Amelia's Disappearance: Part 2 - Amelia Captured
Skippio and Amelia are taking their time off, and at this point are visiting their old homeland in Gilneas. They arrive in Stormglen, which has become a very quiet and deserted village by the port. They move along through the streets and take in all the sights, awestruck at just how much had changed since the invasion. Streets that used to be bustling with people all over are now just a distant and faded memory. They both browse through the Inn nearby, and eventually come out to the back patio.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Amelia slowly exits the Inn, looking up and letting the rain fall on her face, as she breathes the scent of her homeland again. Her ears lay flat against her head as she turns towards Skippio. "Everything's... so dead..." She turns back around, "It's not at all like I remember."
Skippio looks around the desolate town, taking a deep breath. "Its been a long time since you were here... but for me..." His voice trails off, seemingly very uncomfortable being here.
Amelia turns around, moving to hug Skippio. "I know." She rests her head against his chest, "Thank you for taking me out here..." She goes quiet, taking comfort in his warmth against the cold rain.
Skippio silently and softly accepts the hug, nudging closer. "No problem... anything for you." His voice sounded calm, but a certain hint of unease was apparent. "Where to next?"
Amelia: "I don't know... where would a good place be? I don't want to go anywhere that's patrolled. Lycandria said the south should be fine." She looks up at him, "Anywhere else worth visiting?"
Skippio solemnly closes his eyes to think. "I'm not sure... there really aren't that many safe places..." He looks down at Amelia, "Maybe Menethil Harbor?"
Amelia tilts her head, "I haven't heard of it? Where is it?"
Skippio: "Its south of here, in the Wetlands." He said, trying his hardest to keep his cool.
Amelia takes another deep breath before separating from Skippio. "Okay, I think I've had enough of this place." She looks down, "It's no longer the home I remember. The scents, sights, and sounds are completely different... and dead..." She then motions for Skippio to lead the way.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Malavis slowly approaches behind them from a small road to the North. He appears human, draped in red and black robes, with a flaming staff and floating fiery crown. He speaks in a bit of a deep, strained, and unsettling voice. "Taking off already are we?"
Skippio suddenly looks at the stranger with both panic and distrust. "Who the hell are you?" He said, drawing his blades.
Amelia turns around swiftly with a growl already rumbling through her, staring the stranger down.
Malavis smirks a bit, "Oh come now, don't be so alarmed... I assure you I mean you no harm..." He grins wickedly.
Amelia sees his grin and draws her bow, pulling an arrow back slightly and aiming in his general direction.
Malavis: "Now... is this how you greet strangers?" He looks a bit tickled by the predicament.
Skippio glares at the stranger and keeps his guard up. "It is when they enter like 'that'." He snarls, seemingly about to change into Worgen form at any given moment.
Amelia snarls, "I didn't smell you coming. I smelt death, nothing else. What are you... 'Human'?"
Malavis looks around for a moment and then slowly walks around them, not feeling too threatened. He turns his back to them. "Well... what can I say... I know a few tricks." He smirks.
Malavis turns back around to face them. "Oh, I plan to stay back... I don't need to be too close..." He smirks slyly at Skippio.
Skippio continues to grip his blades tightly, snarling at this 'Human'.
Amelia finally draws to full length, still aiming at Malavis.
Malavis seems to be studying Amelia. "I sense much anger in you, darling..." He grins wickedly at Amelia.
Skippio: "You stay away from her!"
Amelia lets her arrow loose and swiftly pulls back another.
Malavis lets the arrow hit him, heading for his forehead. The arrow disintegrates, as if a barrier of flame is around him. He sighs a bit and smirks.
Skippio is shocked, being taken back slightly and nervously pointing his right blade at Malavis. "You... don't try anything funny, and we won't hesitate to kill you!"
Malavis cackles maniacally. "I'm sorry... but I've had this planned for a while now... and only this one, was the right one for the job..." He points at Amelia.
Amelia snarls as she lets another arrow fly. "Just kill him Skip! He obviously means harm." She then moves further away, continuing to fire arrows as opportunities present themselves.
Skippio doesn't wait another moment and immediately leaps at Malavis, attempting to strike him across the chest and changing into Worgen form in mid air.
Malavis creates a flaming barrier around him that blows Skippio backwards, sending him flying toward the back wall of the Inn.
Skippio collides with the wall next to the back doorway, knocking him out slightly.
Amelia lets out a deep growl, seeing Skip get blown back. Her arrows start releasing at a faster rate.
Malavis moves a hand up towards Amelia, disintegrating her incoming arrows. He then starts to heat her bow up, making it too hot to handle.
Amelia notices the heat and throws the bow at him, charging.
Malavis seems to vanish and then pop out of a demonic portal behind her, as she runs into the post of a nearby shed.
Amelia slams against the post, giving a yelp at the impact.
Skippio weakly looks up at the fight, watching a bit light-headed after being thrown against the wall.
Amelia turns around taking a few arrows from her quiver, and flings them at Malavis as she charges again.
Malavis grins wickedly and buffs his fiery barrier again, knocking Amelia back towards a post near Skippio.
Amelia flies back and misses the post, but slams into the barrels next to it instead. She lands awkwardly among the barrels and gives a light whine.
Skippio looks at Amelia, desperately reaching for her. "A...Amelia..."
Malavis takes the time to summon a fiery imp and a scorchling elemental, to press the advantage he already has.
Amelia seems to have hit her head fairly hard against the barrels. She's slumped against them, with her head hanging down and lightly swinging.
Malavis holds out his hand towards Skippio, as dark demonic magic seems to swirl around his throat, slightly choking him. He then slowly approaches them both. "Now... We can do this one of two ways..." He smirks.
Skippio makes some choking noises, struggling with the dark magic cutting off his air.
Malavis: "You can come with me quietly... Or... I will make you slowly watch the life drain from his eyes... Right here... Right now."
Skippio manages some forced speech, "I'll never let you take her... you son of a bitch..."
Amelia gives a snarl as she gets up, trying to slash at Malavis again. "I'll kill you, before you kill him!"
Malavis cackles a bit flattered, and then summons demonic magic from his other hand and targets her stomach loosely, just enough for her to feel it. He still keeps his other hand fixed on Skippio's throat.
Amelia stops mid swing, as a light whine escapes her. It's apparent she is straining between a lunge and staying still.
Malavis: "Oh yes... I know what you carry... and it makes this so much sweeter in all honesty." He grins wickedly.
Skippio: "Amelia... don't... stop... I'm not worth it..." He gasps for air.
Malavis tightens his grip on Skippio, silencing him and hoping to cause Amelia to worry. He then smirks slyly at Amelia.
Amelia's face switches from submissive to snarling. "Our pups Skip... I can feel him 'touching' them..." Her muscles continue clenching and spasming. She wants to kill this 'Human' in front of her desperately, especially when he is threatening her mate and pups, however, she finds herself powerless to do so.
Malavis: "Come with me now, and he lives... And you have your fair shot at me... Refuse, and I'll take it all away from you..."
Skippio continues to struggle, trying to motion to Amelia to let Malavis kill him instead, giving her the time to retreat.
Amelia slowly turns her head to Skippio, helplessly watching him choke.
Malavis: "See how he turns blue?..." He mentally toys with Amelia.
Amelia takes a deep breath of his scent before giving him a saddened smirk. "I love you..." She turns back to Malavis, taking another deep breath and preparing herself. "Fine... only if you let him go, now!"
Skippio's eyes widen in fear.
Malavis grins a bit satisfied. He releases his hold on Skippio, throwing him slightly into another pole to slow him down. He then summons a demonic portal for himself and Amelia. "I'm glad you came to reason..." He cackles maniacally.
Skippio is thrown against the pole, but the instant he regains himself, he vanishes.
Amelia doesn't see Skippio vanish and steps through the portal, her head bowed and ears flat against her head.
Skippio suddenly leaps out of the darkness, striking at Malavis' leg to try and stun him long enough to save Amelia.
Malavis grunts as his flaming barrier fails him, as his focus was on the portal. "Argh!"
Skippio: "YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET THIS, YOU BASTARD!" He attempts for another brutal strike at Malavis, this time going for the kill.
Malavis grins wickedly and cackles, disappearing into the portal that closes behind him.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Skippio collapses to his knees in shock, beginning to break down into tears. "No... no... I failed... I failed again... Dammit Amelia... you should have let him kill me... You could've gotten away..." He cries out. "Why... why was I so slow... why?... I could have saved her, I could have taken her place... I could have pushed her out of the way!" He sighs heavily worked up.
Suddenly, a sharp glint catches Skippio's eye. He stands up to check the barrels where Amelia had landed, hoping there was some sort of clue as to where they went.
He kneels down and looks through the barrels, only to find her wedding ring. He then picks it up with shaking claws, and tears form in his eyes again. "By the light..." He holds the band close to him, hugging the ring to his chest. It was the only memoir he had of his one and only love.
Skippio then slowly stood up, looking around the area. Amelia's bow was still laying across the way, warped and damaged. Another token of what he'd just lost.
Skippio's heart ached with the pain of a thousand burns. He feared this may be the last time he would ever see Amelia again. He sighed and shook his head in great frustration, then started shouting. "ALRIGHT YOU BASTARD, I'M COMING FOR YOU! A when I find you, the torture that you will be put through will seem like NOTHING compared to what I'LL HAVE DONE TO YOU!"
Skippio storms off in a rage, with Amelia's wedding band and bow in hand.
