Malic’s malevolent man-bats!
Aunt Agatha
So we know a lot about Martha’s family the Kane’s but we don’t know much about Thomas’s family. Except that they’re old money and had a beef with the Kane family.
So today I’m gonna talk about Thomas’s older sister, Agatha Wayne. At least I assume older it seems like she’s older. Now it’s safe to assume from both pre and post crisis that Aunt Agatha passed away sometime before Jason’s arrival. Most likely she was forgotten to the mists of times back to have an in universe explanation she’s never interacted with any of Bruce’s kids other than Dick so I think she died at some point.
Anyways golden age time. Batman vol 1 #89
This is why you change in the batcave Bruce
You can’t just say you’re eating out of cans Bruce that’s stupid of course she’s gonna stay
And some adventures and miscommunication later Agatha thinks they’re going to a masquerade party dressed as Batman and Robin
Due to being geniuses they get captured the Joker arrives
Or not it’s Aunt Agatha
Look at her go just ready to pop em
Anyways that’s her in the Golden Age or on Earth-Two
Aunt Agatha makes a brief appearance via flashback in post-crisis or New Earth in Batman #656. Also famous as the issue where Bruce meets Damian
And really I don’t know what to say. But if Bruce thinks man-bats are like his aunts cooking then I guess we have to take his word for it.
Aunt Agatha has yet to be mentioned post reboot but with rebirth it can be assumed she probably exists. Who knows what’ll happen with infinite frontier.
I think it’s good to remember both sides of Bruce’s family.
Somewhere in 2006 we’ve got these wonderfully alarming ninja man-bats.
Comics would never be this good ever again.
Dr. Moreau may have been the original man/animal mutator, but I bet even he didn’t have man-bats as orderlies.
“C’mon down! You’re the next contestant on The Price is Right!” “Aw, hell no!”
