I was really happy to see that visitors to #DeSotoNationalMemorial during the #GovernmentShutdown have been keeping the park tidy. No overflowing trash cans, no litter anywhere, and people seem to have been respecting the taped off area where new sod is taking root. There's a boardwalk through the mangrove swamp, and the shell path at the end is eroding. Someone put orange cones there so people don't trip--I'm not sure if park rangers put the cones there because they didn't have time to fix it before the shutdown or if someone from the community saw the danger and brought in cones. In any event, the park was as busy as it ever is at sunset, with people walking their dogs or out for their evening stroll. . . . . . #Nature #Florida #nofilter #sunset #FindYourPark #getoutside #getoutdoors #nationalpark #nps #greatoutdoors #mangrove #manateeriver #Bradenton (at De Soto National Memorial) https://www.instagram.com/p/BsM3TCkh7D8/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=m7m92dgt7ldc
