It's almost winter- does Hoenn still have a mantine surfing scene in the winter, or is it too cold?

I mean, you can Mantine surf basically all year round unless the ocean's iced over, which doesn't happen all that often. Most of the big surf competitions and pros are out on the water around late summer-early fall for typhoon season, but if you can handle a Beartic Plunge once in a while then there's really no reason you wouldn't be able to surf in the dead of winter. And some certainly do, and I say they're a bunch of masochists, but Hoenn is nothing if not full of people way too into their respective sports so who am I to judge?

There was a slight preview of Suiren with Nagisa and Kasumi and Satoshi Mantine Surfing on Pokenchi! (I mean all of these characters surfing!) Very small one, but god it looked gorgeous. Finally Mantine Surfing getting its proper debut ;v;

Wait a minute. Is this actually suggesting that Guzma is not only a surfer, but a really good one?! These are the records of the Mantine Surfing in Melemele, and it’s just next to his house. I mean, “Boss” is debatable, but “Big G”? That sounds like it could be his nickname (many people call him that actually). What if that silver trophy he has is actually from this and not a battle tournament? xD

So I completely thought (like a lot of other people I’ve seen) that the “Big G” on the surf scores was Guzma, and “Boss” was Grimsly, since Oak said he could never beat that “kimono-clad fellow”.

Oak always came in 3rd, Big G in 2nd, and Boss in 1st, and if you talk to the man who gives you the surfing pikachu, he calls himself Boss.

therefor, Big G is Grimsly and I am saddened.
