The day had been going quite alright through the house. The patrons were happy at the bar, Eddie focused on himself making the drinks as per usual.
However, there were no sights of Volt. Not in the main area of the bar, not by the stage, not by the bar flirting with Eddie, not in the front door greeting patrons and guiding them. That was an unusual sight. Even Magney seemed to have found the lack of Volt's presence strange, as the Rockweiler seemed uneasy and wandering back and forth between the entrace and the bar.
However Eddie didn't worry himself too further. Afterall, Volt knew how to take care of himself if anything. So he focused on the drinks and shaking them, although his mind kept focusing on where the fuck Volt possibly was. Surely, he heard something had gone terribly wrong between him and someone else. So likely he just needed some time to cool down.. right?
The sudden silence as the lights go out feels heavy. The patrons suddenly all start chattering loudly about the sudden power loss.
As soon as the sound registered on Eddie, he had dropped everything within the bar that hed been doing, his steps faster than hed ever manage them to be. His hands are shaky as he fiddles with the door to their appartment above the bar, as while Magney is making sure no one is getting hurt within the bar as Eddie rushes himself.
The sound of the patrons fades out to Eddie as he manages to open the door. He almost trips over himself as he rushes up the stairs towards their appartment, fiddling quickly with the door to inside yet again. His mind screaming at him about Volt, he couldn't tell what was wrong. But damn it did his chest suddenly feel too tight and hurt.
As the door finally opened, Eddie took a shaky desperate breath out of fear, his eyes scanning the dark and seemingly empty appartment. He reached towards the table by the door, grabbing a flashlight and turning it on. Before he looked around with it.
His voice came out more desperate than it should have. He started walking around the house, going from the entrace /Living room to the kitchen, back to the living room and only then reaching the room. He slowy and carefully opened the door, his hand shaking as he used it to look around the room. Nothing. His breath was shaky, and became even more shakily as he didnt find Volt at first. However, that was untill he pointed the flashlight to the floor, and his body froze.
There on the floor, laid Volt. His hair basicly with barely any light with it, the buzzing gone. His body trembled as he laid there, hair over his face. The flashlight almost dropped off from Eddie's hand.
“ Shit. Shit shit Volt?! ”
Eddie rushed to Volt's side. He knelt down, his hands reaching to Volt's shoulder and carefully shaking him. His own hands were shaking as he tried to wake Volt again, his breath quick and shallow as he did so.
“ Shit. Volt. Please wake up- ”
He grumbled, voice low and desperate as he kept shooking the other. He's shaking gets faster, more desperate even. He's panting by now, but trying to keep his shit togheter, he couldnt help himself but almost have tears falling down his cheek.
Thats when Volt let out a small groan alongside a cough, his body trembling as he did so. Eddie stopped shaking the other, his body trembling softly, tears slighty falling off as he watches Volt, eyes wide open.
Eddie mumbled slighty. Volt grumbled more, forcing himself to sit up. Eddie shifted himself, helping Volt sit on the floor, leaning on him even.
“ Hey, hey. Take it easy, you seem pretty weak right now.. ”
Eddie said softly, holding Volt who was weakly holding onto Eddie. Volt leaned onto Eddie's side, taking shaky deep breaths, body trembling with emotions and weakness, as Eddie remained silently beside him, just making sure he's okay at the very least.
“ Hey. Hey Volt. Volt, look at me. Please. ”
He mumbled softly to the other. He needed to make sure he was here with him, and didnt have his mind anywhere else at all. Volt took a good moment. He looked up at Eddie slowy, his eyes filled with exhaustion and tears in them.
That broke something within Eddie. He brought Volt closer, hugging him tightly and in silent. Volt was silent, burying his face on Eddie's shoulder, his hands shakily reaching up around Eddie's body, clinging to him now.
A long moment passed untill Eddie felt Volt fall asleep in his hold, however, that was the same time he felt something— or someone— move. He was silent, slowy beinging Volt to lay on their bed, tucking him in before he walked around.
As he stood back up to his spot, Eddie grabbed the flashlight. However the lights suddenly came back that time, making him flinch at the sudden amount of lights despite the room being dim lit still.
The sudden female-ish voice caught Eddie off guard. His body stiffening before his head moved down. He then waset with quite the sight on the floor, eyes widening even more as he stared at the figure on the floor.
He mumbled as he took a step back, his eyes on the girl who sat on the floor, confused and seemingly lost...
