you know what pisses me the FUCK off, is that any time an ace person does or says something homophobic people will parade it around. look at this ace person saying something backwards and stupid! let’s all fuckin cringe react and share it around

any time an ace person tries to have any sort of pride in their orientation whatsoever you mock them. you infantilize them. you parade them around as the “weird quirky homophobic child who’s secretly straight” 

i can’t talk about my own fucking identity cause i’m afraid i’m going to be one of the fucking circus attractions you make out of ace people. 

i want dignity. i want respect. i want to be fucking proud of being ace instead of feeling ashamed. 

and then. and then whenever anyone talks about aphobia in the queer community WHATSOEVER they get told to sit down and shut up. that they’re homophobic. that they’re bullying the people who step on them c o n s t a n t l y. 

i don’t even care anymore if you don’t think we belong, at least treat us with some goddamn decency. for fucking once.

you know what i like? kindness power fantasy ocs

like, making just regular power fantasy ocs is good and all, we all love to feel strong and in control and cool and shit

but just. there is something so absolutely healing about making a character that is unequivocally, altruistically kind, someone who is the embodiment of good, as a kind of goal, or reminder for what you could be. 

to then allow yourself to play out those scenarios, to be unequivocally kind at no cost to yourself is an abstract act of self-care on a deeply personal level
