Konis rambling below , tw for species dysphoria and the like
To put it simply , I don’t like ‘ being ‘ a human . I have nothing against humans , for I live in a body with some of the kindest humans I’ve met , but this just isn’t for me . I don’t feel like myself .
Asides from the human stuff , I just feel generally disconnected from myself . I am a Mandalorian , but I can’t quite express that . I do not have the armor I should wear , and I can barely speak the language .
I can feel my montrals on my head , but they aren’t there . Same thing with my lekku . I also often feel a long prehensile tail .
Even if I didn’t feel so detached from myself , I feel alone . I have not seen any other Togruta on this site , and it’s the only place I know to look . I doubt there are any other Mando’ade either ..
Maybe that’s not true . But I just feel so lost .
Due to personal reasons I am now Mandalorian. -Rex (Star Wars)

(WARNING for MAJOR SPOILERS in the season 2 finale of the mandalorian!)
i'm not surprised that they brought me back, because i was desperate to find new students, and i do vaguely remember training a child like grogu. and i understand the limitations on CGI animation, though i'll admit the uncanny valley and expressionless face really threw me for a loop.
but honestly? i wish they had brought back anyone else. i am not happy to see grogu go off with a luke skywalker who will, in just a few years, attempt to kill his own nephew. i did not tale away children from their parents. if a force sensitive kid wanted to come with me, they could, and they were able to see their family at any time. i basically ran a boarding school.
i don't like the... luke skywalker worship? that seems to happen? especially when the canon luke has done something so horrible! and why is the post-ROTJ luke always so emotionless? being a jedi knight didn't strip me of my weird goofy streak. it's like everyone remembers what i was like in the second death star and they make that my whole personality. sure i could be cool and collected when i needed to be, but that's not what i'm like All The Time! i'm weird! have you ever seen me without that stupid glove on? (just kidding. i love the glove.)
anyways i have very conflicting emotions. i'm glad that canon seems to match with my memories, but i'm unhappy that the canon luke skywalker is... not the right person to be training young and powerful force users. i hope grogu will be okay. - 💚 luke

Do I support Luke Skywalker and genuinely believe he would never do something like "steal" a child? Yes. Do I want to shake Luke Skywalker a little bit for taking the kid immediately after a few more of the worst days of his life without so much as five minutes just to breathe or a card with some contact information for those of us who can't send telepathic messages across the galaxy? Also yes. I can multitask. - Boba Fett
On the subject of the holidays and specifically Star Wars ones, it's funny to me that Life Day is "Star Wars Christmas" but it's celebrated on November 17th, the day the Holiday Special aired. (It's also apparently my unofficial "birthday", since Boba Fett first appeared in the Holiday Special.) It's a fun holiday though.
I've been thinking about the nearest Mandalorian equivalent lately. It's technically a spring holiday, but it doesn't have a name in canon. All we know from canon is that it's a celebration of the end of winter or equivalent fallow seasons and it involves eating a lot of food. I think I remember hearing that it had something to do with the story of Kad Ha'rangir defeating the personification of entropy once, but that people didn't really focus on that aspect of it anymore. I didn't really get much opportunity to celebrate it the way I heard about since there's not much in the way of seasons on Kamino, but my dad still tried, and that was nice.
I’m so happy, cuz I’m making Christmas cookies of The Child, and their so cute! Man. I miss the little fella. At least I have a plushie of him I can hug.
