Imagine Whisper pointing at Startline and threatening to kill Mimic if he doesn't release Tangle right now. The octopus just laughs, saying the typical "I don't care" phrase: —Let her go, Mimic. Or I'll kill him right here! —Whisper said angrily..

Tangle struggled, trapped by one of Mimic's tentacles. The knife was almost touching her neck. —Really, Whisper? Is this how you're going to play? Threaten me with him? —Mimic tilted her head and laughed. —Don't provoke me," Whisper added through gritted teeth. —You know better than anyone that I don't form bonds. What am I supposed to feel if you kill him? Sorrow? Remorse?"

Both girls gasped. They thought those two had a relationship beyond their alliance. But knowing Mimic, Whisper already feared it; for a moment, she felt sorry for Starline.

No, she doesn't. Those two deserve each other."

—Please!" If you really thought that would work, you're dumber than I remembered. Did you think of all the idiots… I'd care about him?

Starline's face suddenly hardened. Something about Mimic's comment —so casual, so gratuitous— struck her deeper than she expected. A pang in her chest. Annoyance? Hurt pride? Something else?

Mimic kept talking without stopping, turning slightly to look at Whisper directly, as if relishing the moment. —What's next? A poetic threat? Come on, Whisper, you're better than this. —he smiled.

At that instant, Starline took advantage of the distraction. She swiped at Whisper's wrist. The wolf stumbled backward. In an instant, Mimic spun around, ready to stab Tangle, but was met with a kick. —No so fast. —Tangle landed on her feet, panting—. Eh?  —Tangle! —Whisper sat up, furious.

They both looked around, but Mimic and Starline were gone.

Starline had her back to him, fiddling with her devices with a cold expression. They hadn't said a word since they escaped.

----- —Are you really going to pull that silent act all day? —with an ice pack on her head, she looked at him disdainfully

Nothing. Starline remained focused. —Oh, come on. Were you really offended? It was a distraction! I saved your ass! And what did I get out of it? This! —he pointed to her head..

Silence remained, save for the beeping of Starline's devices. —I can't believe it affected you. —he threw himself down on the makeshift couch, tired of waiting for a response.

—It doesn't affect me. I'm working. 

—Ush, fine if I worried. Happy!

—I told you, I don't care

—Don't you dare lie, Starline!

Starline stood up, touching his temple, ready to leave since he was already irritated by all this.

— Don't ignore me, damn it! —Mimic stood up, grabbing the platypus's arm, causing it to groan—. Wait… you're bleeding!!

—I'm fine.

—No, you're not, let me see. —Mimic wrapped his tentacles around the platypus.—. Starline, I swear if you don't show me your wound right now…

Starline sighed, lifting his sleeve, revealing the bloody bandage to Mimic.

—That doesn't look good. —Mimic nodded—. Can I go now?

Mimic didn't let go, remaining absorbed, touching the texture of the wound and observing the occasional scar that caught his attention. They weren't fresh.

—How did you…?

—Whisper has very sharp nails. —he said as if it were the most obvious thing.

—That's not what I mean. —Mimic pressed a specific scar.

—Oh. —Starline swatted at him—. No questions asked —He tucked his sleeve under his sleeve, hiding his scars again —. Just help me bandage it. I'm terrible at it.

—I don't doubt it, you're terrible at it.— he let go of her hand, but her tentacles were still attached.

—Ejem— Starline cleared her throat..

Mimic, coming to, loosened his grip on her tentacles.

—Let's change that before you bleed out.

🥭Well, I didn't expect this to be so long. But I enjoyed them. I translated everything into English because I originally did it in Spanish. I hope it hasn't changed much.

Couple pronouns got mixed up in translation, but AAAAAAHHHHHHHH *(flips over table)* THIS IS WHAT WE NEED!!!!!

Martyn is a mimic, and thats how he slightly changes species and makes creeper noises. He didn't tell anyone this. No one is aware this is what's happening. At some point they just all assumed he was really good at it, and that the life serise is just being funky and changing him like it does to Scott occasionally. But no, it's just completely him. Changing from carboy to dogboy in-between session one and two of secret life? Just him goin "eh, dogs fit better".

This also leaves him feeling like he should bite and eat people as red life, but he has resisted the urge this long, and he does not plan to act on said urge anytime soon.

He has used this to just absolutely torment everyone he can.

I just read your soulmate au and you said you wanted to add some more angst and i had an idea so i wanted to add my two cents

So, picture this:

Marco was like: i want to be his Equal, i want Marc to see me as worthy of being his soulmate and so on.... and what if someone (someone who doesn't like him, i'll just use jorge m. bc 1. I don't like him so he can be the bad guy, and 2. the two of them used to be teammates so it isn't completely impossible for him to figure it out) knew about the real soulmate mark and by extension about marc and marco being soulmates by idk seeing him in the shower after a race or some drunk talk or some other thing and then being like "can you imagine how embarrassing it is for Marc to have such a loser soulmate, i'd kill myself " and marco actually believes him and he thinks "i can never let him know, he think i am a loser and he would make fun of me and humiliate me in front of everyone and i would lose the academy and by extend then everything and everyone", (which is of course utter bs) and that leads him to deny it when marc gives in and ask him to more or less fuck and he gets all defensive about it and is like "why would i ever want to kiss you, i'd rather kill myself" and marc is like *heartbroken stitch noises* (bc marc IS stitch from lilo and stitch, argue with someone else) and goes to cry himself into next season in alex's arms and alex plans arson

Or if jorge makes some off-handed comments leading vale to put 2 and 2 together and confront Marco

That got a bit carried away and it might be weirdly worded bc my brain is fried rice atm but what do you think?

You have no idea how good that actually fits into the angst I made up. Really spices it up even more! Cause the is focused on Bez self worth issues and dealing with Marc who acts differently towards him which lead to anger and misunderstand. So adding this is like fuel to the fire.

So just so that I get you right. Martin is talking to someone (Aleix??? Maybe? Aleix would make the most sense from personal relationship but I like Aleix so I don't know if I'm pulling into this. Maybe someone from the pramac team?) and he says that "I'd kill myself if I was Marc" quote which is overheard by Bez (sad Bez noises leading to more self worth issues turns anger)

And YES MARC IS STICH I AM ON YOUR SIDE!

I like the Vale finds out part too. My first thought when I read this was that Vale gives Bez lots of bs (doesn't fire him though) and Marc finds Bez crying his eyes out behind his garage at a race weekend because Bez is anxious he's going to get fired. Like he straight up thinks it's his last race weekend and he will never return to motogp. Or if it's an already established relationship between Marc and Bez, Bez is making a 13 hour drive to Cevera from the ranch toarc to cry in his eyes cause his dad Vale yelled at him. But I kinda like the first idea more.
