HOW TO CREATE A LUMINOUS FOUNDATION

STEP ONE:

Mix a foundation of your choice with oil or moisturiser. Depending on your preference, start off by adding small amounts of moisturiser/one or two drops of oil into your foundation and adjust as you apply onto your skin.

By using oil, you can thin out your foundation coverage, leaving a soft sheen on your skin and smoother application. It is a perfect fit for anyone who has dry skin and wants radiance by using minimal makeup products for a natural finish. Oil based products tend to have a shorter lasting finish, as the makeup can wear off through the day.

If you use moisturiser, this will also thin out your foundation coverage and leave a more supple glow effect on your skin for those who would like to layer on products and not have their makeup moved throughout the day. By adding a moisturiser it gives a more of a lightweight, creating your own tinted foundation. It is perfect if you have foundations that are too dry or powdery on your skin.

STEP TWO:

Apply around the eyes, avoid the under eyes by using the the FLAT APPLICATOR BRUSH 7. Applying foundation under your eyes can cause pilling and adding additional layers when it comes to applying your concealer. By keeping your layers minimal, your concealer will have a smoother texture on your skin.

STEP THREE:

Apply foundation to your nose and forehead to have a even skin-tone and coverage matching to your base. By using the FLAT APPLICATOR BRUSH 7 it applies product evenly with minimal product absorption. For a more natural look, apply a minimal amount on the forehead.

STEP FOUR:

When applying foundation, start from the centre and move outwards. A key area is the mouth and chin area, which is prone to shadows. To build coverage smoothly, using the FLAT APPLICATOR BRUSH 7 by layering with minimal application and slowly add as you go to your desired finish.

LAST STEP:

It is completely optional to set your makeup with powder, depending on your skin type. STEP ONE: First ensure you have blended out any creases before setting your under eye. In order to do this, look up and lightly stretch the skin to create a flat surface to blend it out by using TAPERED BRUSH 1 or any tool of your preference. Once you have blended the creases and dabbed away excess product, keep your eyes looking up to pat the powder in place by using a dabbing motion. It is always better to start with a light hand, slowly building up to your preferred coverage. When you blend and set on a flat surface, it is less likely you will crease. STEP TWO: Take the TAPERED BRUSH 1 to set in the inner corners of the nose and also the bridge. Additionally, if you find your base makeup moving on your upper lip area, set it in place with powder for long wear. By using the TAPERED BRUSH 1, you are precisely setting the area softly. If you tend to get an oily nose throughout the day, start by going light to avoid pilling when you need to retouch.
