So, Hi everyone! Iām really obsessed in making a video blog or a short film. So, my teacher in Media and Information Technology teach us the basic camera techniques. So above the images that is the example on you take a picture or even a video good for your vlog or short film. So letās start!Ā
The first image is one of the basic Camera Shot and itās call Extreme Wide Shot. This can be taken from as much as a quarter of a mile away, and is generally used as a scene-setting, establishing. This shot is really goof for the opening of the movie or a short film.
The next basic camera shot is what we callĀ Ā Wide Shot. This is the most difficult to categorize precisely, but generally one which shows the image as approximatelyĀ ālifeā size corresponding to the real distance between the audience. This shot is good for walking scene or if you want to film the height of your actors and actresses and you want to emphasizes the background.Ā
This is the Medium Shot. It certain a figure from the knees/waist up and is normally used for dialogue scenes, or to show some detail of action. This shot should be taken from knees above or waist up.Ā
Next is the Close up.Ā This shows very little background, and concentrates or either a face, or a specific detail of setting. Usually here in the Philippines, they use this kind of shot so that it can capture the beautiful face of my teacher XD no, but to capture the emotions of the actors.
And lastly for the basic camera shots, the Extreme Close up.Ā This is an extreme version of the close up, generally magnifying beyond what the human eye would experience in reality. Here is the shot that you can feel the true emotion of the person. Just like what my classmate says, they cannot hide the true emotion of a person when you look in their eyes. TIPS: The camera man should use a tripod to avoid any act of shaking.
So another images but different camera techniques so this pictures that I will present to you is the Basic Camera Angles.Ā
The first image is the The Birdās-eyes view.Ā This show a scene from directly overwhelmed, a very unnatural and strange angle. Commonly this angle is best for the opening part where, you cannot see anything but a tiny person walking on the street, etc.
The picture is the High Angle.Ā High angles make the object photographed seem smaller, and less significant. So in this picture, you can the people talking, walking or something. They look smaller in the picture.
This is the Eye Level Angle, the camera is positioned as though it is a human actually observing a scene. So they didnāt know that I was taking a picture, so based on my observation I observe them talking, using their phones and the camera looks like the eye of mine, capturing and observing what happen in the particular scenario.
And lastly, the Low Angle.Ā These increase height and give sense of speed motion. The background of a low angle shot will tend to be just sky or ceiling. So picture shows the new building of our school but still the background is the sky. Though the background of the picture/film is the sky, still the focus of the picture/film is the building.
So thatās it! Thank you for viewing my blog. Hope you learn something to make your film presentable and beautiful. Thank you and God Bless everyone! See you on the next blog!
