You see, now I have to think out the stats for these things >:|
Maple Leaf Dragon
Leaf Dragons are True Neutral and dedicated to defending particular arboreal habitats against civilized encroachment. They also work to maintain their unique ecology, as these habitats are both home and their food source; simultaneously both a vast free-range ranch, and a vast orchard. Leaf Dragons are omnivorous with a pronounced vegetarian-bent, and the notable ability -through their complex and magical stomachs- to digest all manner of plant matter(with a particular affection for the tree-type of their leaf-association); they often live through the winter by eating brush and older trees, which is convenient as it reduces fire hazard during dry years and allows for new growths.
Maple Leaf Dragons possess two breath attacks:
The First, a highly corrosive enchanted ethylene gas which will induce immediate rotting in food, as well as corrode unenchanted leathers and immediately oxidize metals(transition metals most quickly; yes including any gold, silver, electrum, ect you are carrying. Enchanted money pouches don't seem so stupid now, do they >:]) not protected by covering enchanted materials(enchanted armors counts, so if it's in a pocket, kudos to you). Entities who fail their Reflex save to dodge the cloud(or who fail to move out of the way of the cloud as it moves and disperses, dependent upon the DM's choices as to how it behaves), must make a further Fortitude Save with -3 modifier or take xd10 Necrotic damage(x defined below).
The Second, a viscous stream of Magical Maple Syrup of variable volume determined by the Dragon. A Maple Leaf Dragon eating fully can produce 10 gallons of this Syrup a day and store 10x gallons in their Syrup Sack(x being their age class -wyrmling to Great Wyrm- 1-12) for use. Those included in the targeted area must make a Reflex save -y(y being the distance in meters between them and the edge of the Maple-Glob's perimeter), or use movement Feats(such as Great Leap) to avoid the save and escape. Making a save moves the character to the nearest edge of the aoe. Those who fail become incapacitated until they successfully pass a Fortitude Save(cumulative -1 for every turn they fail it) and all physical or Force attacks against them will succeed. Additionally, affected Elves must past a Fortitude save or fall into a Magic-Sugar-induced Stupor for 5 rounds. Affected Dwarves must make an additional Fortitude Save -z(days since they have consumed alcohol, with a max of 5) or take an additional 3d10 necrotic dmg from Fatal Sugar Overdose. The Magical solution is simply Too Saccharine for these Stalwart and Stoic peoples sans "fortification" :| Dwarves who have recently drunk alcohol(or are drunk right now :| :|) receive a bonus to both their Reflex and Fortitude save of +a(a being the proof of the beverage in question divided by 50, times volume consumed in pints :| :| :|)
Maple Leaf Dragons are, like all dragons, prodigious spell-casters, and can cast Druid spells at three times their current age level(Wrymling as a lvl 3 Druid, Great Wyrm as a lvl 36 Druid, ect).
Special Abilities:
Water to Whiskey: Once per day a Maple Leaf Dragon can turn x*10 cubic meters of water into high-grade whiskey, and vice versa. They get thirsty what do you want stop judging them with your judgy eyes >:( Those who consume this whiskey will react to the Dragon, it's allies, and all the animals and plants within their forest as if under the effects of a Friends spell.
Alternate Form: A Maple Leaf Dragon can assume the form of any animal living within their home forest at will. They can also take on a humanoid form of their choice. While in humanoid form they will possess a slightly strange vocabulary and accent, be noticeably more polite than others, have a particular affection for the inebriated, and have an enthusiastic affection for the color red.
Alcohol Breathing: Maple Leaf Dragons can breath while submerged in alcohol. Also, they never get drunk. Not Ever. Very useful for making money when they need it since they don't hoard conventionally.
Command Animal: Maple Leaf Dragons can command 5x of any of the animals living in their forest at will, any number of times a day.
Summon Ent: Maple Leaf Dragons and Ents get along very well, and will often call each other for aid in combat.
Weaknesses:
Hockey: Any Maple Leaf Dragon who witnesses a game of Hockey must make a Will save -5 or be mesmerized for 5x hours or until the game ends. Why this is, is A Mystery |:|
Cheese: Maple Leaf Dragons value Cheeses highly.
Ok, that's everything that occurs to me right now. If anyone sees this and can think of other funny/thematic attributes for these dragons to have, please let me know :]
Author's Note: I haven't ever played 4th or 5th Edition so I'm ??? on acceptability of the numbers here. Also, this is mostly just meant for laughs, obvs, as it's a funny idea that occurred to me when I saw This Wonderful Art.
