Someone suggested part of an animation meme with Larghetta and @double-octavo​‘s Major and I couldn’t stop thinking about it to the point where I did a rough gif.

This ended up leading into other things too that I ended up doodling too. For reasons.

Dolcia: The Arcane

((Just a little piece I made to keep you guys tied over while I work on the next part of HO&TSM!))

Dolcia the Arcane is the child of Queen Harmonia the Dark and King Octavo the Undaunted and heiress to the throne of Symphonyxia. Inheriting her mother’s playful and curious nature and her father’s stubbornness and bravery, Dolcia is a brave and kind soul who never backs down in the face of danger. Dolcia gained her title from her skill in the arcane, one of her biggest successes being the ability to enchant already existing weapons with Symphonyxian magic rather than creating a new weapon from magic. Speaking of which, Dolcia is skilled in both sword fighting and magic, as well as inheriting her parents’ musical talents. Despite not being able to cast dark magic like her mother, she is still a strong fighter as well as an honorable one. She won’t run from battle, but she won’t kill a person either unless there is no other option. She also has some of her parents’ spells such as Harmonia’s Brightest Hymn and the summoning spell for Octavo’s champions.

Musical General of Symphonyxia: Major Octavo the Undaunted

Leader of the Symphonyxian Royal Guard, composer, sorcerer, swordsman, king of Symphonyxia...he’s known for many things. But most know him as Major Octavo the Undaunted - Harmonia’s right hand and husband. Over the 25 years, Octavo has been taught how to wield a sword by Link and wields a sword that can both cast magic and function as a blade. His hair has been cut with his bangs restyled and has grown a small bit of facial hair. Like Harmonia, he dons a cloak and wears the mark of the Symphonyxian royal family crest on his uniform - styled similar to his old composer outfit. 

While he may look older, Octavo hasn’t changed much personality-wise. He’s still a bit of a goof but still has his usual confidence which has only grown over the years. Like Harmonia, his spells have grown stronger and still has his four champions and is able to fuse into Octonia. He also has the Symphonyxian Royal Army at his disposal, but will try to avoid dragging them into conflicts where there’s a high risk of failure. 

Octavo’s cockiness causes him to sometimes rush into battle without thinking, leading for the rest of the Divine Quartet to bail him out. Harmonia and Octavo’s bond has only strengthened in 25 years, to the point where the two both rule over Symphonyxia together. While they may poke fun and tease each other from time-to-time, they are practically inseparable to the point where some of the subjects refer to the two of them as Octonia since they’re never apart. But one thing is always for certain: they will always have each other’s back and will never lead each others side!

CoH: Divine Quartet AU

((Just a little thing that I thought about. Inspired by @double-octavo​‘s Major Octavo AU))

25 years have passed after the events of ‘Cadence of Hyrule’ and ‘Harmonia, Octavo & the Silver Mage’, and everyone remembers the heroic battle between Ganon and the five heroes that slayed him - Cadence, Link, Zelda, Yves, and Princess Harmonia. So Ganon shouldn’t be a problem right?

Our heroes couldn’t have been more wrong...as not even the future is set in stone.

A young Ganondorf had heard of the deeds of Octavo and the five heroes. Upon becoming Ganon, he shattered the Triforce into pieces and scattered them across the land. Unable to defeat Ganon without the Triforce, Link and Zelda have set off to find the shattered pieces. But they can’t leave Ganon alone to take over Hyrule Castle, right? Therefore, Zelda decided to assemble a group of powerful individuals from 25 years ago, who she named the Divine Quartet.

Queen Harmonia the Dark: the now grown-up Harmonia rules over Symphonyxia as its queen, using many types of magic to protect her kingdom from monsters and is a powerful sorceress.

Major Octavo the Undaunted: Octavo, now skilled in music, arcane and swordsmanship, serves not only as the general of the Symphonyxian Royal Guard, but as king to Symphonyxia, ruling alongside Harmonia.

Krys the Silver Mage: the ever famous Silver Mage travels across the land learning and teaching magic wherever she goes. Of course, she still visits Hyrule the odd time during the past 25 years.

Vaati the Wind Mage: no longer a threat to Hyrule, Vaati travels alongside Krys to not only make up for his past mistakes, but to learn more about magic and how to utilise his own abilities for the good of others.

Zelda tasked these four to make sure Ganon doesn’t bring Hyrule to its knees during their quest to find the Triforce pieces. While they may still be as oddly matched as they were 25 years ago, they are stronger than before and ready for anything!

...at least they hope so...
