I think another thing that appeals to us DFO theory fans is that...

It is amusing to see the two Most Powerful characters on the show fight/have a custody battle over the Formerly “Most Power*less*” person on the show

Gotta have Izuku experience fatherly love from the most extreme ends of the fatherly love spectrum

And its also interesting bc both AFO and AM looked at shy, quirkless Izuku and valued totally different things. AM loved Izuku for his selfless heroism, for his continuing kindness despite adversity and his determination to be a hero for everyone.

AFO, however, admires Izuku’s sharp cunning, his ability to see, understand and make plans about quirks in the midst of battle. In a DFO sitaution, it could potentially be asign of a latent AFO quirk which would make him more interesting to the villain.

The thing is, these seemingly contradictory personality traits are BOTH part of the whole that is Izuku, he is as sharp and manipulative as he is kind and awkward. Dad Might and DFO are seeing two different Izukus when they look at him, AM I feel will be able to make the jump and accept the less savory parts of Izuku whilst AFO still scoffs at Izuku’s humanity.

I’m up awake thinking why First seems so shady...

But then my line of thought spiralled and maybe the real reason why all OFA holders seem so shady is because they’re making up a reason to not get transferred anymore because they LOVE Izuku and their boy keeps self-deprecating/trying to yeet them away

Izuku: “okay, im not worthy, i will transfer you to mirio”

OfA: “if he accepts :/ we will respect your wishes. but hopefully he doesn’t”

Mirio: “No thanks.”

OfA: “Atta boy. Looks like you’re stuck with us Izuku—“

Izuku: “Okay how about transferring you to Kacch—“

OfA, going back: “NO”

OfA vestiges, having a Secret Meeting: “He can’t keep doing this. We need to stop this RIGHT NOW. Even Yagi-kun is subconsciously wishing that Izuku should have more confidence in himself”

First: “Listen, I have a Big Brain idea. My Brain is so wrinkly watch this”

First, turning away from the secret meeting: “Izuku. If you transfer OfA to someone who has a quirk, you will D WORD. If you give us to Quirked people, they will burn out and you definitely do not want that. It HAS to be someone Quirkless, okay? 👍 Oh wait, Quirkless people are Hella rare oh no. Good thing you’re Quirkless and it ended up gucci, yeah?”

Fourth, pulling out forged evidence and death conspiracy boards out of his pocket: “YEAH we have proof that what First said is true!”

First: “There is LITERALLY NO OTHER FATED CARRIER but you please dont give us away we love you and your heroic spirit “

Izuku: “hmmmm, theoretically I could transfer you to someone like Ragdoll who is a Pro Hero and is currently Quirkless but yeah okay I’ll bite”

Oh ok I am intensely into OfA being sketchy for completely unexpected reasons so I'm loving this

Nana: bad news everyone. He's in a coma now, but when he wakes up... You remember after the Overhaul fight?

Banjo: how could I forget, we owe that blonde a favor for saying "no thanks"

Nana: and the Nabu Fight?

First: hard to forget that off brand version of my brother, yeah.

Second: I think being in the other kids was worse, ugh. Zap me again with lightning and give me death flashbacks instead

Nana: my point is, the pattern says when he wakes up he's gonna try again, and he's certainly got enough misplaced guilt shimmering about

Fourth: oh... He's gonna try to pass us again? You're right, it does seem likely

Third: well, how can we stop him? He already saw you and Nana defend and choose him again in front of your brother, is there anything we can do to persuade him more?

Six: I don't think being direct would help. We could get Yagi to do it...

First: no, no. He won't do it for himself, that's the problem. The only way he'd stop offering it to others is if- oh. Is if he thinks that holding on is saving them.

Fourth: ooooh I see where you're going with this. We play up the fact that your brother will murder anyone else so he can't pass that responsibility to them?

First: Maybe, I don't want to discourage him into thinking he's doomed to die from my brother too... Ok. Here me out. We tell him that it will literally kill anyone with a quirk to hold.

Nana: what

Sixth: means he can't pass it to anyone with a quirk. There's no way he's gonna go back to I island to make a pass right now, so he'll have to hold onto it because he doesn't want to kill his friends, who all have quirks.

Banjo: ooooh I see. I like it, simple. And not like any of us lasted long enough to dispute that, cept maybe Fourth, but he doesn't know that

Fourth: I'll just lie, yeah

Second: .... Ok, I'm not saying it's a bad plan, but, love of my life, have you considered that maybe you're trying a little too hard to hold onto him? We all love him, but to manipulate his choices so he can't leave?

Third: yeah I'm not really down, I don't think I could lie to the kid about something that serious. And since he won't say it, you're acting a little bit like your brother.

First: ...

Nana: I'm down for the plan.

Second: what??

Fourth, Banjo, Sixth: same

Third: really?? And three of you were actual heroes?

First: you know, speaking of my brother, we're going to need someone to keep him out once we bring the kid in. Dear, Third, why don't you do it? :))))

For the OFA holders playing DND, can Izuku be the Dungeon Master and the holders are excited for it because they discover that the kid’s worldbuilding is so extensive and detailed and interesting? 👀 Plus they’re so bored in Vestige World on account of some Holders being predictable with their plots and worlds, so having someone with a different style is cool

Ooh I like it I like it. I was thinking that First kinda gets defaulted to dm, but honestly I think he'd want to Not be the dm sometimes, especially after literally centuries of it, and then finally this kid comes in and offers to dm? He's perfect, he's First's favorite and Yoichi is unapologetic about it.

Izuku and Yoichi are the only ones to have a truly terrifying amount of handbooks and guides nearly memorized, but that just makes it all the more shocking when izuku created a plot twist that threw them all and was new. Not even Fourth can pick out which NPCs have red flags and which are genuinely trustworthy out of character, so they all have to actually rely on their character rolls, and that's terrifying sometimes when izuku smiles serenely while they do it

For the prettiness stockpile au, during the sports festival, i imagine that during the first match, it will be the first time that Shinsou goes tongue-tied as he sees his opponent. It takes a few seconds before he realizes that neither of them are moving, and he panics.

He tries to cobble together a sentence against his newfound crush and goes with, “Hey, Ugly!” because surely, someone with a great skin-care routine like that would take offense against his appearance?

As expected, Midoriya appears shocked. Less expected, however, was a blinding smile and his excited response: “You...don’t find me nice to look at?” 👀 :DDD

Shinsou quickly grabs control of Midoriya because that bright smile is gonna be the death of him if it goes on any longer

I did write the shinsou scene idea for gentry as part of an exchange that I'm now realizing might hold less water but yes you are correct in that Shinsou is very tongue tied and dry mouthed about Izuku, especially once they're alone on the field, and he doesn't manage to find his words again after izuku breaks out xD

So, Shinsou, right

He looks over, he sees he's supposed to be fighting Midoriya Izuku. (im not sure if the glamor affects photographs or if it takes him a moment to realize the awkward green boy in the pic is the super cute green boy who was insane in the earlier rounds, but he figures out who it is)

He starts towards him, and opens his mouth, but isn't sure what to say- he forgot, was he going to challenge him as a rival? was he going to insult him? offer congrats or good luck? he knows he had a reason but he completely forgot his train of thought

Izuku:... are you ok?

Ojiro: donnnnt answer that ok hold on i need to catch you up dude (drags mido away)

Shinsou figures oh yep hes gonna be warned but. he seems nice. worried. might be easy to manipulate into talking.

he is not easy, because for some reason once they're the only ones on the field, the sun is right on izuku, and the gold on his green hair? the way hes freckles stand out even from a distance once you know they're there??

Shinsou's mouth goes really dry and even though he thinks of a few clever jabs, he doesn't manage to brainwash izuku until he's shoved down and he manages, stunned, "what, not even going to use your quirk in the last round, pretty boy?"

izuku goes 'um' for one second, but its enough

and the ofa breaks him out, vestiges giggling the whole time, and shinsou is even more stunned he doesnt manage to say anything the rest of the match at all
