Top Grades*
No no Make-up Mill readers this is not another dirtying down blog post, although we at the Mill do love a little bit of dirt every now and again. This is a top tip I have learned from a wonderful MUA about how to dull down teeth when the colour grading in the film or tv show you are working on makes your actors teeth whiter than Simon Cowls pearly whites!
When working as a Make-up Artist in TV and Film these are the weird and wonderful things you need to be aware of, how grading in post production can really effect your makeup. in this instance the bright white teeth may not be suitable for the overall look of your makeup so taking that brilliant white down without making the actors teeth look dirty isn't an easy feet.
Well it wasn’t until Fleet Streets Pegqworks tooth stain in ‘Coffee’ came to town to grubby up those gnashers. The polar opposite of what any Hollywood actor would want to see when they smile into the mirror the coffee colour simply knocks back the bright white glare of pearly white teeth and makes them look much more natural on screen.
Simply clean the teeth with a tissue and apply a fine layer to natural teeth for the most natural smile youve every had. (NOT CAPS, CROWNS OR FAKE TEETH).
