It's kind of interesting how Tumblr's community guidelines state that the website should not be used for encouraging hate based on sexual orientation and for harming minors, yet by blocking the lesbian tag on safe search @staff have deemed the identity of thousands of lesbians as nothing more than a kink and exposed minors to nsfw content they didnt want to see??

Lesbians are not for male consumption. We are more than sex and we are more than porn made for straight men. We are people and we deserve to be treated as such. We spend enough of our days being treated as lesser by our peers and societies. We do not need it from you too.

What happened to the lesbian tag???

Tumblr doesn’t want to deal with porn bots so instead they blacklisted an entire label as nsfw, which is complete bull and shows how lazy they are. They listed the lesbian tag (which has tons of sfw posts) as a nsfw and its honestly just so bad. Tumblr is also contributing to the fetishization of lesbians by doing so which is awful

Now that @staff has made the ‘lesbian’ tag NSFW, some people are recommending the tags ‘lesbiansafe’ and ‘makelesbiansfwagain’

but a note of warning if anyone searches for ‘lesbiansafe’, one of the blogs it shows on top of the search page is a porn blog called ‘lesbainsaf’
