As promised, THEY'RE HOLDING HANDS!!!! this is in fact the first time Maka allowed anyone who isn't Hermes to touch him (again- lore reasons) and was immediately embarrassed because Odysseus commented his hand was surprisingly cold and not-so-surprisingly smooth!

Makarios was purring the whole time they held hands hehe (this isn't anywhere super specific in the timeline of epic aside from "a few days after they met" since I'm still deciding when I want them to meet exactly)

(Also I was wondering whether I should randomly post little fun and not fun facts about makarios... Since I'm still trying to find to maybe begin writing out his lore and everything so yeah, lemme know what u think ૮(˶ᵔᵕᵔ˶)ა )

Cyprus Marks 45 Years Since the Coup That Gave Turkey the Pretext to Invade

Sirens sounded around Cyprus at 8.20 on Monday morning to mark 45 years since the coup by the Greek military junta then ruling Greece, that toppled Cyprus President Archbishop Makarios, subsequently leading to the invasion.

Wreaths were laid at the tombs of those killed. Political parties held special events in various towns to commemorate the dead and condemn the crime against Cyprus.

On July 15, 1974, the Greek military junta and its Greek Cypriot collaborators carried out a coup against Makarios.

Makarios had just returned to the presidential palace in Nicosia from his weekend retreat in Troodos. As the coup was unfolding in central Nicosia, the president was meeting with a group of Greek children from Egypt.

I might get shit for saying this but some of the fixation that people still retain on Makarios is...I don’t know...not totally healthy, for lack of a better term? For instance my grandmother had a framed picture of Makarios hung up in her house surrounded by crosses and such. Maybe it was just her being weird and other people aren’t like that but I always got a weird vibe surrounding that whole thing.

Today my friends Trysta and Lorinn threw me the loveliest little birthday party! It was so sweet I cried, thank you so much!!! You’re wonderful never change ❤❤❤ (the first photo is a hbd banner written in Greek, the second one is a cake with 21 written in Greek, the third is a birthday card my Greek teacher made me that scans perfectly and has our class epithet for Apollo, and the last one is the candle and Aesop’s fables book she got me bc we used to translate them in Greek 1 because she’s thoughtful) @2ndconjugation @lorinnarielle

FINALLY FINISHED SILLY LITTLE MAKARIOS YAYYYY , I've been wanting to do his character sheet for so looooong 😫😫😫 (the little doodles are supposed to be semi-accurate height differences)
