Sam (Mantarei87) has a smile that lights up the whole world, livens up anybody's dashboard.
Hey dudes. I finally got around to doing the Perfect Imperfections video Angel tagged me in.
Basically, talk about three things you like about yourself and three things you don't. I tag Celeste, Sam, Jilda and Carolyn.
mantarei87 said: i have a jar too. at the end of every week all my change and extra dollar bills go in there, and then i put a 20 in every payday.
Oh, I like the idea of putting $20 in every payday, makes it more concrete, reliable and significant savings than just spare change. I'd assume that's for weekly or bi-weekly paycheck though.
Well I didn't have a shift at work today and am supremely bored so...
What’s your favorite smell? I love the smell of the fresh mountain air, the ocean, campfires, freshly cut grass, rain and often boys. Very cliche.
What are your favorite burger toppings? Lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, bacon, ketchup and mustard.
How do you usually start your day? Get up, go pee, drink coffee.
What are you letting yourself be held back by? Myself and my own fears. I'm scared of letting people in.
East coast or west coast? West coast, best coast. In Canada, Vancouver because they have the ocean and mountains. But I'm pretty happy with Calgary and our mountains.
Favorite way to eat eggs? Poached with a slightly runny yolk on toast.
Who’s your best friend? Have you told them how much you love them today? Jacki and no because she's in Peru right now and I haven't talked to her today.
What is your go to chipotle meal? I've never had Chipotle. I don't think we have it in Canada? Or at least not where I live.
What’s the next book you want to read? Well I should probably finish J.K. Rowling's A Casual Vacancy first. After that I don't know, I have about 10 piled up around my room.
When was the last time you felt like you were on the right path? Earlier this year before I went travelling and when I was travelling. Right now I feel lost and unsure.
What is the weirdest food combination, or meal, that you eat on the regular? Umm I have no idea...just a stir fry or salad where you throw every left in the fridge in. Not that weird. My mom ate a peanut butter and tomato sandwich on the weekend though that I thought was pretty strange.
Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate.
Favorite season and why? Love them all for different reasons.
How do you usually end your day? Reading in bed or watching shows on my laptop in bed. Lately I've been addicted to Parks and Rec and Grey's Anatomy.
What is one thing you dislike about your favorite holiday? Hmm I don't really have a favourite holiday. Let's say Christmas I guess. I don't like all the pressure because at least in my family it always leads to fighting and no one wants to fight on Christmas.
If you could pick up and go, and not have to worry about time, money, the things left behind, where would you go? EVERYWHERE! Especially after travelling through Europe there is not a single place I don't want to go.
Thanks Sam!
Thanks for the prompt Sam!
what’s your favorite smell? Oh wow, probably gingerbread. There's something about it that evokes home and comfort and happiness.
what are your favorite burger toppings? Avocado, ketchup, lettuce. And now I'm hungry.
how do you usually start your day? By hitting the snooze button approximately five times. And then, if it's a run day, I go on a run first thing. If it's not a run day, then I usually make coffee and breakfast.
what are you letting yourself be held back by? Imaginary obligations: to work, to friends, to a lifestyle. All of these could be changed but I feel like I can't do it.
east coast or west coast? West Coast, best coast. But mostly just the Sierras. I'm living on the wrong side of the country and I know it.
favorite way to eat eggs? Poached! Oh God, I love poached eggs. A little runny, on toast, yummm.
who’s your best friend? have you told them how much you love them today? I don't know that I have ONE best friend. I feel like I have a lot of people I would consider my best friends and they all mean something different to me. And probably not--I'm not good at showing personal emotions .
what is your go to chipotle meal? Usually the veggie burrito bowl. But that's because I can demolish an entire burrito in one sitting without thinking about it and I don't need all those calories!
what’s the next book you want to read? Don't have one on my radar. Just whatever I find that looks interesting.
when was the last time you felt like you were on the right path? Probably when I decided to move to the house in Virginia. Mind you, I'm having major anxiety about it now.
what is the weirdest food combination, or meal, that you eat on the regular? When I make food, it's all about combining it one big bowl. So I will throw basically anything together with kale.
chocolate or vanilla? Depends. Vanilla ice cream but chocolate cake.
favorite season and why? Fall. No, Spring. Actually, Summer. WINTER ALL THE WAY! I like them all.
how do you usually end your day? Reading in bed.
what is one thing you dislike about your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it's like Christmas without all the pressure. But there's still some pressure about it.
if you could pick up and go, and not have to worry about time, money, the things left behind, where would you go? Can I pick a trip around the world? For reals, I would love to see everything: The temples in India, the Great Wall in China, the churches of Russia, mountains of Afghanistan, go on a Safari in Kenya, the pyramids of Egypt, take my picture at the South Pole... I want to go EVERYWHERE.
thanks, sam
what’s your favorite smell? Fresh cookies, clean husband, garlic and onions when they hit a hot pan.
what are your favorite burger toppings? Avocado, bacon, cheddar, barbecue sauce.
how do you usually start your day? Turn off the alarm, hug Scott, pee.
what are you letting yourself be held back by? Fear and doubt, mostly. I'm working on this.
east coast or west coast? I'm pretending to be an East Coast girl. It's working well so far.
favorite way to eat eggs? Soft scrambled with home fries or poached on top of an English muffin with smoked salmon. Man, I want that right now.
who’s your best friend? have you told them how much you love them today? Jess: sure have. Celeste: yep.
what is your go to chipotle meal? Bowl with half and half beans, brown rice, carnitas or chicken, green salsa, a little pico, a little corn, guac and extra extra lettuce.
what’s the next book you want to read? I just picked up three from the library: "The Interestings," "We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves" and "The Cuckoo's Calling." Scott and I are reading this bad boy together, too. Man, I love this series.
when was the last time you felt like you were on the right path? I feel like I'm thiiiis close.
what is the weirdest food combination, or meal, that you eat on the regular? This is a hard one. I can't think of anything, but then again I'm sure there's something weird I'm into.
chocolate or vanilla? Ugh. I just want both.
favorite season and why? Fall!
how do you usually end your day? Spending way too much time on my phone catching up on Tumblr or reading blogs on my iPad. I'd like to break these habits, actually.
what is one thing you dislike about your favorite holiday? I don't like feeling like I didn't pick the right Christmas presents for my people.
if you could pick up and go, and not have to worry about time, money, the things left behind, where would you go? I'd go sit on a perfect beach for a while, with Scott, a stack of books and some tacos.
