Rewatching Rebels and I can’t get over what Kanan says to Sabine in Season 3 episode 15.
“History lesson: The Jedi won the war with Mandalore! These tricks will amount to something, maybe save you from time to time, but they won’t keep you alive in the long run.” Now, I believe that he had her best interests at heart, and he seemed to be hoping to goad her into performing better with the darksaber, but what he said is vastly uncalled for. The Jedi and the Republic invaded Mandalore out of fear that the Mandalorians would disturb the peace in 738 BBY, and the fighting ended when the Republic bombed Mandalore so thoroughly that the entire surface was permanently reduced to a barren wasteland. This is still fresh in every Mandalorian’s mind by Sabine’s time, and nearly every Mandalorian still wears the Heart of Beskar (the elongated hexagon in the center of Mandalorian armour), a symbol of remembrance for that event, Dral’han, or the Annihilation.
You can see Fenn Rau isn’t pleased with Kanan mentioning this, and it’s clear Kanan has overstepped his bounds, and you can see how deeply it wounds Sabine that he would bring up such a recent tragedy in Mandalorian history, and emphasize the rift between the Jedi and Mandalorians.

Friendly reminder that Mando’a is a gender neutral language. the singular pronoun is kaysh, and refers to everyone regardless of gender. All titles, including things like father/mother, son/daughter, etc. are gender neutral as well. interesting aside, kaysh also doesn’t change form, it’s just kaysh regardless of whether it’s being used in a situation where “they” or “them” would be correct. additionally, it doesn’t have a possessive form, since that’s denoted by a different prefix so “their” would look like be’kaysh
I’m hoping we get an animated series of Sabine and Ahsoka looking for Ezra next, because it makes the perfect set-up for the SW animated show formula (over-arching plot with potential for unrelated episodic shenanigans) But I also know that’s probably unlikely, given that we’re hearing rumours about seeing Sabine and Ahsoka in season 2 of The Mandalorian (which I am very excited about, by the way) Either way it’ll be exciting. Also I’m hoping that if Din meets Sabine, we can get a line that confirms why Sabine and other Mandalorians can remove their helmets in front of other people, and Din and the other Mandos in the foundling covert can’t. Maybe a “Why don’t you take off your helmet?” from Sabine, and a “Because I’m a foundling.” from Din, or something to that effect.
Okay I know that she just left Mandalore and all but hear me out. I think that Ahsoka should go back to Mandalore, and live with the Mandalorians for a time, before the Emperor’s forced Saxon takeover and her time working as Fulcrum. Why do I think this? Well Ahsoka and Bo-Katan are on good enough terms (friends? girlfriends? just allies? I’ll try not to speculate too much.) that Bo-Katan is comfortable sharing her clothes with Ahsoka. What do I mean?

And here’s the first time we see her after she boards Bo-Katan’s ship. But how do I know this is Bo-Katan’s?
This outfit has the Kar’ta Beskar, the Heart of Iron (that elongated hexagon on her chest, belt, and the lower half of the tunic) in three different places. The Kar’ta Beskar is a uniquely Mandalorian symbol of remembrance for the Mandalorian Excision in 738. It’s such an important symbol to Mandalorians that it can be seen forged into Din Djarinn’s armour in 9 ABY, 747 years after the Excision. The point being, this is a uniquely Mandalorian outfit that Bo-Katan has let Ahsoka wear.
Since the Mando’a prefix to indicate possessive is be’ and we know that Bo is a common first part of Mandalorian names I imagine that one might frequently hear Mandalorians saying be’Bo
