In my last drawing, Lena finally got a taste of her own medicine. So in this one, rather altruistically, Victor comes to Lena’s aid after she attempts to flee from GHOST, and the oncoming attacks from the Quintesson warship - That’s what they’re both staring up at it, in this picture. I really LOVE the idea of the anti-hero character who everyone expects to behave like a monster, because of past behaviour or the way they look - Lena has always hated Victor, given he killed Karen Croft. In the rp I’m doing, Karen and Lena were best friends and Lena hates Vic for what he did.
However, despite the hardship she’s put him through, he was still able to show humanity to someone who really didn’t deserve it. Earthspark never really gave us much in the way of that - the idea of forgiveness being extended to everyone, regardless of their species, or their crimes. I think forgiveness has to be earned and that’s a theme I’ve been exploring in the au I’ve got going on with my friend.
