They can’t sit still for long. I hear them laugh at me, I hear their hate.

"Oh! Yes that would be me."
And man is Neff feeling shy. She never really thought about if Katsu was talking about her to other people, so to now find out he was after deciding the tea blend she'd made up for him was so delicious he needed to share it with others, well it had her a bit flustered.
Because just how much had he said about her? Logically it didn't make sense to say anything more than she was the one that made it, but what questions had she asked afterwards, and what did she know?
This woman at least knew where she worked and wanted to meet her enough to stop by.
Picked a good time to as well, since it was a low traffic hour.
"I'm Neff. Nice to meet a friend of Katsu's."

“You seem… out of place.” (Tomomi)
first meeting sentence starters.
The train was quiet, the low hum of the cabin rolling along the tracks making the world outside nothing but a blur, a distant memory that would be forgotten with time. She wasn't interested in looking at the scenery, more preoccupied with the newspaper she had folded in her lap, her eyes drifting across the page towards a little innocuous article hidden down in the corner.
Meanwhile, the man sitting across the booth from her seemed to be asleep, his eyes closed with his head slumped against the windowpane. Finally, she could have some peace, fully intent on enjoying it while it lasted as she kept her faculties to herself, crossing one knee over the other as her ankle bobbed with the rocking of the train. Just catching up on some light reading, and whatever politics had arisen within the realm...
Never mind that the man sitting across from her was cold to the touch, and had been dead for some time now. A doctor, ironically enough, who thought that he could pull a fast one on her by booking a plane ticket, but instead leaving by train. Classy, but hardly original in terms of an escape plan. She had his soul, secured and locked away inside her briefcase underneath her seat, and none of the other passengers were any the wiser...
... Well, except for one who seemed a little too nosy for her own good.
She cut a glance up towards her, her eyes scathing and full of malice for intruding upon her space, barely moving a muscle as she remained firmly rooted in her seat. She would have hoped that one glare would have been enough to scare her off, but no. Of course, her good luck would have to run out eventually. And here, she thought that her day had been going so smoothly...
"No more than anyone else here on their way to work." She brushed her thumb over the crease in her newspaper, looking briefly between her and the body taking up the seat across from her.
"Don't mind him. He's dead asleep. You can take the seat next to him if you like." Best not to take the seat next to her unless she wanted to get elbowed in the ribs. She liked her space, and liked bubbly strangers butting in on her infinitely less.

“I want to preface that Manny and I are very platonic at the moment. But.. you know what they say about bald men right? That they’re packing heat. Like I know he’s all self conscious about balding or whatever but I bet it’s big. I wanna see it.”
