i'm very fond of usuk vs mapletea, alfred and matthew hating each other badly because they want arthur's attention all of themselves and can't stand their brother being the center of their mama's attention. while i believe mattie has very strong obsessive tendencies that consists on sabotaging and silently creeping into arthur's life, isolating him both physically and psychologically, alfred is much more blunt and aggressive, won't hesitate to threaten his own brother to leave them alone and stop trying to take arthur from him.

the only moment when they actually work together is when other nation threatens to take arthur for themselves. they'll do anything to keep him by their side, no matter how messy the situation could end up being.
