I'm trying to make a list of my favourite villains and wow. Writers love giving them scenes where they talk about their movies/books/food etc. Like it's a really easy way to humanise them, I suppose, but it's also has the objectively funny result of making it look like having opinions on video games or movies is coded as Villain Behaviour. Protagonists don't do that, but the evil villains have time to be like "you know necromancer actually fucks real hard. Go read that book if you haven't"
