It was in fact hilarious. That damnable empress looked like she would have poisoned me with cantigaster venom if possible. One member of the court saw me on the way out and pointed me out to the soldiers. If the special Constables and the Ministry can't catch me, the soldiers couldn't. That's not to say they didn't put up a good attempt, a low dirigible is all that stopped me from falling into the river after my detour through the flit ended with a bullet cutting the bridge I was on.
They seemed to think I would stay on the dirigible. But, I am not an idiot, at first, I tried the saner option, aiming for the roof of a tall dock building, planning to run to my Zubmarine, but their was a small army waiting there, so, I instead jumped on the outside of a tomb-ship as it pulled off. When I had climbed aboard I apologized for my trespass and offered to pay. The captain simply asked why I was in such a rush to get to the tomb colonies, and so, with an hour of preparation and what was left of my scripts, I organized a few old colonists from the fourth city into a performance. If only Feducci was on the ship, I would have cast him as the consort and made him a part of the most realistic opera death ever.
