Christmas party part 1
Cafe # 30 for 2016: The Rabbit Hole MNL, Malugay St. San Antonio, Makati City
Called them an hour before our group had Christmas party there and they were able to answer all of my requests! They immediately picked up the phone and told me they already reserved seats for 12 people. When I went there, the seats and plates and menus are ready. Wow. This recently-opened restaurant captured my heart because their food was relatively cheap but of quality. My friends ordered quite a lot of food. We almost order half the menu, kidding hahaha! I want to thank them for being supportive in my blog trips. They let me take a photo and taste their food. So let me start. MAIN COURSES: • TRH Hockory Spareribs - It was good for me! The serving was big with rice for only P235. The bbq sauce was neither salty nor bland. • Fish Parmaciana - The fish was soft and not “malansa”. I love the sauce they put in the fish. It was very tomato-ey. • Bibimbap Skillet - This is sooo worth it. You would be able to taste Korea for only P195. It was hot and tasty. Would love to have this one again. • Hainanese Chicken Rice - I wasn’t able to taste this one but my friends told me the ginger was too powerful. • TRH Nachos - just a usual nachos but the serving was really generous for only P180! • Chicken Wings - not really sure which chicken wings they ordered because The Rabbit Hole offers two kinds but this one was just okay. Nothing really special. The serving was still generous, though. • Cheesy Lasagna - The serving (for me) was good for 2 and it was only for P235 and IT WAS REALLY DELICIOUS. I swear. It is not too salty and I can taste real tomatoes! • Truffle Cream - another highly recommended pasta. It’s a bit pricey compared to Cheesy Lasagna but it was also good. It was really creamy. Huhuhu. Writing this review makes me want to go back there immediately! • Crispy pata platter -not sure if I’m just really not a fan of crispy pata or it wasn’t really good because I didn’t like this one hehe. The serving was also good for sharing but for me there’s something about the taste that I didn’t like. FOR DRINKS: • Most of us had their Matcha Latte or Matcha Frappe. They were both good! The matcha powder was there. I could have either the two or maybe both hahahaha. My friend had their mocha and told me the coffee was also strong enough. DESSERTS: • Blueberry Cheesecake - Fair enough! To think it was only for P95. Haaaay. • Braso de Mercedez - Also recommended. Not to sweet and not too “lusaw” hahaha. And it’s only for P70? How??? • Chocolate mousse - MY FAVORITE. Highly recommended. Not too sweet and the cake was firm. Wooooh! This is my longest review so far! Hahaha. So overall, I really love this place. Not too expensive to think the quality was really something. The staff was also friendly and patient enough to handle the size and noise of our group. The place is just really small. I will definitely come back. Definitely. I can’t wait to have their pasta and desserts again.
