The video announcement for the new Stargate show had only white men present.

Look, I love Stargate. I want new Stargate. I also want it to be good. But it needs to learn from the past. We need to be loud now if we want women/diverse writers. I don’t want the old boys club still doing all the writing!

I want this project to happen. I’m excited. But it’s 20 years later…Maybe we can push for positive change? Is Martha Wells free to consult???? I bet she’d make it amazing. (And she’d make sure they didn’t try to use cameos to confirm McKeller lasted, for example)

Ok, ok, ok. I *finally* got around to drawing more Lartis. I was planning on making a full render but decided… meh, it’s almost better without it. Nevermind Lara’s face would make more sense rendered because she’s like squished against his shoulder.

How would you make and post Kirby new gods story of your choice better? (I'm leaning 89 MM but your choice)

Queer it up with New Gods having a vastly different perspective of sex, gender, and relationships. Have them be routinely polyamorous and irreverently pansexual. Have marriage mean something entirely different for a New God from New Genesis than it does in the USA. I'd like to see them depicted as very much alien to humanity in their practices and even design.

I'd also like explorations of Apokolips as well beyond "It's a hellscape and a hyperviolent authoritarian state", we have seen glimpses of Apokolips having culture, mysteries, lost remnants of an older age and even groups within that are unique to what we've seen.

I feel like any of these elements added to pretty much ANY run would make them better.

She didn't look good. My normal, fun loving, full of life girl was no where to be found. I'd ignored it for a bit, writing it off as the poor weather. However it was more than her paling. She didn't eat as much, she ran off to the bathroom all the time, she had this weird mark on her knuckle that I noticed whenever we held hands. A lot of the time her face was swollen, her eyes bloodshot and weepy, though nothing sad had happened. I'd looked into it, and not found much, so I decided to look at muggle texts.

I was horrified with what I found. Some people hated how they looked so much, they would starve themselves or throw up any food they ate in an effort to loose weight. Thinking that my girl, my angelic girl who didn't need to change a thing to be lovely, felt this way, had made me break down in the library. People had been shocked that the Regulus had been sobbing in the library.

After our morning goodbye kiss I secretly followed her to the bathroom. My heart broke when I heard the sound of wrenching. It was more than puking, there was gagging and a horrible noise of forcible vomiting. She sounded like she was suffocating herself.

I couldn't stand it, I barged in. The books I'd read said not to be aggressive when confronting the sick person, but I couldn't sit here and listen.

"Mon amour," I called. She was bent over a toilet, forcing two fingers down her throat to purge the meager breakfast she'd had.

"Come here," I said, getting her away from the horrible toilet.

"Reg I'm covered in puke," she said dismally. She was barely fighting me. I realized she wasn't lying. I'd imagined just her hand being messed up, but it surrounded her mouth, pieces had splashed into her hair and her whole arm was drenched in saliva.

"What were you doing?" I asked. I knew she'd most likely lie, but I wanted to see.

"I think you know if you barged in here," she said in a raspy voice. I muttered a cleaning spell. I knew it would take away the mess but she'd still feel the need to wash.

"Regulus, I'm sorry," she burst into tears. "I just need to be perfect."

"No, you need to be you. I'm so sorry you ever felt the need to do this," I said and smoothed down her hair.

"Make it better," she said tiredly.

"I would if I could, but only you can. But dont worry, I'll be there for you every step of the way. I'll always be there."
