risk what she knew was her only second chance just to go back for a man that she still wondered if his heart would always belong to someone else...but she didn’t have the will to do anything but. That last moment they shared when he told her she didn’t have to guess still played through her mind on a continuous loop...the image of his grief when she looked up at him through the balcony bars hadn’t stopped haunting her.  No matter how unconventional or ill timed their connection had been...it was real. They were real. And she cared about him too much not to go back, no matter the risks. Even if all that came of it was absolving him of the unwarranted guilt and grief she was sure he would let himself drown in.  So instead of fleeing New Orleans, she was walking back through the doors of the compound, trying to ignore her racing heart. The last time she’d been here...well, she didn’t need to go there. But being back was anything but comforting.  Especially when she was being greeted by the sounds of the courtyard being demolished.  She froze almost as soon as she moved through the doors, blue orbs widening with shock as she watched Elijah tear apart everything in his path. The metal chairs which usually sat in clusters around the room now lay in twisted scraps by the stone walls, mangled by his strength. Planters and statues lie in pieces around them. His anger...his fury was so palatable she could feel it in every nerve in her body. It took only a matter of seconds to come up with a list of things that could have pushed him this far, though her immediate fear was that something had happened to Hope. Davina hadn’t been kept in the loop for a while so she had no answers to her questions about the youngest Mikaelson and the psychotic witch that had been trying to take her. Had Dahlia made another move...had Klaus?  Scared for him, and for Hope, she finally managed to force her frozen limbs to move again, her steps echoing as she moved further into the room. She knew he would hear, if not her footsteps than her heart hammering in her chest. She only wished when he turned that he’d see her.  “Elijah?” Despite herself, her voice shook, and she winced at the sound. It wasn’t her voice. It was a different pitch and it still sounded strange in her ears. But she didn’t really have any choice in the matter but to get used to it. She’d much rather be alive in a stranger’s body than dead in her own.  She waited with baited breath for him to turn. It had been weeks since her death...but it felt like it had been a lifetime since she’d seen him. Since she’d felt his touch or seen that familiar glow in his eyes. She tried to prepare herself not to see the same joy in his eyes that she felt in her heart; when he finally turned he wouldn’t see the dark haired woman he’d once trained to fight.  There was so much standing in their way...so many risks, but she knew without a doubt that she’d do whatever she had to not to be away from him again.

{ parkerwitch​ } “Do me a favor and don’t freak out, I don’t have the capacity to be compassionate right now.” Yeah, it wasn’t exactly the kindest greeting in the world, but she didn’t have time to break the news gently. Hell before she’d walked into the bar, she’d been tempted to be even less subtle than she was now. Now wasn’t the time to beat around the bush; she could be sympathetic once the threat to their lives was gone.  Or maybe their ‘life’ was a more appropriate term, seeing as how they were essentially one and the same thing. Or at least, that was her theory. She hadn’t been able to test it yet, but it was the only logical conclusion to a really fucked up spell she’d been hoping wouldn’t be a death sentence for the better part of four months.  The truth of the matter was that she still knew little about what had happened. Or rather, how what was playing out was even possible. She remembered watching cartoons when she was a kid where some funny looking little mad scientist managed to clone something, but it wasn’t supposed to be possible in the real world. Not even by supernatural standards.  But then again, Kai always had a talent for pulling off the sick and twisted.  For now, however, understanding all the details was going to have to take a backseat. The priority right now was to get her...clone on board with what was going on and coming up with a way to get rid of their brother; the psychotic one who’d managed to escape the prison world and really wanted her...them dead.  Sliding on to a bar stool, she glanced away from her other self (was there any way to phrase any of this that didn’t make her sound like she’d lost her damn mind?) briefly to make sure no one was watching them. She didn’t need too much word traveling that Liv Parker had another twin. Once she was satisfied, she looked back at the other, trying to ignore how eerie it was to be talking to herself. “You and I need to have a little chat about how we’re going to live to see tomorrow.”

| I Might Get A Little Drunk |                           Closed RP

{ mynamesenzo​ } Unrequited love is bloody awful.  Over an hour had passed since they’d had that conversation, but the words still echoed in his mind as loudly as they had when Enzo said it. Before then, he hadn’t been thinking of it like that. It was more like trying to avoid how he felt and the emotions the vampire was stirring within him all while simultaneously resenting the connection he had with Damon. Like...he’d allowed himself to believe that if Damon weren’t in the picture, Enzo would be free to make different choices. Free to return those feelings.  But when Enzo spoke of his relationship with Damon, Silas had begun to wonder if he didn’t mirror the exact same rut with him. Enzo was unsure of his future with Damon because his heart belonged to Elena.  He was unsure of his because Enzo’s still obviously belonged to Damon. It was that thought that had him reaching for a bottle of scotch only a few minutes after they walked through the door of Shelia Bennett’s house. The place was in foreclosure, so no invitation needed. With no Bennett’s left alive to pay the bills, it seems the good folks down at the bank weren’t feeling too charitable. Not that Silas gave a rat’s ass. It worked out pretty well in their favor.  Busying himself with searching the shelves of one of the bookcases in the living room - and continuing to sip on a surprisingly good bottle - he called out to Enzo, “You find anything good?”  And by good, he meant something that might actually help them with this seemingly pointless mission to pull Damon Salvatore from a prison world. Thus far, the only thing they’d found was a liquor cabinet and a bunch of nauseatingly cute pictures of Bonnie as a kid.
